Excellent service and food! I visited on while on vacation with family and we were very impressed with our dinner. Some of the dishes we tried were the bleu cheese chips(sooo good as a side!), mahi sandwich, T.A.B.L.E sandwich(very large!), and mediterranean wrap. We finished off the meal by splitting a slice of carrot cake, which our waitress said they make in-house. My family is obsessed with carrot cake and we all agreed it was by far the best we’ve ever had. We are back in Michigan now and my husband is still talking about it. We will definitely make a trip back here, probably just for the carrot cake!

This place has amazing seafood dishes, the crab cakes eggs benedict was amazing. They also had a creole red snapper special. The specials are different every day and there is usually something interesting to try every visit. I do have one complaint and that is the ease of consumption for the handhelds. The burgers and sandwiches are often very juicy(wet) and fall apart easily. They don’t keep together very well and I usually end up having to use my fork.

Nice place, little pricey for me, but not bad. Tostadas had shredded duck meat, which was probably why two of them cost $ 12. Had beans, cheese, some salad and onion toppings. Good taste and presentation.

Very mediocre gastropub. The food all sounded better on the menu then it actually tasted. The beer selection was also much more limited then expected. The service was the only high-point — cheerful staff with great attitudes. Won’t be going back soon.

I was tentative and came out highly pleased. Our server was intimately aware of the menu and very pleasant and the food was different and surprising for this area. I had the blueberry burger, shrimp and grits and calamari. All were prepared deliciously. I understand that this restaurants roots are food truck. Congratulations on the move up and thanks fir a great food experience!

What a great little spot to go after you have visited the Lakeridge Winery. This place is just down the street from the winery and has some great food items on their menu. I love when a place has eclectic choices where you are torn between half the menu! I ended up ordering the blueberry brie burger and boy was it delicious! The food was beautifully presented and absolutely tasty! The blueberry compote wasn’t very sweet, it was a perfect mix of tangy and sweet with the nice fresh taste of brie and delicious mushroom ragout. Keep in mind I normally don’t like mushroom and thoroughly enjoyed this on the burger! Huge tip ** you have to swap out your fries for the blue chips! Sooo goooooood! Great crispy potato chips smothered in a blue cheese dressing with chunks for your eating pleasure! Normally when I get blue chips restaurants are sometimes weak on the blue cheese part, but not the Crooked Spoon! Every bite had a great covering of teh blue cheese. I highly recommend this place! I can’t wait to come back and try other food items. Next on the list for me is the chicken and waffle !!

We’ve been three times now and for the price, it could be a lot better. The blue cheese chips are really good, and that is about it. We have tried the steak sandwich, a burger, and macaroni and cheese, all of which were nothing spectacular. On two separate occasions we had the chicken and waffles, the first time it was great, which is why we ordered it the second time, however, the second time the waffle was not light and crispy as it had been, but dry and hard, as if it had been there for a couple of days, which was really dissapointing. After three visits and so-so food, we wont be back for dinner again. But a drink or a beer at the bar with an order of blue cheese chips would be worth the trip.

Excellent experience. My mom and I went to lunch here. I had the 420 burger which had an onion ring on it, along with a pineapple compote and candied bacon! Sooooo delicious cooked medium just perfect. My mom got the French dip sand which. My mom is very very hard to please and she was impressed so overall we had a really nice time. Our waitress was friendly and mentioned the restaurant used to be a food truck! I love food trucks so it makes sense that we throughly enjoyed our time here. Will definitely come again to explore the beer and deserts!

Good service! And nice presentation. The beer cheese appetizer and eggplant parmesan entrée were very bland. Everything was served slightly cold. Definitely nothing special.

Highly recommended! We found this great spot on Unilocal! It was excellent! The menu was very eclectic. The food was very flavorful and interesting. Several choices were things i have never seen on a menu. Our server Tanny was upbeat and friendly. I wish we had time to go again while in town. Don’t miss this place!

Again, food is fine, that’s not the issue. Called in an order today. It took forever? Why? Oh, we don’t have that anymore. Oh, we’re out of that. Oh, this. Oh, that. I said this in my previous review. Good food, bad business sense and inexcusable shortages and changes. Their website kinda looks classy, but they make it hard to read. Then, apparently it’s not up to date. How hard is that? I’m a school teacher and can keep my students’ online assignments up to order as well as do a million other things, and they cannot? Sigh. Not a lot of choice. Good food. Great beer list.

This was my first visit to the Crooked Spoon. I had heard of this place so after leaving the Lake Ridge Winery, after a Saturday afternoon event, I gave it a try. Parking was easy. Entry was inviting. After having a craft beer at the bar I was seated promptly by a very pleasant hostess.
First I ordered the Drunken Pineapple Salad … Crispy Prosciutto, Shaved Aged Jack, Grilled Red Onion, Mixed Greens, Rum Soaked Candied Pineapple covered in a Vinaigrette Dressing. Excellent choice. Delicious salad.
Next I had the 420 Burger … Florida Angus Beef, Swiss Cheese, Honey Mustard Aioli, Candied Bacon, Fried Onion Ring, Pineapple Relish on a Toasted Brioche Bun. This burger was less than I expected. The burger patty was quite small and overcooked. I have had a better burger at Burger King.
I left this place feeling a little disappointed and a little overcharged. But the Crooked Spoon has such potential I will go back and give them a second chance.

