Excellent breakfast and service, reasonable prices. Just about a perfect experience, from beginning to end, would definitely visit again. Stopped in for breakfast, and was immediately seated. I placed my order, corned beef hash and eggs, with potatoes and toast. The order came out quickly, and was cooked perfectly. The potatoes and hash had a nice crust, potatoes and eggs were cooked properly, and maybe most importantly, they had real butter for the toast. The waitress kept my drink filled, and was courteous, about all I ask for. I can’t think of anything that could have been better.

This diner is legit! I’ve been looking for the Pinellas county equivalent to Pop ‘n Son’s since La Chica and I moved to Dunedin and I’ve found it. Sure, there is no smart-ass Patsy running around with her Tennessee accent, but Papa’s makes up for it with their expansive freaking menu. It goes way beyond breakfast, folks. Sandwiches, burgers, seafood, pasta dinners, steaks, chicken parm – you name it. I went with the Pancakes Supreme. 3 pancakes, sausage, bacon, ham and eggs for $ 9.50. First of all, no one needs 3 damn pancakes, ever. So leaving hungry ain’t an option, especially since they’re really good. Hands down, best I’ve had in Pinellas thus far. Bacon is the real deal too. Thick, meaty, center-cut, crunchy and fresh. I actually subbed out the ham for double bacon, but considering how toothsome everything was, it might have been a mistake. I am an instant fan, and am chuffed to bits to have discovered this diner.

This place has the friendliest and most attentive staff first and foremost. The atmosphere is very cozy and welcoming. And last but not least, the food is most excellent. I had the bacon cheeseburger with French fries which was cooked just as requested. I highly recommend this place. The menu has a plethora of items from seafood to comfort food. You can’t go wrong here! Two big thumbs up

I always past this place and it looks interesting but thought of it more of an old school diner. Once entered it was pretty close what I thought. It was an updated version of an old school diner with a touch tune jukebox and a display window for deserts. Nice tables and avoid atmosphere. The staff there are older ladies but they are excited to take care of u. Seemed to treat everyone as a friend or family member. Ms. Patty was great in getting everything I wanted. Even made sure to put extra whip cream on my daughters pancakes like she requested. My breakfast was Eggs Benedict and Grits. Very good. Sauce was not overwhelming like most restaurants have. It fit nice on the English muffin and each bite was good. Our drinks were never empty and our bellies were full too. It was a little chilly when we first got there but without even asking they adjusted the temperature so everyone could be comfortable. Overall a very nice experience.

Our first time there was for lunch. I had a special concoction of hot pastrami, corn beef on grilled rye with coleslaw & Russian dressing. Oh, yummy! The best I’ve had in years! Wouldn’t recommend the onion rings but hubby said the dinner fries were good. Will definitely return even though it’s a trek from where we’re staying. Btw, service was great. UPDATE: As it turns out our travels found us in the vacinity another 4 times! Breakfast was very good; 2 more lunches with a delicious fried fish sandwich(potato salad was ok) & then I had to have that concoction 1st mentioned above; for dinner I had the liver ‘n onions which were very tasty — mashed potatoes were so so & so was the French Onion soup. A nice surprise was the relish tray and great coleslaw! All the food was served pipping hot and with efficiency. I now know we’ll end up there several more times before we leave for PA,

On our drive back across the state, our tummies were grumbling. Thanksgiving dinner had been at 1 pm and now it was after 11. It was time to eat. The husbeast really wanted me to try this place out, it is near his work place and he thought that I’d like it. When we got there, there was another group in the place, and another couple just arriving, but other than that, it was slow. We were sat immediately, and our waitress was very friendly. We placed our orders for Bacon Cheeseburgers and waited. It wasn’t but a moment before we were given a bowl of some of the best Cole Slaw I’ve eaten. We shared that and then our food was delivered. My burger was cooked perfectly, the bacon was fresh, it hadn’t been waiting all day and just warmed up by microwave, nope, it was fresh off the griddle. The only complaint I had was the onion rings were the prefab Oreida ones. Not hand breaded. Not that they advertise them as, but they were edible. Over all, the the food was great and the service was fine!

Finally a good diner! I was very impressed with the food and the staff was very friendly. I will come back, for sure. I got the Gyro Wrap and it came with steak fries, and coleslaw and the coleslaw was awesome. It was very creamy and had great flavor. We also opted for a slice of chocolate cake and omg. I can’t rave enough about it. I can’t wait to come back again. Yummmmm

Nice late night(early morning find). Throw back diner with great tunes, menus, bakery case. Staff was very friendly and food was YUMMY-Licious! The Rueben was fantastic, fries were hot, coleslaw was amazing. The Greek omelet was filled with feta and prepared perfectly! The staff takes great pride and we wish them wild success!

On our way to Clearwater Beach, my wife, daughter and I stopped in here for lunch. This place is a good solid diner. It has all the expected diner foods, with good flavors and good prices. I ordered the Ruben, which flavor wise was excellent and average size. My wife got the French Dip, which was very meaty and she enjoyed it. The service was average. Our server didn’t seem overly busy, but at times it was hard to get service.

A week or two ago I was having a conversation with a friend about late-night spots, and she mentioned she bookmarked this place because it wasn’t too far from her. Fast forward a few days and the mr. decides he wants to hang out somewhere at approximately 1a.m. I wasn’t feeling a coffee at wawa or ihop, so we end up here. They were quiet, which was expected at ass o’clock in the morning on a weeknight, but the waitress and other woman working there were both friendly and peppy. I ordered blueberry pancakes and he ordered a french dip, but it looked more like a cheesesteak. I didn’t try it but reported it was good. The pancakes were a little underwhelming. I figured they would have berries in the batter, but it was just plain pancakes with that goopy berry syrup on top. Every time I want pancakes I clearly just need to reevaluate that urge and get something else because I’m underwhelmed more often than not. The restaurant itself is clean, and pretty basic in décor. This is a no-frills diner, perfect for the late night tummy grumble when nothing else is open. I had an average experience and would probably return if it was one of just a couple options open in the super late hours.

