I love coming here for picking my own fruit, buying honey and the 4×4 Safari ride is a lot of fun! I always suggest it for visiting friends & family. I also recommend the orange slushy! I’m so happy I love so close :)

I was disappointed because I scheduled an appt for the 2pm tour. I was at the register to check in at 1:58pm which when the staff looked at their time to call to see if he was still there or taken off it was 1:59pm. He took off without notifying them. Since they couldn’t get a hold of him, they said oh well, sorry. If a tour starts at 2pm, it should start at 2pm, not before. I just left and didn’t spend a dime. No customer service what so ever. Will not recommend in my hospitality industry.

This is an excellent adventure we took the tour and saw some neat scenery as well as citrus and animals there’s a neat shop as well with lots of Florida-made merchandise. Definitely worth the drive from Orlando.

Over all quite an interesting place. This place has a lot of potential and needs some sprucing up to live up to all the hype they advertise. The 4×4 truck adventure was mediocre. We expected to travel through more swampy areas and perhaps see more alligators. I understand they are wild but if they won’t harm the cows why not see about getting a family of gators. The tour guide was nice and the facts were interesting. Feeding oranges to the cattle was fun. Not worth $ 25 per person though. The staff was very friendly and the store had a variety of things that were unique to the area. There was a bar that adults could grab a beverage while waiting with unique wine and beer. A play area out back for kids. A small area with animals. You could also pick your own oranges. We didn’t. I give this three starts only because the safari adventure could have been better for the price and if they give the place a little more TLC they could have more guests.

Definitely worth a visit. They have a large selection of items in their shop. We took the tour on the oversized 4×4. Josh, the driver /tour guide kept things interesting. Would recommended doing this if you want a change of pace from the hustle and bustle of Disney.

5 star for the fragrance in the air! I am born and raised here in Florida. Citrus farms have vastly been vanishing in this state. We use to see truck loads upon truck loads of oranges occupying our highways. We sit and watch as groves go dead and get torn out and paved over. They have multiple types of Citrus here, which is great! Variety is the spice of life! I was hoping to find some variety’s of citrus that are not all that common in every store’s shelf. I did not see any Citrus plants for sale here, but they may have been out of season. They have a small farm off to the side. There is a mean turkey, so make sure you go make noses at him and turkey call him back. If you are good at making a turkey call, he might just sing right back at you! I liked their store, it is all open format no a/c but they do have bathrooms. They have fresh orange juice and slushy made from orange juice. Always stop and buy fresh juice. Store brought juice is stored in large tanks for up to a year, then they use artificial flavoring to make the old juice taste good. We did the monster truck tour. Get your tickets on Groupon because $ 25 a person is a hefty fee for this kind of ride. Their monster trucks are converted school bus’s. I could see it right away and thought it was pretty cool. The monster truck ride is not executing like you see on TV monster truck rallies. No jumps, no fast accelerations. But it did drive thought some pretty deep water and a good amount of it. This property is 2,500 acres. That really is a lot. They are adding a U-pick Blue berry farm. We have some of these closer to my home. FL Blue Berry’s are awesome, espelly when they are in season and you can pick them for $ 3 a pound. They also do U-pick citrus are well as commercial production farming where you doing get to pick. I like the nice wine selection in side of the store as well! Dont forget to pick up a bowl of Alligator Chill.

Great place for family fun and information. It’s very informative and a great change of pace from the theme park fun this area is known for. Even if it wasn’t a sun shiny day we took the tour and enjoyed it. Several different animals gathered around our monster bus as we fed them«cow candy». Our tour guide let us empty out both milk crates full of fruits, and the kids enjoyed themselves thoroughly. His sense humor and interaction made for an awesome tour! Pls tip ur guides especially if u had a wonderful time. They have an awesome shop where fruits and sauces and jams line the shelves as well as a kitchen that had a number of samples. from gator chilli to boiled peanuts. A must do… let’s get back to the earth and love what it offers. Kudos we will be back for more of the orange barbecue sauce you guys have. It’s delicious!

This was a good trip. Kids get to drive the monster bus! Plus you feed some of the animals. No gators on our visit but still a good time and some good education for the kids. Overall worth the visit and it helps support your local Farmers.

