Florida Blood Services

I donate blood as often as I can because it makes me feel like I am actually contributing to the well being of my fellow man for once.
The people at the Florida Blood Services are as nice as you can get and try their best to make donating as pain free as possible. they are super nice, super fast and love to joke around as to take your mind off the needle that they are about to shove into your vein.
We were in and out pretty fast even though they were apologizing for the wait the whole time I think we were there for less than 45 minutes. every time I go here (this was my second time donating) they give me a free shirt and since I’ve donated twice I get a free dinner at Outback Steakhouse (you have to donate twice before the end of August and there is a 6 week wait in between donations so hurry now!) so that is pretty sweet.
I received a donor card with my blood type on it and the best use of my blood for their needs so from now on I will probably be doing Platelets instead of whole blood (Platelets takes 1 – 2 hours so you get to chill and watch a movie).
The employees here are totally awesome, I will be donating here as long as I can.
