The parent child swim lessons are awful. We can only go one day a week. We signed up for the Saturday class. I take both of my children age 1 and 2. We have done the same activity every class. No switching it up, the same exact few things. There was a girl teaching it who was very outgoing and fun. Now a young guy took over who barely talks and when he does it is very quiet. He lacks confidence. He also teaches the adult class before ours that my mother is in. She said the same thing. I’m very disappointment in the class. I wish I would have saved the $ 120 total and put it towards better lessons. My older toddler did the free week of lessons and they were much better. The classes are also canceled frequently because of the weather. It is an indoor pool. I’m not sure if it is because of the garage door type windows.

The people are friendly and there are great group fitness options, however, the equipment is OLD and the gym is small. The stairsteppers was probably the first ones ever created. Some of the treadmills are outdated and its just a small old gym. Theres a nice pool and the staff is friendly but just like the small gym, the parking lot is small. It’s nothing to have to park on the side of the building in the dirt on weekdays when its super crowed.

This gym is great all around. I knew from the very first day that I took a tour I would like this gym. They have great customer service skills and there is always someone who can help answer any of your questions. This place is everything I want in a gym. They have a whole floor of machines, a wall of weights, private rooms for classes, a paved track for running, swimming pool with lanes, football/soccer field, daycare center for children, summer programs for children, basketball court, amazing locker rooms. Women’s locker room has a private sauna, steam room, shower room, and hot tub and so does the men’s I’m told. The list really goes on. I highly recommend this gym/fitness center to everyone. At least come in for a tour! They even have programs to offer for financial assistance to family’s or people who need help with membership fees.

After a long time searching for gym. We found this place that is only 10 minutes for our house that a friend had referred us too. After going to the gym and receiving a tour of what they had to offer I was throughly impressed with their equipment. They offer various classes(spinning, Abs, Zumba, Les Mills Body-pump) and many more for no additional charges other then the monthly fee. They have a large locker room for men that has a sauna, and a steam room along with showers. The weight room is huge compared to other gyms in the area. Which is a plus for me, lots of benches, smith machines I would say 20 treadmills elliptical, and various resistance machines. Staff walk around the weight room to assist with any questions and do not bother you. They have a pool and various rooms, for the different classes they offer, and a large basketball court. I personally do the Ab, High intensity circuit training classes and my wife does the Zumba regularly. Also a daycare is offered! I have toured and visited many gyms in the area such as Get Fitness, 24⁄7 fitness and this gym trumps them all! No hassle about signing up when you your and do not worry about pushy sales people throughout! If you are looking for the gym to get in shape come check out the YMCA! A lot cheaper then the other places as well. $ 36 a month with a one-time $ 50 activation fee. However with this price you can go to any of the Y’s in the Tampa Bay Area!

The last year of my life was filled with moving twice. Now that I’m finally settled in, I embarked on my quest for a new gym. I made visits to several gyms in the area before settling here, at the YMCA. Why this gym? Well, allow me to elaborate. Atmosphere: they have it all, free weights, nautilus machines, treadmills, Olympic pool, hot tub, basketball court, racquetball courts, a track, a playground, and daycare for kids. The price? For a single member, it’s ten dollars more a month than those places down the street, but you get sooooo much more. Plus, no contract. It’s actually cheaper than those places down the street if you were to try and go month to month with them. No contract, you just need to give them 30 days notice if you want to cancel. This place has it all. If you’re looking for a gym, I recommend taking a tour, and they’ll give you a couple free passes so you can really check out all they have to offer.

The Kid Care Team really interacts with the kids that they don’t even want to get lost in the playground equipment! They were playing dodgeball with the kids trying to throw the balls at the adult and another time the kids were all busy bouncing balloons. Great team, keep up the good work! :)

I was a visiting guest. First the lady at the front desk had no idea what she was doing. She proceeded to tell me to fill out her portion of a form and then proceeded to call me a femine name when I look nothing remotely close to a woman, nor does my license have a name close to a girls’ name on it. Second, there is their indoor pool. Not only is it only 25 yards long, but it closes when lightening is outside(I was told the pump is outside and can be struck). This is fine, but apparently it’s been this way for decades which left me wondering what do they do with their member dues? Personally, I’ve never heard of an indoor pool having a pump that lightening can hit leading to them ultimately closing it for safety; seems to destroy the whole concept of an indoor pool. Add the fact you’re in the lightening capital of the country, I’d just find a place that has better facilities, and a competent staff, but that’s just me.

Great Location and staff. Plenty of classes and events. Clean with the only proper steam room in town. I love this place and go almost everyday for a great workout, swim, shave, shower etc…

As an update to my previous review, the YMCA has replaced their vending machines. I have not had any issues lately. It’s a great place to work out! All of the staff is super nice and I really appreciate the people in the kids area.