Wow! We were out roaming around and found this place was well rated so we figured we’d give it a try. The burgers sounded interesting. We were really surprised at the sweet/savory flavors — amazing! Highly recommend to anyone in the area. Worth an hour drive. We had the coffee/coco crusted burger and the blueberry/Brie burger. Yum, yum, yum! Waiter was also fantastic, made the recommendation about the burgers and knew a lot about the menu. Also very personable.

I’ve heard good things about the Crooked Spoon but never got to visit because I am hardly ever in town, I was finally able to visit a couple weeks ago to celebrate a personal achievement with my sister and I had a good time. Apparently the crooked spoon was previously a food truck that finally got big enough and transitioned into a restaurant. They have daily specials and the menu changes from time to time. This time I ordered the 420 Burger and my sister got the Blueberry Burger. Pro-tip switch your house fries for blue cheese chips. They are AMAZING and only a dollar more. The Blueberry burger was interesting, the sauce they use has blueberry infused in it and gives your burger a sweet but savory taste. Next time I come back I want to try some of the other entrees because they change around so much. Our server came back plenty of times just to talk to us and see how we were doing. The final price came out to around 13 $ minus tip. I will definitely come back!

It sure did take me a long time to get out here. The last time I had a Crooked Spoon meal it was out of the food truck! Happily, my lofty expectations were met on every point. I’m so glad that the spirit and originality of the food truck has survived. I ordered the Cocoa & Coffee Burger, which had a light crust of… well, cocoa and coffee, and a little salt. Just a little touch of bitternes

I’m so glad that the spirit and originality of the food truck has survived. I ordered the Cocoa & Coffee Burger, which had a light crust of… well, cocoa and coffee, and a little salt. Just a little touch of bitterness with the salt and the sweetness from the raspberry chipotle BBQ sauce made for a well rounded and surprisingly intense flavor. I expected it to be good, but I was taken aback by HOW good it was! The fries are very good, as are the homemade chips. There’s a good beer selection. Staff is pleasant and attentive. The only thing wrong is the fact that it’s almost 45 minutes from my house.

Crooked burger … Let me start off by saying that Tuesday night is burger night, which means that their meat burgers –I believe there are 5 or 6 to choose from are all $ 7.00. They come with chips but for an extra dollar you get to have regular fries, I opted for sweet potato fries which tasted pretty good for an extra $ 3.00. The restaurant is located in Claremont, off of highway 27 and citrus tower Blvd, very visible and you can’t miss it. Tuesday looked like a busy night for them since they have their $ 7.00 burgers that night, upon arrival the hostesses were very friendly and we were told that it would be a 35 minute wait time, it ended up being 10 minutes at the most which was pretty nice. Service: I would give our waitress«Dawn» a 5 star rating for her outstanding service, she asked if it was our first time visiting, which it was, and she took plenty time to explain to us the specials and a little background about their menus, how they change them about 3 – 4 times a year, also explained how everything is made fresh in house. As busy as she was, she came to check on our table periodically, making sure the food was great and our drinks were filled up. Food: we started the night off with their chicken nachos, a combination of cubed grilled chicken on top of nachos, mixed in with jalapeños and chipotle queso, it was very delicious and gone very quickly. Burgers were great, we ordered the 420, the blueberry, the Jackson and just an old fashioned cheeseburger for birthday girl, all were cooked to perfection and didn’t hear a single complaint around the table. We finish the night off with a blondie sundae, a nice warm and soft brownie dessert topped with a big scoop of ice cream. Why the 4 stars versus a solid 5: 1. We asked to have our chicken nachos with sauce on the side but it came on it, our waitress noticed it right away as another server was putting into our table and asked to make a new one with sauce in the size. 2. We ordered sweet tea, it wasn’t sweet at all, we asked our waitress to double check if we were served the wrong drink(unsweetened tea) instead and turned out whoever brew the sweet tea didn’t quiet mix it properly. Within 10 minutes we had fresh glasses of sweet tea … Perfect, 3. We ordered an old fashion cheese burger and we are served a plain burger, again, sent back to the kitchen and cheese was added and nicely melted. Overall, service was great and food was a solid 5 star. Definitely recommend, we’ll definitely be back.

Yum! I got the T.A.B.L.E(fried green tomato, avocado, bacon, lettuce and fried egg) yes — it was amazing. My husband and I also split the Kentucky pie(also amazing) They have a lot of daily specials, and their offerings change often, so it’s definitely worth going back often.

Been here 3 times and each time the food and service were 2nd to none, perfect, amazing, make you want to brag to the table next to you that is possibly complaining, drive down the street with a bull horn, take out an ad in the paper, start a website to tell everyone, brag on Unilocal about it!!! Yes all of the above… I will be back again and again…

For being in Claremont this place is pretty good. If it was in Tampa or DC, I give it 3 stars. The good: burger was perfectly medium rare. And it had a great smoky flavor. The brioche bun was delicious and buttery. The charretesori(sp?) platter. The meh: I don’t like potato chips– so my side was wasted. All our kids who DO like chips, didn’t like them. The shrimp and grits had this weird sweet tomato accent. Turns out that while I prefer most things both savory and sweet, shrimp and grits don’t fall into that category. The hummus appetizer, plated beautifully, but the pita chip was rock hard. I prefer a less crunchy pita. The bad: Service was slow. Our drinks sat empty more often then not despite being one of the only guests there for a 2:30 pm lunch. Sat for 15 min trying to catch someone’s eye to bring our check. Also, they put arugula on everything. I don’t care for it, had to pick it out of almost every dish. The entire meal(3 burgers, a shrimp and grits, 2 appetizers, and 3 teas) came out to $ 85 pre-tip. If ever in Claremont, you should try it out.
