Fresh Fruit & Veggie Co-Op

I was really excited about this place & the fact that they do delivery. I was planning to order from them on a bi-​monthly basis until I got a little taste of the customer service level here. I ordered online on a Thurs morning for a delivery & I was curious when my basket was coming because I never heard from anyone after I placed my order. So I call & speak to Mark. I told him, I was wondering when my basket was going to be delivered. He says, «no you got to come to the store & pick it up.» I said but I checked the «delivery» button on your site. He says, «oh well ya didn’t tell me that.» Am I the idiot here or does, «I’m wondering when my basket is being delivered» mean that I am expecting AN EFFING delivery? I can only imagine if he is this passive aggressive with his wife, but she’s the same way, but we’ll get to her. He explains deliveries go out only once a week. So I waited a full 7 days before I got mine, which is fine… I guess. So then I speak to his co owner wife because I wait a week for my basket & it’s finally Thurs @ 5 o’ clock & no basket. Seemingly bothered, she tells me the delivery boy couldn’t find my place. Ok, & no one was going to call & tell me that? Let me guess? The delivery boy is their son? Wouldn’t surprise me. After waiting alllll day he finally he gets here past 6pm. I see the delivery boy 2 buildings down going to the wrong condo, I’m whistling as loud as I can, he still can’t hear me. He gets in his truck & drives off. I call wifey poo back. I think she picks up on my impatience & frustration despite the fact that I am still being kind. She then takes on one of those fake-​nice condescending tones with me & I just hang up because who needs that? Plus I see delivery boy on the other side of the building & thought I’d go flag him down. He makes it up to the top of the stairs… no «hello», no «sorry I couldn’t find you», nothing. He just gave me a blank stare like, where do I put this? I said, you can place it on the table. Is the business of farming and fruit trading that stressful that you treat your customers like this? I mean get some manners or take that crap up to Pasco County… or the zoo. We don’t want it around here.

This place is great! Just went there for the first time and I am amazed at what I got for my money. Incredible. Very friendly people and, again, what a bargain.
