Beleive it or not, for a chain it was really good. My wife and I were given a gift card to this place. I had the Ahi tuna steak and my wife had the surf and turf meal. Until the gift card i had no plans to ever come to this place and now we plan to definitely return. The staff was great and very accommodating.

First time I tried here and I must sat that it is an excellent place to dine at. Good food and great service. I ordered the Ahi tuna steak seared and rare in the middle. It came with a scoop of white rice and also got the lemon butter sauce. I also requested wasabi which they gladly gave. The fish came out perfect and it was delicious with the sauces. I would definately come here again.

So it’s Christmas Eve and I made reservations to bring my family to Bonefish. reservations were at 6 and now it’s 7:30pm and I’m done. How shameful! I refuse to pay my hard earned money to a disrespectful company.

Now that we moved from Chicago we came here for a second time. You can’t beat the service here at any other restaurant. Waiters/waitress’s always right on the spot for drinks and quickly brought piping hot food out. Both entrees we had were perfectly prepared and very tasty. This is now our go to place for seafood in the area.

Most folks already know that Bonefish is a great restaurant. I’m writing this review because I was really thrilled tonight to discover that they’re serving stone crab this season. My wife and I have been to two other seafood restaurants lately in search of stone crab, just as we always do about this time of year, but one of them had run out by 6 pm on Friday and the other just plain wasn’t serving it. Not only is Bonefish serving this seasonal local legend, they’re doing a darn good job of it. I thoroughly enjoyed my giant claws served cold with horseradish and cocktail sauce, and I’m glad that the 2015 hunt for stone crab has come to a merciful end. My wife ordered sword fish with pumpkin ravioli topped with truffle butter and feta. We shared the mussels as an appetizer. Overall it was a first rate meal, and the service was very friendly and prompt. No wonder we had trouble finding a parking spot even though it’s a Tuesday!!!

The services was excellent and we got plenty of attention for our table of 4. The corner booth was nice since usually Bonefish has the worst acoustics and difficult to hear others at normal volumes. I do not care much for the server letting me know something costs $ 1.50 more since I am choosing a side from another list… already spending 8 or 9 dollars a drink, 4 dinners, and probably dropping $ 150 or so… my own pet peeve… just give me the asparagus and whether you put the item on the check of give me a freebie, it does not matter. The portions are rather pathetic and screams of some MBA intern who was put on the cost-cutting project. Mashed potatoes look like they are measured out of an ice-cream scoop… come on guys… put a good dollop of the tators on my plate… don’t be shy! The small piece of grouper also as pathetic as the small piece of sea bass… I know the sea bass is 6 oz. but the grouper was like the size of a protein bar. Drinks were fine… they always do a good job in that department. So I am not totally beating them up, but 3 stars reflects probably more of what the corporate offices require the restaurants to do… the particular outlet appears to be well-managed and the employees are very well trained… as a chain restaurant, they are«ok»… Right…I forgot… they did greet us with complementary bang bang, plenty of bread, and accommodated the variety of dietary restrictions at the table.

Beware cheap fish restaurants. Bonefish Grill, however, is not one of those and I love it It’s not overly pricey, dont get me wrong, but you are paying for quality. I’ve been to this location maybe eight or so times and each time walked away feeling pretty happy. Service is good, they seem to be child friendly and considering the crush of customers they are pretty fast on their feet. I’ve mostly have had sea bass, salmon and tuna here and they are very good at cooking the fish until its perfect – soft, even buttery, hot but never dry. Love the sides, the desserts are criminally good(I hate great desserts). So, go, but best to try it in the off hours to avoid the rush.

Just finished dinner the burger was tasteless unless you consider heavy salt a desirable taste. Great Waite staff comfortable setting. House wine enjoyable Steak dinner very poor cut of meat good place for a couple of friends to enjoy a drink. If you want much better food go to grill smith or mystic fish. When the food is much better at five guys maybe you are in the wrong place

This is our go to Bonefish. It’s close to the house and centrally located to my friends, which makes for a great«meet in the middle» location. Bonefish Is consistent but it seems as though they’ve deviated from their usual menu. Maybe they’re trying to reach a different demographic? We ordered the bang bang shrimp, and although good, they were pretty mayonnaise-y. For our meal, we both ordered a bowl, which was a new menu item. This is where I went wrong. I should have stuck to what they’re known for. The pad Thai bowl I ordered was soupy and pretty sweet. I really didn’t taste that peanut flavors I’m accustomed to. They did have $ 1 off drafts, which was nice, but that’s where it ended for HH. Would i return? Sure but I’d definitely order something different.

Came here because we had a gift card. Honestly didn’t expect much but was more than pleasantly surprised. For the price of the food, it was very tasty… The Tuna steak was tender and the filet and crab were as well. If you try anything make sure to get the sweet potato mash!!! Service was by far the best! We sat at the bar and Tiffany was incredibly attentive and made great recommendations on her favorites along with truthful recommendations as well. Overall great meal, will definitively be back!

