Stopped in for lunch yesterday right before the lunch rush hit. I was immediately greeted by a young lady who fully explained the menu to me as well as the round table options. I ordered the Newk’s Q with black eye peas as my side. As I sat I observed the manager moving briskly throughout the restaurant being very proactive and coaching her staff for the big rush. I have to say was nice to see a manager taking an active role with her staff. The food arrived promptly about five minutes after ordering everything looked extremely delicious and smelt fresh and wonderful. The sandwich bread was toasted perfectly and the meat and accoutrements where evenly spread out throughout the sandwich! The Black Eyed Peas I got as the side were also fresh and not overdressed. I made my way over to the roundtable and helped myself to some freshly roasted garlic and bread and butter pickles. There’s also freshly grated Parmesan cheese, breadsticks and a red pepper relish available all free of charge! The manager Diane stopped by my table and asked how my meal was. This in my book is another plus since no one ever asks how your meal is even at higher-end restaurants. I told her everything was awesome and this was my first visit and would definitely return. That being said she showed back up at my table about three minutes later with three samples of their homemade soups. Once again I was taken back at the level of service!!! The soups are all fantastic the three I tried were a lobster bisque a pork style soup and I believe kale and potato… I must say they were incredibly fresh and you can definitely tell made in house. Well needless to say based on my interaction with the manager as well as the delicious food and attentive staff I will definitely be returning!!! I heard people talking saying it was a little higher and Bonaire bread style deli. I can tell you have been to Panera bread more than my fair share and I’ve never received the kind of attention I received at Newk’s yesterday!

Oh my gah! Their Mac and cheese is the best I have ever had in my entire life! It’s creamy, hot, flavorful and topped with a crispy layer of crunch! I ordered a pairing of this with a Caesar salad. Mac and cheese it the winner! My Caesar salad was good, but it was just covered in dressing. Next time I know to tell them either put the dressing in the side or go lift on the dressing when tossing. They have novelty cups you can take with you. You order at the from when you walk in, there is a large menu on the wall to the left and also paper menus too. A cake display in a mini fridge shows the flavors they have for the day. The cashier will give you a number and your cup. We sat at a booth and waited for food. The place is clean and well lit. Love the fu it art on the walls, makes me think of Picasso and Van Gogh still life’s. Once we got our food and other tables left and were cleared, the staff all sat together on the far side to enjoy a meal together. I noticed an elder couple walk inside, no one was at the front register and none of the staff acknowledged them as they walked over to the main kitchen. As one to f the staff was walking through the main dining area and the woman asked«is this where we order?», the guy told them to order up front and would have someone there in a bit to help them. Once the cashier returned, the lady tells her, «it would have been nice if you’d been up here to help us when we came in. We’ve never been here so we didn’t know where to go.» Just I case you don’t know, now you all do. Just wait at the register if no one is there they will be. I will definitely be back to try more of their menus! Their salads look so appetizing! But more importantly, I want a full size of their Mac and cheese.

