My family and I visited for my birthday last October. We all ordered the steak because– why not! Let me say the steak came and was not even tender– it was tough. In fact, it seemed like the entirely wrong cut of meat– I felt like I was cutting through a roast. We asked our waitress if we could talk to the manager and told her that the steak was tough. They refused to have the manager come out, and insisted that they cut their own meat in house and were certain the steak was prepared properly. We literally ate one bite of our steaks, paid and left. It was«kind» of the manager to give us 10% off our meal since it wasn’t satisfactory.(Although that manager never came out to look at the steak or talk to us) Needless to say I will NEVER eat here again, because of the quality of food and the way the staff treated us. Our waitress was nice however the steak was absolutely terrible, and they did nothing to reconcile the circumstance. I have spread the word to friends and family about the unsatisfactory customer service at this restaurant and have also heard complaints from others stating similar circumstances. It is unfortunate that my husband and I spent $ 70 on a meal that was unsatisfactory,(and thrown away without acknowledgement of the chef or manager), however our family has laughed about it ever since. We spent about $ 350 at our table… And it was all left! If you want a great steak, the next birthday celebration was at the Blue Heron and their steak is excellent!

Seasons prepares a very good shrimp and grits. They have a good wine list to chose from. It is away from the student crowd, so the place is always quiet when I have been there.

Great food! attentive staff Lots of options on the menu. The Statler Chicken was delicious with the white asparagus. Shrimp and grits are too notch. Not to mention many things on the me u are organic and you can taste the difference. The chicken is also free range and no hormones. I would definitely eat here again! Gorgeous view of the lake.

Seasons has a very nice menu — the selections are limited but there’s enough variety for everyone to find something good. The wait staff is excellent. I enjoyed the pork chop dinner I selected, which was well prepared and well presented. My wife had the shrimp and grits which she enjoyed as well. However, the two larger shrimp that were prominently presented had not been de-veined in the kitchen so she had to clean them at the table. The manager made his rounds and we pointed out the shrimp veins on the edge of my wife’s plate. The manager’s response was astonishing — in a flat voice he said they had missed a couple of veins. Period. No apology, no indication that he would let the kitchen know. Nothing. The manager’s cavalier attitude toward the issue is the reason for the two star rating. Otherwise the rating would have been four stars. I certainly have misgivings about a return visit.

Ate there mid-week. Service, atmosphere and food were superb. Pork chops and shrimp and grits were especially good. Accompanying vegetables were well prepared and tasty. We will be back!

Seasons by the Lake on Thursday, 12/20, at 11am — reservations made for 12. We arrived on-time and were seated immediately. We were seated at three separate tables next to each other. The restaurant was empty so we asked if we could be seated at one of the long tables nearby but we were told that all tables were reserved. Not a big issue. Our waitress was sweet and attentive. Took our drink orders and gave us the go-ahead to head to the buffet. We were the first party to start and had fresh selections including a mixed-greens salad, homestyle mac & cheese, ham carving station, stuffed shells, green bean casserole, pork scallopini, and two soups — lentil and corn chowder. I know I’m missing a few things but those were the highlights. Everything on my plate tasted great and there were no complaints from anyone in the party. Dessert options were all wonderful! Peanut butter pie, peach cobbler, chocolate cake. everyone was happy. I wavered between 3 and 4 stars on this review… the options were limited overall but the quality of available items made up for it. 4 stars was solidified when the bill came. The buffet was $ 10 per person. maybe I’ve been in a city too long, but I was shocked. And then I saw it was $ 3 for a mimosa. Love.

I will begin by stating that the food is better than average. I only got a salad and due to a heavy lunch my family and I had a light dinner and did not enjoy the luxury of proper meat. In addition, the atmosphere is almost too much. There is a view of Heartwell Lake and is located in close proximity to the 18th hole of the Walker Golf Course at Clemson University. At that note, I award this delightful restaurant four stars due to great service, exceptional food, and a day pleasing atmosphere.

One word: awful food. Nothing tasted good, not even the salad. I swear my hubby’s veggies were right from a can. Not worth the money…

Had a dinner out on the Harris Terrace provided by the restaurant that filled the bill pretty well. I can’t say I was totally bowled over by the food, but it was definitely pretty good. The weather was absolutely incredible, and the view out over the lake was just awesome. Had a great time!
