I hadn’t been to a dentist in more than 2 years thanks to living overseas. I was reluctant to find a dentist when I moved to Tampa, after having several bad experiences with being overcharged and up sold by other dentists in South Florida.
My friend assured me Dr. Mullett was honest and affordable. When I called to make my first appointment, I was told up front how much my visit would cost. No surprises when I went to pay! This place was already better than my past dentists and I hadn’t even gone into the office yet.
Dr. Mullett was going to be out of town for a month but they squeezed me in before he was leaving. Consequently, there wouldn’t be time for me to get my initial consultation and cleaning during the same visit since it was so last minute. I didn’t mind since the staff was so nice on the phone.
My initial consultation was terrific. The staff was extremely friendly. During the consultation, Dr. Mullett spent more than an hour with me. Yes, the dentist spent AN HOUR with me! He did the most thorough dental exam I’ve ever had and explained everything to me.
What was probably most shocking happened when i asked him my options for fixing some discoloration on my front tooth. I had previously been told the only way to fix this would be to get veneers on my 4 top front teeth, which would cost a small fortune, so I assumed this was a defect I’d have to live with forever. Dr. Mullett assured me he could fix the tooth for a fraction of the cost and without veneers!
I have since been back for my cleaning and after meeting all of the staff, I cannot recommend Dr. Mullett enough. He and his team completely changed my attitude toward going to the dentist.