Yesterday we met our daughter who attends UCF at Showcase of Citrus for a tour and lunch afterward. Our party of 6 thoroughly enjoyed the monster buggy ride. The guide was very informative and entertaining. Even thought I’ve lived in Florida for 30+ years, I learned a little about Central Florida history and agriculture yesterday. I wouldn’t recommend doing the monster truck tour in the summer months as it is just HOT. Yesterday the temperature was in the 80s. It was fairly comfortable but still warm. The store is also a lot of fun. We had fresh samples of numerous fruits. Several family members had slushies which they liked. We didn’t pick any fruit but there were several varieties of oranges and lemons that were ripe for you-picking.

be prepared to get hot and sticky and dirt in your eyes. It’s an interesting tour and the guide we had was pretty funny and kept things lively. However, it was so hot that we wanted to go home. If we didn’t get a groupon, I don’t think we would have gone here but the kids got to see animals and try some slushies so it’s not bad.

My husband and I decided to go somewhere different yesterday, and he found Showcase of Citrus online and it got good reviews, so we said, «what the heck». Made reservations for the 12:00 bus and drove to Clermont. The place is interesting — there are a lot of kitschy elements to look at around the store, lots of honey, jams, syrups, etc. to buy and a small eating area(which we didn’t try). Checked in, got some snacks and sat out back waiting for time to head to the bus. The bus was about 15 minutes late leaving and was only about half full, but we did finally go. Warning, if you get one of the buses, there is NO leg room between the seats. My husband is very tall(6’6″) and had to take over the seat in front of me, sitting sideways just to be comfortable. I’m only 5’6″ tall and I was cramped. Of course, they are old school buses, meant for kids. The«monster buses» could use a lot of work. The seats are falling apart and very uncomfortable. That being said, for the price… what did I expect. The drive through the groves was fun — it was mid-August, so we didn’t expect to see any fruit on the trees(for those other commenters who complained about no fruit — summer is NOT the season). We did see a couple of bulls(one Texas Longhorn and one Watusi) and some Water buffalo, a zebra and a donkey. For people expecting to see a lot of animals close up and personal, this is not a zoo, it is a working farm. The animals are not trained or housed near the roadway, but allowed to roam free. Very touristy and very«old school». Could use some refurbishing, but overall a fun time was had. Just glad we got out before the rains started!

Not great by any means. This place looks like a fruit stand meets garbage dump. Staff is overly eager to help. They stand on top of you when they hear you want something. Also, this place advertises things that aren’t in season. For example, oranges. Honestly, I felt like it was a waste of my time to come here. On the plus side, they have a kitchen which produces ribs, gator snacks, and other foods. BUYERBEWARE, they don’t have everything on their menu. Again, I wouldn’t waste my time and go back. Not worth it.

Disappointing. No fruit. Only 9 animals… Advertised as able to feed… We got to throw 1, I’ll say it again 1 orange to the buffalo. Tour should not be $ 25 each in the off season to see the few animals you have. We were expecting to see a lot more after reading the brochure. Save your $ and go to Lazy 5 for a better animal tour for less $. I read«samples» in others reviews., where??? We were not offered ANY! Best part of the day were the 3 cats that enjoyed our attention.(We miss ours!) On the other hand if fruit were in season and you could pick a piece along the way it would be less of a hit to the wallet, but still not a good value! Tour should be no more than $ 10 for what it is! Just be sure you go during season! August is not the time to visit!(Nov looks to be best time!)

This has to be a hidden gem in all of Florida. My family and I really enjoy this attraction very much. Very different from all the other amusement parks or attractions that are in the areas. Family friendly and great customer service. Come here and spend a half a day or a full day. You and your family would love it!!!