I recently visited Newk’s again and was not disappointed. Over the course of a few visits I have had a few sandwiches that fell flat but the salads have been keeping me coming back for more. Over the course of a few visits I have tried the Newk’s Q Sandwich, the Seared Tuna Sandwich, Pulled Pork & Roasted Corn Chowder, Black and Bleu Salad, Shrimp Rémoulade Salad, and the Margherita Pizza. I did not like the Newk’s Q or the Seared Tuna Sandwich. The Newk’s Q was super greasy, messy to eat, and didn’t taste very good. The tuna tasted off to me but I think I should have thought twice about ordering a seared tuna sandwich from a sandwich shop, I didn’t see it on the menu when I last visited so maybe they felt the same way. The pulled pork & roasted corn chowder was weird. It had a weird constancy, although it tasted good it was odd and had some fat in it which was off putting. The Black and Bleu is salad is really good. Medium rare flame-grilled sliced petite tenderloin steak, Arcadian mixed greens, crumbled gorgonzola cheese, pecans, sweet grape tomatoes, sliced red onion and creamy bleu cheese dressing. They toss it all up for you so each bite gets a good amount of dressing and mix-ins. The Shrimp Rémoulade was good but not as good as the Black and Bleu, It had a full dozen broiled shrimp atop Arcadian mixed greens, with diced hard-boiled eggs, sweet grape tomatoes and was supposed to come with made-from-scratch remoulade dressing but I opted for a vinaigrette instead. I added avocado which was one of my favorite components of the salad but it wasn’t all nice and tossed like the Black and Bleu. The Margherita Pizza was pretty good too, tomatoes and house-shredded mozzarella over tomato sauce, garnished with fresh basil. I would have liked a little more basil though. I also sampled two cakes, the strawberry and the banana nut. Both were very moist, co-workers had the pineapple and caramel that were much more dry. Basically Newk’s has really good salads that aren’t astronomically priced so give them a shot.

Why 5 stars? Because Newk’s is home to the best salads in the Bay Area. — — — On the way back from the beach, my fiancé and I were on a mission to eat healthy, and since she’d already visited Newk’s once before, she suggested a return tip for salads. I didn’t even get out of the car, as she went inside for the goods, to-go. But despite my limited interaction with Newk’s, I’m ready to rate them as home to the best salad in the Bay Area. There are so many choices and options, which I don’t feel like should be as rare as it is. Think of how many meats and vegetables there are in this world? All of those things can go on salads, and they should always be available. Newk’s makes this happen, while too many other similar concepts have slim pickins’! On this visit, I tried the Ultimate salad, which basically consists of «all of the above,» in terms of meat and produce. Right up my alley! If only Newk’s weren’t all the way out in Clearwater, I’d certainly be the duke. And I haven’t even tried the equally delicious-looking pizzas or sandwiches.

Good food and a cool concept. Table of 5 with 3 kids and we basically tried something from each part of menu. Sandwich, salad, soup and a pizza and was all pretty good. We would definitely go back. I personally had the spicy chicken pizza and I really liked it. The toppings were fresh and the dough/crust was fantastic. My youngest got the kids portion of the Mac & cheese and her only regret was that she didn’t go for the adult portion. . Everyone else got a half sandwich with a soup or a salad and no complaints. Good place, we will be back.

Very cool and very much like Jasons Deli! I must say I have been a Jasons fan for a long time and still love them but this place will definitely give them a run for their money. In my opinion the food quality at Newks is a bit better. Everything we had was excellent the lettuce in the salads was extremely fresh you could really taste that there was a great attention to detail with the preparation and quality of materials used. Nice quiet environment, clean and friendly staff. Great healthy food options and loved that the menu rotates with regard to soups.

I was in the neighborhood with my daughter and had heard of this new place so had to stop in. I enjoyed it, my daughter not so much. I had the Newk’s Q and liked the white bbq sauce. I also had the mac & cheese with pimento and it was worth the splurge. .. they serve it in the little cast iron they cook it in and it gets crunchy cheese on the edge which I like. My daughter had the kids pepperoni pizza and picked off the toppings, she said the crust was like a cracker and she was not a fan. She did like the huge plastic(reusable) drink cup. I’m not in this part of town often, but when I am I would go back. Enjoy.

So why four stars? I think this Panera style restaurant with better service and better food will go a long ways. It is rather pricy for what you get, but good food. So we walk in and find a clean well decorated place where much of the food is prepared in eye-sight. We both order pick two style meals with sandwich and soup. Total is near $ 30 for two of us. We go sit down with our number and get our beverages. The ice tea is very freshly brewed and I have to compliment that on its own. My sandwich tastes fresh and you actually taste the turkey and other fresh ingredients, rather than over powered by sauces. Tomato basil soup is awesome with some fresh add ons from their extras station. All considered, good food, just a bit over pricesld.

