Best Thai I’ve had in a while! The yellow curry is divine, the sushi my wife had was also excellent. Our friends got the red curry, also a winner! We loved it and will be back often. Just don’t order the chicken toast appetizer (only thing we thought was mediocre).

This is a great little family run Thai restaurant. We have never dined at the restaurant but my wife and I order take out quite often here. Very consistent and tasty food. We usually get the chicken red curry and pad Thai. Both are sooo good.

It’s rare to find a Thai and Sushi restaurant that serves both outstanding Thai and Sushi. Everything we ordered was delicious. This was the first restaurant we visited on our vacation. We have been here twice and thinking about a third visit. Service was prompt and the food was satisfying. When we return to Seattle I will definitely miss the sunomono and tuna tataki. They also make the best red curry. And don’t forget to order a sashimi platter. Yum.

We started with the fresh rolls which were very good, but a little heavy on the lettuce. Hubby got the cashew chicken and I ordered the chicken pineapple fried rice. The were both good individually, but when we combined his veggies with my rice, it was great.

Last night we went to Wung Thai for sushi and it was an amazing experience! We ordered the Crab Ragoon appetizer which was delicious and made with real crab. We also ordered the Wung Thai roll and sushi boat, it had 5 rolls on it. Everything looked and tasted amazing! They are kind of tucked back on Roosevelt in a shopping plaza so unless you know where it is you may miss it. They are normally busy during lunch but not as much for dinner as it is surrounded by mostly daytime businesses. If you are looking for great sushi or Thai food with out having to wait for a table I highly suggest checking Wung Thai out especially before the word gets out and they get busier.

A New Faaaantastic Thai Restaurant in Clearwater!
I am a true connoisseur when it comes to ethnic food, however, Thai food has a special place in my heart, stomach, and in my ever discriminating palate.
This time I’d like to share with you my latest Thai food discovery — Wung Thai Restaurant, centrally located in Pinellas county at: 5545 Roosevelt Blvd, Clearwater, FL 33 760.
Although this restaurant is brand new in this area, the four managing partners are all from Thailand and know good Thai food first hand!
Whanita, who goes by Whan, works the front, and not only that she is exceptional when it comes to service, but she is also very knowledgable about their menu, and is eager to explain and recommend their authentic specialties.
On our first lunch visit to Wung Thai we had ordered three different dishes to try and I must say, that we were all delightfully pleased with our selections! The food arrived quickly, the soup was excellent, and all the food was savory, perfectly spiced, and freshly prepared! Furthermore, I was absolutely delighted to learn that the Tofu in my Pad Thai was GMO-​Free!!! I hope that in the future they will continue adding organic ingredients to their delusions menus, and further differentiate themselves from the rest!
I always scout Thai food and sample new restaurants on a regular basis. I must say, I am thrilled to have Wung Thai as our latest and greatest addition to our thriving ethnic cuisine selection in the Tampa Bay Area!

Came in for a quick lunch and had fast service unlike some other reviewers. I ordered the spicy noodle with shrimp (medium). The portion size was pretty decent but I found the dish to have an odd sweetness to it. The waitresses came by a few times to make sure I was ok and refilled my water before it was emptied, overall service was good.

Our flight was delayed so we left the St. Petersburg airport STARVING. Per the suggestion of other Unilocal reviewers we decided on this nearby option. The lunch hours are over at 3 and we showed up at 245, but they were very accomodating and kind about it. (As a former waitress, I was dying a little on the inside.)
I ordered the lunch pad thai with tofu and my bf got panang curry. Both lunch entrees came with a small spring roll and cup of broth. Spring roll was hot but average at best. The broth with rice was surprisingly flavorful, salty and hit the spot. The pad thai was on point. Great flavor. The noodles were a little gummy but it was really good. The panang curry was a little sweet, but good.
I should note that if you are looking for a quick meal, we finished eating and paid by 320. The food came so quickly.

Very good food. My favorites are the pad woon sen and pineapple fried rice. If you say you want ‘Thai Hot’ for the spice level you’ll actually get it!
Portions are reasonable. Service depends on the server. Lunch is a good value and served with soup and spring roll. The owner is a sweetheart.

Very quaint place to dine. Staff is awesome and very friendly and accommodating. The chicken with «Amazing» sauce is very good, as is the Pad Thai (I get it with Woon Sen personally, they have no problem substituting it at no cost.) My only gripe is I tend to see what appear to be friends just running around thru out the cooking/​prep area which is a bit unprofessional.

I’ve never actually sat inside to eat but I get To-​go food all the time usually after I workout. I always make an effort to try a different menu item each time I order and I’ve never been disappointed. Everything tastes fresh and delicious and is reasonably priced. The food is always ready quickly as well. If you’re hungry and in the area definitely try this place out. You won’t regret it

I went there today for lunch and waited 5 min for seating and 40 minutes later I had to leave because my lunch hour was over. what a joke they didn’t even say sorry. The chef kept coming out and giving the food to the wrong table then asking them what they ordered.

This place is conveniently located next to my work, so decided to take the walk over for lunch. I ordered the chicken pad Thai and it was pretty good. The waiter offered to bring out the different options of chili sauces, which I really appreciated. Service was great, considering I was on a time crunch.
I came back here today and tried the chicken panang curry. It was a little slower to get the food this time around, but I expected that since I ordered curry instead of pad thai. I’ve had panang curry that had an overwhelming peanut taste, fortunately this place made it with a great balance of flavors. A subtle peanut taste with enough crunch to it, while having enough kick to it to wake you up. At first I didn’t think the rice they served would be enough and was tempted to order extra. I’m glad I didn’t because it was enough to fill me up without giving me regrets. I would also like to add on that the waiter noticed my co-worker’s cough and suggested him hot water, which shows their attentiveness.
I’ve yet to be disappointed with their food and service. Highly recommended!

This place has great food. I really enjoy the chicken amazing. While I’m not familiar with any of the other items on the menu, I know that the chicken amazing and the dumplings are great. The service is sometimes a little slow, but that is due to the amount of people in the restaurant.
The food always seems fresh, the prices are reasonable and the owners are always hospitable. Check this place out if you’re in the area, you won’t be disappointed.

Food tasted good and people were very nice! I always have to try the staple pad thai when I try new Thai restaurants so I ordered it for pickup! Taste was good, just felt like the noodles were a bit oily and heavier compared to other places! Had an average amount of meat and flavor!