First day in Clearwater and wanted lunch before meeting friends. The Unilocal reviews looked good so we stopped here. Great, friendly service. The daughter wanted French toast and sausage and they automatically gave her the kids portion and price, which was perfect amount. I ordered the French dip, which came with coleslaw, French fries and a pickle for $ 9. And they were very generous with the meat in the sandwich. The husband ordered the Reuben which I tried. Again, nice amount of meat and it was perfectly balanced with some tasty sauerkraut. His came with soup. Which was cabbage and corn beef. Nice amount of veggies and meat in it. Also had fries and coleslaw, again only $ 9. Definitely worth going to if in area

This is an excellent restaurant which I frequent in my neighborhood. I had breakfast and lunch there and I rate this fantastic American NY style restaurant number one in Clearwater! The prices were great as well as the friendly and terrific wait staff! The managers came over to see if everything was alright! I came from Connecticut and frequented Delis in NY and this facility replicated the ones up North and perhaps better hands down!‘this eatery is a home run every time! I just had lunch here again and it was exactly like my favorite restaurant in Portchester NY! Fantastic lunch as well as breakfast! The best in Clearwater!

We stopped in late night for a bite to eat and found this newly rehashed diner that was pretty cool, clean and ready for business. The menu is huge! It has a huge selection of everything including breakfast, lunch, dinner, and dessert items. Where do they put everything in the kitchen? We made our selections, which included a Philly cheese steak omelet with home fries, an open faced pastrami sandwich with swiss, onions, and garlic, and some banana chocolate chip pancakes. Everything came out quickly and tasted great. The service was friendly and attentive. This 24⁄7 operation is a great stop for an inexpensive meal and the selections are endless. I’m sure we’ll be back soon and would recommend stopping in to check them out!

I am not a big fan of diners. They have food that I can make at home, the ambience is pretty much always the same, and then I get billed at the end. I normally only step foot in one if I’m feeling lazy, which was the case today. I was heading to a place I had bookmarked in Palm Harbor, when I decided I didn’t want to drive that far so instead I pulled in here. I wanted to try their burger, but I also wanted breakfast, so I did both. I ordered the Texas burger and a Western Omelette. I went with onion rings, home fries, and toast for my sides. «When do you expect your guest to arrive?» the waitress asked. «There is no guest, this is for me» I replied. «Are you kidding me?» asked the waitress raising an eyebrow. Now the challenge was on, I may have only intended to sample both, but now I was determined to clean all plates. The place was pretty full, but 25 minutes to get your food in a diner is pushing it. I have to agreee with others, get your kitchen staff on the ball. My food arrived. The burger was cooked a perfect medium rare as I requested, and for a diner, it was a darn good burger. The omelette and home fries were tasty as well. The onion rings were the low point, not the worst I’ve ever had, but far from the best. I finished all my food, because I am all that is man. I am also still very full. This is a 3.5 to me, but I can’t give half stars. The burger elevates it to a 4.

I was very happy to see that a diner that is open 24 hours a day has opened on this part of Gulf to Bay. Over the years, this location has been the home for a variety of restaurants. This one however, looks like it’s here to stay. It is nicely remodeled and clean with a very cheerful and friendly wait staff. Being our first visit, we decided to order the basics: a burger and a club sandwich. The burger was the Mexican Burger(cooked medium) and I got the Sliced Turkey Club sandwich on white toast. I also asked for a side order of Fries because the Club sammies only come with potato salad. Before our meals arrived, we were given some very tasty complimentary coleslaw to nosh on. It really tasted good! When the meals arrived, they looked awesome!(see pics) The burger was cooked perfectly and had great tasting bun. The tomatoes could have been riper but overall it was an awesome burger. The Club sandwich was great! It had lots of tasty turkey and perfectly cooked crispy bacon. The potato salad was fine but I felt that it was a little bland for my taste. The fries were hot, tasty and an ample portion. Papa’s New York Diner has a huge menu that I am going to work my way through in the upcoming months. They have Greek and Italian specialties as well as lots of salads. They always seemed packed for breakfast. For a diner that has just recently opened, they really seem to have their act together. Please stop by and give them a try because I was pleasantly surprised and you will be too. Their correct address is 1764 Gulf to Bay Blvd., Clearwater, 33756. There are other Unilocal reviews for this restaurant with an incorrect address. Please check them out, too!

— — — — — — — — — — — — -OPEN 24HOURS7DAYS — — — — — — — — — — — — This is a new diner that just opened on October 15th. The inside has been completely rehabbed from the previous owners. The waitstaff are very friendly and accommodating. The owners are on site and also very warm and friendly. I’ve had lunch here twice so far and each time was terrific. Ruben Grill comes with a cup of soup, French Fries, & Cole Slaw $ 7.75! The other time I had a Grilled Cheese w/Bacon and Tomato, Fries and Cole Slaw $ 5.75. Both were excellent and you can’t beat the price. They have a very extensive menu too large to name, but it runs from breakfast fare to Prime Rib and 10oz Rib Eye steaks. Check out their menu at: I wish these folks all the best. This is definitely a huge up grade from the previous restaurants that occupied this spot. The address is 1764 Gulf To Bay Blvd.(Rt 60) Clearwater(corner of Keene Rd.)
