Epic Cycles

Epic Cycle is a prime example of what a local bike shop should be! From the moment I walked in the door I had Roman’s undivided attention and he was willing to help in whatever way possible. I spent over an hour with Roman the first visit talking about my needs in my new road bike. He didn’t try to just put me on any bike and get me out the door, like many other shops in the area had tried to do. Rather he spoke to me about different advantages and disadvantages of certain bikes and different components of the bikes in detail. Roman knows his stuff! He asked what my budget was and made sure to stay in that range, rather than offer me bikes almost twice that which often happened elsewhere. Epic Cycles was my last stop in my search for a new bike and I am certainly glad I stopped in. Roman’s helpfulness, professionalism and knowledge helped make this decision very easy. Thank you, Epic Cycles for making my decision much easier.

Been visiting this shop since they opened across highway 27 in 2008. Now they are moving to downtown lakefront Clermont on the South Lake Trail this Fall, for which I can’t wait! Super knowledgeable guys that keep me rolling. High end international brand bikes, only wish they carried a high end domestic, Specialized S-​Works for example. Won’t hold that against them because they carry great accessories. They’re expert Campagnolo mechanics too. Great Sunday group rides that traverse the hills of Lake County. Once downtown, they’ll certainly continue to be the number one shop in Clermont. Future is bright for this business.

Pretty cool bike shop with some (excellent) rare brands! Think of Ferrari’s and Lamborghini’s. The staff is helpful and willing to work on prices. I bought a pair of Zipp 404 carbon clinchers at a price I couldn’t afford to pass up.
On the weekends, Epic Cycles throws down awesome group rides through out the hills of Clermont. If you want a challenge, ride with the Group A guys. Just bring a fresh pair of legs and get ready for a hurting!
I always recommend them to everyone and anyone. Truly a hidden gem in the hills of Clermont.

I dont get the hype. All my friends talk this bike shop up but I’m not a fan.
So I visited this store twice. First time was to buy a few retail items. Went in for some gels and chamois cream. Only had one brand of each. Neither of which work for me. Left without purchasing.
Visit 2, I had a tool break on me while trying to perform some maintanace, so I brought the bike by. They refused to work on it saying that my frame was not one of the brands they deal in. I have never heard this before in my years of cycling. I didn’t even want anything done to my frame!!! Even more surprising, the fact that he suggested the bike would be their liability due to the frame being a brand they do not deal in is quite outlandish. I needed work done to my dérailleur and chain. Neither of which require frame manipulation.
Confused and frustrated, I went to another bike shop less than a mile away and they even gave me 5 dollars off my repair bill for the troubles I was having with Epic.
So, take this review for what you will, but I am not returning to this shop, nor can I recommend it for such illogical and outlandish practices, and have my doubts about their sustainability.
I found the manager there to be kinda introverted and not really a customer service type of person, too.
