We had a great meal! Corey is a great waiter, and accommodated our large group with bountiful grace and kindness.

This place isn’t that great. just okay. The bread didn’t seem all that fresh, and didn’t come out hot. The pasta wasn’t amazing, and the bolognese sauce was just okay. Try it. maybe it will be better for you; or maybe it won’t.

delicious bruschetta, ravioli and starter bread! the staff were plenty friendly although it took a little long for our food to be served. The chicken Parmesan wasn’t the best I’ve ever had, but definitely not a waste of money either. Would recommend if you’re in Clemson craving Italian.

Brioso is the best place Clemson has for Italian… Kind of sad to think coming from the northeast where local Italian restaurants are everywhere. Through my time in Clemson I’ve been here easily 10 – 20 times. Depending on the visit it can really range from 2 – 5 stars. Had to go with a personal average though. So some general pros and cons. Starting with pros: great midweek dinner specials, free bread and olive oil, food is occasionally good. Cons: slow service, bread isn’t very fresh and served cold, food is occasionally bad. Going in during midweek for dinner could be a great choice. I just wish Brioso could really win me over.

I ordered the carne pizza. It was very average as far as pizza goes. But when you have to wait over an hour for your food, never get checked up for drink/bread refills, and get told by a waiter that there is only 1 cook making the food for the ~50 people in the restaurant, you just have to laugh and avoid the place in the future.

We have had nice experiences at Brioso before, but tonight’s meal was utter crap. We decided to order for take out for the first time. Their website did not work, so we called in. We ordered a pizza primavera with no mushrooms nor olives. What we got was a pizza so small it wouldn’t fill up a toddler, and covered in mushrooms. At least they got the olive thing right… We also ordered caprese salad and pasta arrabbiata with chicken. The caprese came with 2 small slices of tomato and three thin pieces of mozzarella for $ 7… I am not joking they literally only put 2 pieces of tomato in the dish. Who does that?! The pasta tasted like they took their tomato sauce and added water to thin it out and then put it on the pasta. The chicken wasn’t even worth discussing, nastiest thing ever. We literally had to open up our own bottle of pasta sauce to put on the pasta, but even then it was just so bad we threw it away. In the end we paid $ 36 for a tiny pizza with the wrong toppings, caprese with two pieces of tomato, and then water pasta with chicken that tasted worse than what I got at my elementary school cafeteria. No clue what happened to Brioso, as I was generally a fan. They lost two customers here for sure…

I have been there a few times since we moved to Clemson and we like it. Fresh pasta is always good.

Came to eat Valentine’s Day dinner with my hubby tonight and overall the service was alright. I must say they were extremely packed. This is our favorite pasta place so we expected business. On a day when it is not packed. Service is amazing. And by service, I mean service. Love this place.

Why do we keep going back? Seriously, why? Each time we think that we will get something a little more exotic than Chef Boy Ardee; doesn’t happen. Hint, bruschetta is supposed to be served on toasted bread. Hint 2, it is permissible to serve more than 2 tbs of Bolognese sauce on a pile of pasta. Hint 3, appetizers should come out more than 30 seconds before the entrees. Don’t we deserve a good Italian meal in this town?

I don’t understand their business model. Instead of being seated first then having our order taken you have to stand in line to place your entire order. This doesn’t work well for the elderly. There is not much room for the line so invariably people have to stand outside. It makes the business look desirable but at the cost of customers standing outside in the cold. Not super cold but a brisk fall evening. When we got to the front of the line the staff said we would need to wait a few minutes. When we finally were able to go to our table there were at least 4 dirty tables. My guess is they have the set up to save money and yet there seemed to be plenty of staff. Our food was just okay. This place seems to have potential but it hasn’t found it yet.

There was one person running one register so we waited forever to order. Then, they brought us a Pinot Grigio instead off the Pinot nior that we ordered. They fixed that. Then one of our pastas had the wrong sauce and the soup was served stone cold. We told the waitress and she apologized. She was the only server in the whole place on a Thursday of the game day weekend. We should have been reimbursed for our cold soup but nothing. Service is bad. The food that was correct was good but oh my! They need more people.

This delightful pasta joint in downtown Clemson, S.C. serves up fresh ravioli and delicious sauces with efficient service in a casual, family-friendly atmosphere. It could use a better beer menu, but otherwise, this is one of the best lunch spots to be found in this charming little college town.

Went with a group here on business and wanted something casual and good. This place hits the spot. A little different to order at the front — we sat down to look at the menu — then went back up to order. The service was very good and the pasta was fresh. Everyone said they enjoyed what they got — Chicken Marsella, pizza, salad, several different pastas. Also stayed within our expense account limits. Win — Win — Win

I used to frequent this place when they had a Columbia location so I was glad to see Clemson still had one that existed. I like the fresh-made pasta, specifically the tagliatelli, but I’d recommend one of the red sauces as the cream ones are a little bland for me. Make sure you try the olive oil with ground pepper to dip your bread in. The deep fried mozzarella appetizer is also on point. For dessert, you must try the Italian cream cake. Happiness explosion in your mouth. The piece you’ll get is sharing size and you’ll love the nuttiness combined with cream cheese. Be prepared to order(and tip) as soon as you enter, instead of gettinga menu at your table.

In Clemson = 4 Stars. In a Large City = 2 Stars. I remember coming here for dinner many times with my friends and roommates. It was an oasis from all the fried crap and sports bars. Easily one of the best options in Clemson. The pasta is made from scratch. The sauces are essentially made to order. The salads are rather tasty but a little sloppy. The beer is cheap… but that’s just Clemson for you. The service is usually pretty crappy… but ess OK. Beggars can’t be choosers. Tip: Order at the counter, get your pepper mill and find a seat. Pro Tip: Sit at the bar and get faster service without having to preorder your food.

So, I walk in with CGSA, a student group, to try out the pasta here at Brioso. Since it was suppertime, I had decided to order a ricotta and spinach ravioli and a tiramisu. Before that, however, I was able to try out other a BBQ chicken flatbread pizza, and it was very good. That BBQ sauce was perfect on that pizza. Okay, onto the ravioli. The ravioli was very good and well-textured, and the«sauce»(the sorrentina sauce) complimented it pretty well, though the olive oil kinda separated from the rest of the dish. I still, however, can’t believe that the sauce is charged separately from the pasta.($ 5.00 pasta, $ 4.00 sauce). I didn’t *have* to order sauce, but they kinda recommended that I do. The Tiramisu(my first one, mind you) was actually pretty good. Ladyfingers layered on some sort of cream and sprinkled with espresso powder. I can’t really say that it is much to write home about, but filled the spot quite nicely. The only reason that this place didn’t get a 5: I constantly has to ask the staff for utensils, such as a straw and a fork, but that didn’t really spoil my experience here. I’ll be definitely coming back here and, maybe, be able try out the pizza margherita.

Hungry after a long day of hiking and driving thru 3 states, we decided to check out Brioso. I was surprised how busy it was at 9:30, but was later told that it’s move in week at Clemson. I had the side Brioso salad, which was very tasty. They also brought out some French bread, which would had been better if it was warm. My main dish, southwest pasta, was one of the daily specials. The amount was huge! It had just enough spice and also had a good amount of chicken, as well as grilled onions and peppers. The chipotle cream sauce was tasty as well. I ate every bite and was stuffed. Service was really good and fast, even with the large crowd.
