BEWARE the $ 2 bump charge per drink if you order on the rocks. The fee, I was told, is for the extra pour they give when you order on the rocks. The bar staff neglected to tell me when i ordered. That brought the charge up to $ 9.50 per drink and it wasn’t top shelf stuff. I feel I should have been told when I placed my first drink order about the bump fee and let me decide of I want the extra pour.

Came here on a $ 1 drink nite. Have to agree with others that this is what it is… a cheap dive bar. We were a party of 4 and didnt order $ 1 drinks. We were overcharged every time and drinks were horrible! Horrible atmosphere, no seats at the bar. No designated dance floor. High dollar pool. Nothing really to do here. Dress code was a joke. This is definitely a bar for 20 somethings. We’ll never be back. We spent well over $ 150 for the 2 hours that we were there.

Not a bad spot to grab a drink and meet up with friends. It gets way too crowded in here on $ 1 drink night and personally I stay away from cheap liquor anyway(not worth the headache the next day) but besides that this place isn’t bad. It’s pretty big and they have a couple pool tables. The outdoor patio is nice and plenty of seating. Service is usually quick except on Wednesday when they’re so busy. Not my favorite place but not bad overall

The Hideaway is an interesting bar tucked away in a shopping plaza off of McMullen Booth Road in Clearwater. Great vibe and DJ, but a very young crowd. I looked on FB and noticed that the night we stopped in was the night of their Bi-weekly BEER-B-QUE. During this event, they offer free food and $ 1 drinks. Ahhh… that explains the age of the crowd… I loved the interior which was sleek and dark. There were plenty of TVs to watch the hockey game. The bartenders on duty were efficient and constantly hustling. They weren’t too friendly but the bar was busy and there was no time for chitchat. They advertise live music which I wouldn’t mind checking out sometime. Would I drive the drive from Tampa to make a special trip? Most likely not, but if I am in the neighborhood, I would stop in this bar again.

I have so many issues with this place. What brought me in was them advertising«craft beer.» I was excited, the place always looks packed and they have craft beer! I sat down outside at the bar and waiting. And waited. And waited. I kept trying to wave down the bartender but they just didn’t care. Finally someone came over and I had some questions about their craft beer as the chalk board that displayed the beers some of them were hard to read. I just got a «i dont know…» Ok whatever, so I settled for something I could read. Talk about taking forever to get my drink! The inside was packed but the one bartender kept flirting with some over intoxicated gentlmen. I mean he probably should of been cut off, he was wobbling, could barely talk and they kept bringing him shots and beer. Oh well, I came here to drink so I’ll just order another one. I try to wave down the bartender that helped me and she won’t stop talking to this over intoxicated guy. Its packed and she’s ignoring everyone. I tried to wave down another bartender and she smiled at me and went the opposite direction. So I figured alright, screw this. I’ll just go somewhere else. I kid you not, just to get my check took 15minutes! Let’s be honest, this is a dive bar. If you are young, in college and want to get trashed to crappy loud music and horrible bartenders, this would be your place. If you want a good selection of craft beer and want to enjoy it, skip this place.

Love the look of this place, but hate the outdoor layout. Too narrow and too many people. Seems the majority of their crowd are smokers because hardly anyone was inside, despite the good live music and spacious dance area. Perhaps they should make it a smoking bar? Décor was really nice, almost SoHo-esq. Saw Adam O. working there(of The Slug fame) and he’s one of the best bartenders the bay area has to offer up, so that was cool. They have 2 pool tables that were a little too close to each other, and since the interior was sparsely populated, they could probably space them about a bit. They also had some darts action going. Nice long bar that serves the inside folks as well as those outside. I’m not over in this area much, so chances are I won’t return, but only because of it’s geographical location. It’s a nice place.

Nice bar. They have good bands, an outside seating area, and the drink prices are not that outrageous. Nice place with a lot of drafts to choose from including multiple ciders. Nice eye candy without coming off as a total meat market. Also you can sit outside and enjoy a cigar and no one messes with you.

I went to The Hideaway for the first time last night and I loved it! My friend and I were looking for a nice place to grab a drink and watch the Rays game on a rainy Wednesday night and we were pleasantly surprised with our experience! When we entered the bar, there were plenty of big screen TVs showing a few of the different games as well as live music from a DJ who actually played some great music! There was also a small dance floor area which was getting busier and busier as the time went by. The bartenders were friendly and quick, the selection of craft beer and liquor was vast and there is a nice covered patio outside(no smoking inside). Best of all, we realized we were there on $ 1 drink night! Many of the draft beers and liquor drinks were on special, I don’t think it gets much better than that. Overall I was surprised to find such a great neighborhood bar and I will most definitely be back.

This is a fantastic bar. Great atmosphere, good music, the crowd is chill, and the drinks were great. and I thought were reasonably priced for mixed drinks. There is a decent sized outside patio and some pool tables inside. The staff was great as well. There was also a good mix of people of different age groups and backgrounds and everyone looked like they were having a great time. We went on a Saturday night and there wasn’t a cover charge, I’m not sure if that is always the case though. The only downsize, and it is so minor, is that the patio overlooks the strip mall’s parking lot and Taco Bell next door, but the place is so much fun you really forget about it. I definitely plan to go back and make it a regular hangout.

This place used to be fun when if first opened but not so much anymore. The bands they get are not good and the crowd disperses early. Its ok as a pregame spot but not a place you are going to be in all night. If you live on Countryside its a convenient location and the drinks are mixed ok.
