Comfort Suites Clearwater – Dunedin

We stayed here for 3 days it wasn’t bad. The only thing I would suggest is an update on their amenities. The heated pools heater went out when we were there. Also the elevator broke down which it’s kind of scary for someone like me who is scared of getting stuck in an elevator. Another item that would need to be updated was the exercise room. The weights and the elliptical both were in need of maintenance. The elliptical did not keep time, and the weight machine did not have access to most of the weight because it was rusted. The breakfast was good it’s your typical breakfast that you would get at most hotels. The kids did love the make your own waffle bar. My room was clean for the most part. I would stay here again. It does have a beautiful view of the ocean but you have to go outside of your room to see it. The view is obstructed by trees.
Also I was a little disappointed because I booked this through a travel website, the website was wrong the trolley to the beach is only on the weekends. So if you’re looking for a ride to the beach the Jolly trolley is only Friday through Sunday.

After I posted this issue, the mgr of the hotel has continued to badger me. She’s has slandered me and put me out there as the bad guy. And because I posted a bad review on the choice website, she took it down and deleted it. They don’t like it when you put a complaint review telling the public the truth about there business. Very shady hotel along with ignorant people that work there. I’ve gathered other Guest complaints that has dealt with this location in the past. There will be more bad reviews about this hotel chain and there Mgr. because of there lack of communication between us.

Nice quiet place a little pass downtown area. Front desk was friendly and helpful. Couldn’t complain one bit

Had booked a king executive room. Turns out all the executive suites which are larger all all near or I should say right behind the elevator.
Went to front desk, told them no way. Got put in a room on a floor that was being renovated. Needless to say we were not impressed with the room AT ALL.
Location is nice. The pool was heated which was nice, as it was a little cool.
The breakfast area is incredibly small. While there is seating outside right outside the breakfast area. It is the smokers area. So you can’t go outside and eat. Well you can but it’s one big ashtray.
I really can’t rate this hotel more than 2 stars. While its in a nice location, and the staff was nice. What we got for $ 115 was only worth 2 stars. There are so many choices in this area. In fact. We noticed a Holiday Inn Express just a few blocks up the road closer to Honeymoon Island. We would reocmmend staying there if you need to stay in the area. Not here.

For a little over $ 100 per night this is a good option on the coast in Clearwater near the beach and downtown Dunedin. The gal running the front desk was always very nice and helpful. The room was large and everything was clean.

Nice rooms and comfortable beds. It sucks, however, that u have to take a cab to go anywhere for night life. The guy at the front desk told us not to walk around at night because of the area we were in.

Not sure if I would stay here again. The hotel had no working elevator and rooms were on the second and third floors. I was beginning to wonder if a person was handicapped how would they get to their room? It was very difficult carrying a suitcase up and down three flights of stairs. The room was average and clean, but the bed was very hard and their pillows had no support. Don’t think I’ll be coming back to this location and I’ll definitely think twice about booking a room at a choice hotel.

Decent place. Stayed here while in town for a wedding. Small but decent pool. The beach is right across the street. Rooms were decent, too, with your standard items: cable TV, fridge, phone, beds, fold-​out couch, ironing boards/​iron, etc.
The front desk ppl were very nice. Rooms and buildings were pretty clean. Housekeeping women were nice, too, and always greeted us as we passed by.
Parking lot is a little small but it fit all the cars. They blocked off a small section of it to build some kind of platform. There are a few covered parking spots as well. It gets really sunny and hot down in Clearwater.