Another less than ideal visit here. Again, service was very slow — took about 45 minutes to receive our meals after appetizers had been served. Again, they served a completely raw filet to my BF who had ordered it medium(same thing happened last visit). After 2 attempts to re-fire the filet which by then looked like 3 charcoal briquettes the manager who delivered it apologized and said they would take it off our bill. That was the appropriate response and he probably should have done a bit more considering how much waiting 15 minutes for the last person in our party to receive his entrée affected the overall experience. The portions were considerably smaller and the food in general was not as good as what I’m used to receiving at Bonefish. The steamed broccoli I ordered as a side(and was charged extra to get because they have been referring to Couscous as their seasonal ‘vegetable’ for that past 2 months for some unknown reason — ugh) was way way way over salted. Having just eaten at the Trinity restaurant on a busy weekend night and had a wonderful experience like we have every time we have eaten at that location, I’m not wasting my money at the Clearwater location anymore.

I just had the ribeye dinner with a lobster tail with fresh sautéed spinach with a bacon mushroom dipping sauce which was out of this world. I was waited on by Luis who gave me excellent service. Wow I’m stuffed it was so amazing. The prices were a little steep but it was very good food. $ 43 no drinks and I wasn’t told about filling out a free survey online for a free bang bang shrimp like the ladies before. Overall it was a good meal.

Classy night on the town! Good service and lovely ambience. The seafood has all been great — I had the Sea Bass and it was perfect. It’s a nice happy hour stop too, we had a full portion of the seared ahi tuna appetizer, delicious and very filing — served with home made house bread, which is great too! Being local — good seafood and good service is important to me — I’ve brought out of town guests here, it’s not inexpensive but it’s well worth it. No complaints here, would definitely go back!

Good food, reasonable prices, above average service. We got the Bang Bang Shrimp as an app, it was quite good. I had the Florida Cobb Salad as my entrée and it was delicious, light yet filling. Loved the citrus dressing. Our server was friendly, fast, and funny. Helpful without being overbearing. I’d go back.

Here is an often overlooked gem when it comes to Unilocaling, mainly because Unilocal is all about the local businesses, and not so much about the chains. It’s true, BF is a chain, but technically it’s local. As many people know, BF is a subsidiary of Outback, which began and is headquartered right here in Tampa. And for anyone who passes up on grubbing down at BF because it is a chain, I feel bad for you! The atmosphere here is great, the service is always top-notch and the food is to die for. I’ve eaten at this location twice. Usually I hit the Dale Mabry locale. On the first visit here several years back, they had just added gulf grouper to the menu, so I ordered it and it was amazing. Wanting to tear into something different this time around, I hooked something from the specials menu. Fire-grilled snapper + shrimp with green beans. I added a side of fire-grilled broccolini to keep the them going, and to avoid going the starch route. The snapper was juicy and perfectly charred on the outside. The taste was out of this world. The shrimp were also good, but served with the tail. I really dislike hot shrimp with a tail. The veggie sides were good as well, especially the broccolini. Definitely worth the upgrade charge. To drink, I had an old fashioned from the bar. The price was right, and so was the taste. I’m a fan and will continue to eat here for a casual date night with La Chica.

«You want to go where?!» That’s what Mark H. said when I asked him to take me to Bonefish last night. «Anywhere in Tampa, and you want to hit a chain?!» Yup, that’s right. I want reliable seafood under dim lighting with attentive service. What I love about this place is that it’s so consistent, that I get just that. The same dish I had about ten years ago when Bonefish started in St. Pete tastes the same now as it did then. Sure their attempts at traditional cocktails are hilariously adorable, but they can still churn out the same olé tasty Bang Bang Shrimp, while adding exciting new menu offerings such as Pad Thai Shrimp. I had a Corn Chowder with Lump Crab bisque that I have to head back for last night, but also had the same olé Seared Tuna done as well as always. Mark’s entire dish was flame licked to perfection, even the broccolini! It’s true, I like this chain, and I’m not ashamed!

A little annoying when you get used to the service of other Bonefish restaurants only to come to this one and have it fall below par in service standards. We picked up Togo food only to wait in their curbside parking lot for 10 minutes before calling in and finding out they don’t bring it to you curbside. Why call it curbside than if it’s really just Togo take out? Kind of annoying and I expect more from a restaurant of this calibre. I at least expect them to all operate the same way. If McDonalds can figure it out I’m sure Bonefish can, too!

How the mighty has fallen seems appropriate for this review. I haven’t been back to Bonefish in awhile, but I don’t remember it being this mediocre. Food: We ordered the bang bang shrimp and the mixed grill shareables. The bang bang shrimp was nothing extraordinary. The mixed grill, however, was horrible. The sirloin had no flavor or seasoning so it tasted like a bland piece of meat. The other accompaniments aren’t even worth mentioning. The portion was more like for one person not two as advertised. Service: Our server was attentive and great. I don’t think I’ll be back until they go back to putting out quality food.
