Harper’s Pub & Restaurant

Was just here Saturday for lunch with my fiancé. We have been here before with friends for a night out and there is always fun staff that work there. we ordered the mini panazorottis as an appetizer and they were by far my favorite mini panazorottis around. I ordered the ranchero burger with everything on it but the sauce and jalapeños on the side. Server was really nice I asked her if the sauce was spicy she said it had a little kick to it then offered me to also put the jalapeños on the side. Sauce was awesome wish I would’ve gotten it on the burger, but it was still good by me dipping it in the sauce as well. My fiancé ordered the buffalo bites, but with there hot and honey sauce… Which is amazingggg almost as good as PJ’s hot and honey sauce. They had a burger special that day a burger and beer for 10 $ I got the burger and my fiancé got the beer since I do not drink beer. I thought that was an awesome deal for those items. I will definitely be back for some buffalo bites and mini panazorottis that is for sure!

Good food, nice beer selection, nice staff, and prices are in line. It’s a nice pub for the area. You can normally catch the games here while enjoying a meal and a drink. If you stop over… look on the menu for something that is a deep fried burrito with turkey and mashed potatoes. It’s interesting and… filling

They really have cleaned up their act. Craft beer menu is amazing and they have a new and improved food menu. Had a great spicy burger with homemade chips. Nothing was greasy at all. Waitress was attentive and friendly. Couldn’t get a seat at the bar but service at table was great!

Horrible night at Harpers. Service was slow and inattentive. We were there for all you can eat crab legs and were given one cluster (at best, most were missing a leg) at a time. We were forced to order any kind of drink to be «allowed» to have the crab dinner, even though it DOES NOT say that anywhere with their advertisements. For $ 27.99 and almost three hours of my time. I shouldn’t be leaving hungry.
NEVER AGAIN HARPERS

Called two days ago about there all you can eat crabs, the man says, dungeness crab 24.95.great we will be there! Get there, snow crab at 27.99.we ate off of newspaper and the girls bathroom had puke in the sink that they did nothing about. crabs where good, but then they put a 20% gratuity on the bill! We weren’t eating at Ruth Chris steak house !!

Another wonderful time at Harpers. Can’t say enough about this pub!!! Well worth the visit

Pretty dirty and smelly inside. Glasses are dirty with water marks and who knows what else. Unless I’m forced do so, I wouldn’t come back here.

Great specials. Has live entertainment. Parking lot is very small. Have to find parking else where. Foods pretty good. Overall definitely a good bar

Not a bad place to go and hang out. I am a regular here. Bar tenders are personable, they are great. The only thing I dislike is the parking, but that’s minor.

BEERS! This place keeps a evolving beer menu on the wall and the staff is friendly. I think this place is a pretty good little secrete that we must keep to ourselves. More women than men so that is always good. Its a mixture of ages and is a place you could bring a date and have a drink. Meet the people around you. Real good hot wings at a good price.

We went there on a Groupon. I will say that the food was good and plentiful. The bartender was knowledgeable and very helpful. That’s where the good stuff ends! The service was HORRIBLE! I have never had such a dense server! She was a nice person, though. We had a Groupon for a beer tasting for four people. The server insisted it was only for two people because it was only one piece of paper! That should have been our cue to leave! The bartender finally got her to understand that it was for four people. From the ordering of the beer samples to the ordering of dinner, it was an excruciatingly painful process with many explanations and mistakes. To top it all off, they only had five of the tasting glasses and we were getting a total of 16 tastings. The bartender offered to give us our tastings in rocks glasses which we were all fine with; but, our server could not understand that and insisted on not giving us another sample until we turned a glass in. It got so ridiculous that I got a serious case of the giggles. We could not wait to leave. It was by far the worst dining experience I have ever had and I will never go there again.

One of the area’s best kept secrets. Irish pub with food and a staff that outdoes themselves every single night. Wonderful small bar atmosphere with great live music. The head bartender knows her stuff and is simply a joy.

I was never that big of a fan of Harper’s, but it seems to have gone even further downhill after the change of ownership/​management/​whatever. It is a pretty cheap bar, and there are pretty much always specials going on for beer. It’s a bit of a dive, and not in a good way. At least in the past it had some personality, now it seems like it doesn’t offer anything that other bars in the area offer just as well. Unless you live within walking distance there really no reason to go there. (although it is better than J. Walker’s, which is around the corner)

Great selection of beer better than bar food … And all u can eat Dungeness crabs on wednesday for 25 $ are u kidding what could make this place better — how bout being the home of your Jersey Devil Beard Team … Oh yeah that might make this the coolest place on earth

I think this place is the best irish bar in South jersey. I actually can’t think of another real one in South jersey, and their beer selection has expanded considerably over the years, so maybe they aren’t even really an irish Bar anymore. That’s fine They have a good jukebox now and they use to have live Irish music and rugby teams come in there all the time. I’ve always like the atmosphere here. It’s one of the few bars around here I feel like a woman could go to alone and feel comfortable.
This is one of the few places in South jersey with a great beer selection. The only other one I can think of now is Cork in Westmont. If anyone knows anymore, please tell. me.

At one time in my life while living in the Southern New Jersey area, this small town pub became my home away from home. It was our neighborhood «Cheers» so to say, where everyone knew your name and the ups and downs in your current life. Where you could gather with a group of friends for a few rounds of drinks and some competitive rounds of pool without fighting off large crowds, drunken assholes (that you didn’t come with) or the nauseous feelings of seeing your tab after the night was through. It was a small pub with low prices and great people. Harpers has since changed management and the staff is no longer the same nor is the clientele, but every time I remember this place I get a little homesick for those nights spent here, the ones I remember and even more the ones I can’t.