Newk’s fast, casual concept Reminds me of a fancy Panera. I will definitely stop here more often, Whenever I’m in the area. I met up with the lovely Melissa Z. For a fun, midweek lunch date. We ordered our food at the counter And received it after just a short wait. There were many things that looked good. That were also still good for my diet. I decided on the shrimp & avo salad. On a bed of arugula, I’ll try it! The lemon vinaigrette dressing Had a nice, spicy kick. They give you extra dressing. I made two more salads with it! Melissa’s ahi tuna salad Also looked amazing. I don’t think she noticed, That at her salad, I kept gazing. They’ve also got a «Grab & Go» cooler If you need to grab something fast. Which I will definitely do, Next time I’m driving past.

I really enjoyed my ginormous salad I had for lunch today. When I first arrived, browsed over the menu, I thought to myself that the prices were a little hefty. With that said, I figured the ingredients must be super fresh. My salad did not disappoint. Grilled chicken, fresh cranberries, pecans, blue cheese crumbles, grapes all tossed with lemon basil dressing. Disclosure: I am a huge fan of anything lemon so this dressing really pleased my pallet. What I was really impressed by was the condiment bar. Again, another disclosure: I love condiments, anything pickled or spicy. In addition to my salad I enjoyed, cherry peppers, roasted whole garlic and bread sticks. Would I revisit this establishment, absolutely.

I’m not saying it’s exactly like Jason’s Deli, I’m just saying it’s set up the same. Sandwiches, salads, and soups, take a number, and wait for your food at a table. The hybrid fast-food, sit down restaurant. I will say that their sandwiches are different and a little better than Jason’s Deli. I came today for the first time and ordered take-out. I’ve been wanting to give them a try for a while, but I hate braving Gulf to Bay traffic. I ordered The Royal for myself, which is described as «Hand-sliced smoked ham and oven-roasted turkey(nitrate-free), Genoa salami, choice roast beef, Ammerländer Swiss cheese, romaine lettuce, tomato, mayo and spicy Creole mustard.» I substituted five cheese mac & cheese for the normal side that comes with it. I ordered Newk’s Club for the missus, with a side of coleslaw. I also ordered a bowl of the lobster and crab bisque. I drove home and consumed The Royal. It’s a good sandwich. I found the coleslaw to be decent, the mac & cheese to be just ok, and the lobster and crab bisque tasty. Two sandwiches, a couple sides and soup came to over $ 27, which for the quality and taste seems a bit high for a simple lunch. This place is A-Ok, but I think I’ll stick with the mom and pop sandwich places.

Newk’s is a great new addition to the Clearwater area. I have been here three times now and I have yet to have anything that I didn’t like. They have HUGE gourmet salads, soup, pizza, mac n’cheese, and sandwiches. I am determined to try everything on their menu at some point. So far, I have tried two soups(crab and corn chowder and lobster crab bisque), The Italian sandwich, the mac n’cheese and a salad(they made me the wrong salad, so unsure of the name. It had turkey, artichokes, cranberries, etc.). Everything has been delicious and quickly polished off. My absolute favorites so far are the crab and corn chowder and the Italian sandwich. These are easiest the absolute best corn chowder and Italian sandwich that I have ever had. The chowder had a slight heat on the back of it and SO much flavor. The lobster crab bisque was my least favorite. It wasn’t bad, but it could have used a little bit more love. The mac n’ cheese was also really tasty, but I think I would order it as a side next time and not an entrée. Side note: the mac entrée comes with a side and the fruit cup is pretty solid and makes you feel slightly less awful about the carbs in the dish. I will definitely return to Newk’s again. As a matter of fact, I will probably visit today after school. I definitely recommend giving them a try. You will thank me.