I finally experienced this well hidden secret on New Year’s Day on 2015. I fell in love with this place because there is so much to do here. You can see some farm animals, pick your own fruits like oranges, lemons, black berries, and other different kind of fruits, take a safari ride in the area, shop for great sauces, spices, and other goodies, and also enjoy some real good cooked food. They offer their famous Orange slushies that is being advertised. I tried the creamsicle slushie and it was amazing! You get that fresh orange juice slush with a nice fresh creamy milk mixed in. I also ordered some gator chili to go. I tried it when I got home & it was the best chili I have ever ate in my entire life! I will definitely return again for just the chili. I purchased some BBQ sauce too. It has no MSG, Gluten-free, and other healthy options mixed in. They offer various spices for chicken, fish, ribs, & other types of meat. You can buy some frozen gator meat to take home with you as well. They offer their own orange juice. I din’t make it on the safari tour, but I plan on doing it very soon. I think this is a great place to take your family for a small day out for a nature activity. You can get some great exercise and family bonding time for free since parking is free. You just pay what you pick. You can also feed the farm animals for a small price for food. I gave it 4 stars for now because I didn’t experience all the offerings yet. I think is this is a great place and it’s not far from the top attractions. I would highly recommend this place for something to experience.

Showcase of Citrus is a great attraction to take family and friends from out of town. It may be a little out of the way if you live on the East side of town, but it is not too far from the theme parks. Whether you are a local or a tourist this place is worth a visit. They are open 365 days a week and open at 8am. There is a nice farm shop out front filled with things from honey to hot sauces. Be sure to try a sample of their homemade tangerine or orange slush! Admittance into the groves is free, just grab some empty bags, a cart, and be off on your way into the groves. They have many different options based on the season, such as red navel oranges, yellow navel oranges, pomelos, tangerines, kumquats, lemons, limes, etc etc. There is a guide and map on the bag so you will know where you are going and what you’re picking. If you can, come in the morning before 11am to avoid the crowds, it does get busy. Wear closed toe shoes to avoid dirty feet and ant bites. Enjoy!

Showcase of Citrus is one of the best kept secrets in the Orlando area. I discovered them while planning our trip, and looking for discounts on Groupon.(They seem to rotate between offering deals on Groupon & Amazon Local.) The deal we purchased was $ 62 for 4 eco-safari monster truck tour tickets, and a $ 20 food voucher. This is not some manufactured, air conditioned, farce of a farm. Showcase of Citrus is a working farm. There is dirt, rain, dust, animals, uneven walkways and walking. Weather will be a factor in the offerings of the day. The authenticity adds to the charm. According to our tour guide, 5% of the fruit than Florida’s Natural juice uses comes from this farm. They have various verities of citrus,(and other fruit,) so no matter what time of the year you go something will be in season. The tour & tour guide that I mentioned was great! Our tour guide was really funny. He told us that if we spotted certain creatures he would jump out of the monster truck and try to capture them. He didn’t disappoint; jumping out of the truck to catch a banana spider. He then told us all about them. Never was there a dull moment during the tour. Educational yet fun would be how I would describe it. We also got to throw oranges to water buffalo. Cows, horses, and a zebra were also seen.(There was an alligator in the lake that is not part of the tour.) A particular highlight was when my son got to drive the monster truck. The fruit stand/country store was a mix of old-time store and quirky humor. While the voucher we received was for $ 20 in food, they do not sell meals. The deal may be applied to non fresh fruit and fresh juices. They have tons of hot sauces, Jellies, other sauces, soda, candy and jerky to choose from. They also had 4 types of honey harvested from their farm. It is raw and delicious. We purchased 1 honey, 2 bags of feed for the animals, candy, 2 drinks and some jerky with our voucher. On top of than we also purchased a fresh peach and a fresh key lime slushy. They also have an assortment of kitschy items and souvenirs. The peach slushy was very sweet, while the key lime was nice and tart. I preferred the key lime one myself. Behind the farm stand/store there is covered seating, as well as a playground for kids to play. While the kids played we rested in the shade with out slushies. After playing, we walked over to feed the barn animals. $ 2.00 for a paper lunch bag filled 2⁄3 of the way with feed was very reasonable. The kids spent about 30 min. feeding the animals.(This is not a petting zoo. The animals may be fed threw a chicken wire style fence.) Off to one side was a giant checker board. My kids had fun learning how to play. While we didn’t pick anything, there is a u-pick section of the farm. All told, Showcase of Citrus was 3 hours of fun. We would have stayed longer, but we were getting hungry and decided to go have lunch. If the store had sandwiches or some other lunch option we would have stayed much longer.
