First mistake — I referenced UrbanSpoon rather than Unilocal!for information concerning a restaurant. Dialed the number listed and ordered pizza for delivery from what I thought was Angelo’s on Mandalay. Pizza arrives in non-descript box. We open said box, and notice the pie is cut into slices rather than squares; squares being considered traditional for Chicago-style pizza that Angelo’s specializes in. I then read the advertisement stapled to the box and notice it reads ‘Tony Pepperoni’s’. I proceed to feel duped and subsequently get really pissed. We ate the pizza with the soggy crust, all but invisible cheese, and sauce containing a cloying spice that doesn’t belong in pizza(cumin, perhaps?) because it cost $ 43. I then call Angelo’s to let them their phone number is incorrect on UrbanSpoon, and they tell me this isn’t the first time Tony Pepperoni has played the ‘change the phone number’ game. Second mistake — not calling Tony Pepperoni to tell him what I thought of his business practices and his pizza.