We decided to break our Friday night tradition and head over to Newk’s for something new! We had no idea what to expect, but it ended up being a unique, fresh experience. It’s hard to describe what genre of food Newk’s serves, because it goes from fresh salads to indulgent mac’n’cheese, then they throw in some crawfish, sammies and pizza. We ordered the deluxe personal pizza, the shrimp poboy, and the corn and crab soup. While all three items were a total surprise from what we expected, they were pretty good. I also noticed we left full without feeling overstuffed and lethargic – a good sign! You’ll immediately notice that the staff is friendly, the establishment is inviting, and that the food is ultra fresh. We especially liked the condiment bar with everything from roasted garlic to sriracha and little italian breadsticks. While this probably won’t be our weekly stop, we’d definitely come again.

Four stars first time review… Will update my review as I buy from here. I ordered a BBQ Chicken pizza from online. The pizza is fresh — I finished it all and that’s not usually normal in one sitting for me. It’s a good full, not a sleepy-can’t-move kinda full… YESYOUWILLBEABLETOWORKAFTEREATINGFROMHERE :) The pizza is a bit larger than a personal pizza. If you order from online you’ll notice there’s a lot of free extras — like extra sauce. You can load up on this and even the extra toppings are only $ 0.59. You can eat well for under $ 10 here.

Fast, Fresh, Flavorful!!! This new quick serve restaurant fits the bill for an easy and efficient dining experience. I believe it is the crème de la crème of «fast food». Located in the«Clearwater Mall» off the well-traveled Gulf to Bay Blvd. the restaurant has a good amount parking adjacent to it. Newk’s Eatery is a restaurant concept that has found the Tamoa Bay Area from Missisippi. Rumor has it that they are looking to move into Tampa as well. Newk’s restaurant is colorful, cheery and comfortable with a nice open layout concept. I enjoyed that you could view most of the kitchen area/prep work station. The sauces, bread, and dressings are made daily. Ordering was efficient and easy. Heather was very helpful and explained and clarified confusion as needed. The ordering counter is right hear the entrance when you walk in. After ordering you are given a number and a cup for drinks and you locate a table of booty for you and your dining partner(s). The center round table houses condiments including fixings for salad such as vinegar, garlic cloves, olives, and the like. In addition, there are some pretty great Italian(very thin and crispy) breadsticks which are in a wrapping. Alessi brand sea salt and peppercorn grinders were also located on the round table. There is a drink machine as well as tea-unsweetened, sweetened, and sweetened with Splenda-available as well as lemons to add. The personable manager greeted us at our table and he was passionate and friendly and seemed to enjoy hearing about our thoughts. The sandwich I selected for dinner was fresh and delicious and the crab chowder was very tasty. We enjoyed our first visit and plan on returning in the future when we are in the area.

This was a nice change of pace. I wasn’t sure what to expect. It’s similar to owners bread, only better, a lot better! It was a limited menus as they prepped for grand opening. The décor is nice, very modern. The staff was great; they were very friendly and attentive. Based on it being a sneak peak, they definitely peaked my interest and would eat here again if I was in the area.

I gotta say I enjoyed my meal! It’s very similar to a Panera but with a more ma and pop’s feel to it. The interior design is much warmer with plenty of places to sit at. I must say I love the open kitchen as it brings the whole place together. I tried the spicy shrimp pizza and the shrimp and avocado salad. I was in a shrimpy mood as you can see. The pizza was pretty good, not as spicy as I wanted it to be but they have many things to add to it at their beautiful condiments table. The crust was crispy and chewy and the shrimps were perfectly cooked. Juicy with a bite to it! The shrimp and avocado salad was refreshing! There was a ton of shrimp and avocado so no skimping here. I do wish they used more than one type as greens as the grassy taste is somewhat overwhelming. I stilled enjoyed it greatly. The staffs are very helpful and joyful even with a packed restaurant everyone stayed calm with smiles on their faces. I will certainly find myself revisiting this awesome place to try out their other items on their menu!
