Great experience and a lot of fun for the 412 year olds we brought. Challenging for their age level so I’d recommend a few Dads in the mix to keep the problem solving going. Very creative and well organized. Quite an undertaking by the owners and creators. Keep it coming!

Amazing place to bring your family and friends! I have been there twice(pirate, and chainsaw) and each time we always have a blast. The staff are extremely nice and helpful. You have to give this place a try at least once!

LOVELOVELOVE! This place is a first-class experience in every way. The people there are incredibly friendly, professional, and creative. I went with three other people for the room in a cell where you try to escape from death row. We had the room to ourselves(they said that sometimes with only four people, they will add another group, up to 8), which was awesome. The puzzles were not super easy but not crazy ridiculous, and they would give you clues if you got stuck. It was so much fun to find clues in strange places, and it made me feel really smart when I figured something out. There were actually three rooms in total that we went through, and although we hadn’t finished everything when the hour was up, they were super nice and gave us an extra half hour because we were so close to figuring it out. It was an absolutely amazing experience! They are so very creative! I will definitely be back to try all the other rooms, and I highly recommend you try this place out. It was only about $ 25/person, compared to other places I’ve seen which run close to a hundred. These guys deserve all the business they can get for putting together such an unforgettable experience!

My group of friends had such a great time at Trapped! The staff was an absolute pleasure to work with and added to the fun experience. The Pirates Tavern was so cleverly put together and had every single person in our group busy working on tasks. We will definitely be back to test out our skills in the other rooms! This is such a great addition to the Cleveland area!

Skip this and check out the other Escape Rooms in town, or just save your money altogether. While they deserve kudos for bringing an Escape Room concept to Cleveland, the gameplay is a bit sloppy and clunky, and the customer service was abysmal. Before we even entered the room, we were a bit disappointed with the 20-minute-delayed start time, which included overhearing the spoilers we heard the previous team discussing in the lobby on their way out, with the owners making little effort to prevent them from ruining our experience. The intro was cheesy(laughable, almost) and the staff member guiding us was a bit flippant and conveyed an attitude that she just couldn’t be bothered. Getting started with 8 people crammed into a tiny room(beware: they will pair you with strangers if you do not book the entire room) was uncomfortable and left several people standing by with nothing to do. All in all, the clues and gameplay was decent at best. The red herrings, instead of being cleverly distracting, were actually misleading and confusing. Certain puzzles required brute logic(for instance, you find 3 numbers but there’s no indication as to what order they need to be in, so you just have to try them all), and most of the other ones just missed the ball completely. The clues provided were poorly timed(we received clues for things we already solved) or non-existent(though they are supposed to be constantly monitoring the team, an entire 15 minutes passed when we sought out a clue toward the end). There was one clue, which the staffer later described as THE most important clue in the game, that she realized(after we were let out) was missing from the room. Oops! And the biggest pet peeve was the customer service. After the game, we brought to their attention our frustrations(the missing clues, the illogical puzzles, the misleading red herrings, ignoring our plea for a clue when we needed one, etc), and they could not care less, shockingly. In their attempt to «apologize,» they contradicted themselves and flat-out lied to us a couple of times. I’ve never experienced customer service where they made zero attempt to make things right — did not offer a full or partial refund — did not offer to comp us another room — nor anything in between. You will leave this experience frustrated and disappointed and I strongly suggest you find other activities to do in Cleveland. There are several other Escape Rooms in town to explore — and more opening soon — hopefully with their act together.

Went for a night out with friends… I had no idea what to expect and it was a blast! We did the Pirate themed room… was very challenging but if you go too far off or take too long they do provide help and extra clues… we almost made it through and would definitely try another room… its great team working fun!!! They mentioned getting 2 new rooms soon and would love to check them out!!! Highly recommend this place!!!

We went here for a friend’s birthday. I worked with Allen(owner) and one of the other employees to figure out logistics a little more than a week in advance. They prefer being contacted by email(info on website). They were very nice, very responsive and even personalized our room by incorporating the info about the birthday man. It was a group of 7 people in their mid 20s and everyone had a ball!!! We all can’t wait to go back. They currently have two rooms — Pirate and Cell but they’re working on 3 others. I’m hoping to go back for their Halloween room. The course(we did the Cell) is well designed, the puzzles are challenging yet do-able and the best part is there’s enough to do that every team member can contribute! You have 60 min to «escape» your room using the clues and puzzles provided in their maze. I wouldn’t go to these rooms with kids aged under 13(at the earliest) since it does require some thinking. Pricing is about $ 28/person but you can always ask about a group discount if you know there’ll be a certain amount of people. My only con would be that they haven’t figured out a way to prevent others booking a room when it is a private event. Some of the other escape rooms will list that date and time booking as «Private» so that others that aren’t part of the party don’t book by mistake. Allen was fantastic about calling the other people and having them change their reservation but I felt bad that it had to be done in the first place so I hope they’ll figure that out soon. Awesome people though and I am really excited about this venture!

This is a very good praise for you and your friends to go together and have some fun. We almost gone but add to the lost and room we are so excited and forgot to look carefully and miss a very important clue. The people there are very nice, they allow us to take 10 more minutes. They will have full mall rooms at the end of this year and I’m sure I will want to go there and try it.

Really fun experience. I did the Jailhouse challenge with four other friends. The puzzles were fun and challenging. Different challenge rooms will be added in the future, and I will definitely be returning to try them out.

So much fun, creative and bonding! Can’t wait to return to try other rooms where we can test our problem-solving skills and see what talents our other family members have. The owners are extremely enthusiastic, supportive and add to the fun. We were a group of seven, aged 10 to 82. As promised by the owners, everyone will be able to contribute to the adventure; and that they did. What a great afternoon adventure.

There’s a new escape in town and Trapped CLE will not disappoint. Booking: easy peasy from their website. They offer pricing for adults, students & children. Location: Cleveland Heights– in between Big Fun & American Apparel. Parking/access: street and small, deck parking available. Upon approach, the door may be locked. Relax. If you have an appointment, they will come unlock the door to greet you. I think early, self-entry might disrupt a game in progress, so keep that in mind. A small elevator is available for anyone not being able to take the stairs. Intro: you’ll see. Game play: you’ll see. Design: here’s where I can elaborate a tad… My comments here will not give anything away, but it will set Trapped CLE aside from any escape-room experience you may have had. If you haven’t played before, it will set the precedent. The owner’s brother is a construction contractor with mad skills. Everything is solid and professionally done. By that I mean, it looks like they hired a firm for the design and build out. You’ll see. Hint: collaboration is key. Other: two new rooms are expected to open this month. The owner is strategic when it comes to juggling large groups! That’s all I can say… Lips sealed.

My friends and I decided to check out Cleveland’s escape room last week– I believe they’ve been open for about 3 weeks now. We had a blast! «The cell» was so much fun. The clues and setup were excellent. I can’t give much more information, can’t give it away, but definitely bring some smarty pants with you :)
