I’ve eaten in more expensive and fancier places, but this small town breakfast ranks in the top 10. My sausage and cheese omelette was light and also plentiful with sausage overflowing the plate. Plus, the presentation was very thoughtful, artful even. The service was efficient and friendly. I will make a point to come again.

The breakfast here is incredible. I come here every Sunday morning with my friend/​coworker and I’m never disappointed. The woman that is regularly working, Betty, is a wonderful woman. She is kind and patient. Not to mention, when she gets creative in the kitchen, I’m always impressed. If you’re in town, this place is a must.

Went there last week for dinner ordered the deep fried chicken and it was the worst meal ever … It was a roasted chicken they had put some flour or something on then threw it into the fryer making it so dry I couldn’t eat it. By far the worst meal I have had in the 2 months I have been in Clearlake working on the fire clean up …

Will I used to live in Clearlake CA and I will say this place is really good. I was never disappointed this place is always good busy and the people who work there very wonderful and friendly it’s probably one of the best restaurants at Lake County actually offers so I recommend if you’re coming to town stop by check it out and this place has been around for at least 20 years so you know its gotta be somewhat decent but I used to go here at least once a month every month but it is one of my favorite places

We have been on assignment in Clearlake for a couple of weeks now. We’ve also stopped by the Main Street Grill for breakfast on a regular basis. The food is good and the prices are fair. On top of that — Betty provides excellent customer service!

We came upon this place accidentally when we attempted to find a different restaurant during my husbands lunch break and our maps were taking us to a trailer park. Since we were on a time crunch we stopped at this place since it was near by.
We ordered two sandwiches and our son had the popcorn shrimp. The popcorn shrimp was the tables favorite item! The plain Fries our son had were great. Unfortunately we ordered both sandwiches with garlic Fries and while we are huge garlic fans they weren’t our style. They had way too much raw garlic so they were just bitter tasting and very oily but again the plain Fries were great! Our favorite sandwich was the chicken, bacon and avacado sandwich which was juicy and delicious. Our other one was the pastrami and it was ok. Our son keeps asking about going back if we get a chance so he can have more popcorn shrimp!
The service was great! The staff was extremely nice and attentive!

One thing about main st is the inconsistency! I got the super sandwich and asked for the bread to be grilled or toasted and for extra pickles. I’m glad I peeked before I left there were no extra pickles just three scraggly ones and I had to ask server to get me some. I got home to find bread that was soft soggy and def not grilled or toasted. To make it worse at first I thought they forgot the cheese but finally found a tiny piece on one half and they put only ¹⁄₃ of the avocado they usually do… Being a vegetarian sandwich those are pretty important components. Also my cole slaw side was so small it was pitiful… I couldn’t even finish it last time so I know it was subsTandard. I really hate it when I get take out and it’s a shadow of what I would get if I ate in! I pay the same!
To be fair I ordered this sandwich a few days ago and it wAs bomb but I didn’t leave a good review… Hopefully I get it again and can write a better review to make up for just being a complainer!

Love the food here! The Crab Cake Egg Benedict was so yummy. Had a bite of my boyfriends Chicken fried steak too. That thing is enormous! They even serve alcohol, and that big thing for us when we do brunch. Our waitress Courtney, was such a doll. She was so polite and on top of everything we asked for. Definitely, will be going back here, and often.

Possibly the best breakfast joint in the Bay Area and beyond. The menu is just there to get you thinking because when Betty comes to take your order the options are unlimited. No request is too much and no combo too weird. In fact, Betty will blow your mind with endless possibilities like … Chicken fried eggs Benedict, 4 and ½ alarm breakfast burrito or the Louisiana style burger which she invented while just standing by our table. This is breakfast old-​style with performance art and a kitchen whose motto seems to be «bring it on!»

I will say, the food was outstanding, and I’ve never seen a chicken fried steak that big before in my life. With that said, This place has just possibly destroyed my standards for customer service.
1. Our waitress came by every few minutes to check on us.
2. She brought Amelia (a lover of hot sauce) 6 different hot sauces for her to try.
3. She offered to toss Amelia’s old cup of coffee in lieu of a fresh brewed cup.
4. She offered to remake my strawberry orange juice if I wasn’t happy with it (it didn’t need remade)
5. She, and another waitress, came by to refill coffee so often, Amelia’s mug never emptied.
6. Apple pie was offered as an appetizer.
7. Hugs were accepted from as we were leaving (she was a really sweet lady).

We came to Clearlake for the night on a stopover on our way to Washington and our hotel recommended this place wow the food Is amazing I would recommend the mushroom burger !!

What a great place. We go to clearlake every year with good friends and just happened to stop at this place for the first time and WOW. Very Friendly, lots of food. After taking our order, she asks us if we would like to start with an appetizer (Cherry Pie)…We arrived for breakfast but who wouldn’t want a cherry pie to start? The milk shakes come in thin, medium and thick. Why didn’t we come here before? Now I believe it will be a place to go to every clear lake visit. :-D Thanks everyone

Maybe because we had a party of 10, but no because it took a while for everyone else to get their food as well. Food is decent and wasn’t too busy for Father’s Day either. Maybe we’ll try again if we’re in the area.

Stopped here for lunch while touring the county a couple days ago.
I don’t remember what we all had but it was good, very nice service and décor and atmosphere, I would go here again.

The food here is absolutely fantastic! the prices are very reasonable about 9 bucks a person.

Appetizers were great mozzarella cheese sticks &
Shrimp basket
Fish & chips huge crunchy pieces
Baked Salmon stuffed with Crab & jasmine rice
I didn’t taste alot of Crab but it was yummy
Now here’s why the two star deduction happened
1 my son ordered chicken ravioli and had to wait,
It’s rude & frustrating be the ONLY person not eating dinner,
2 We had to get it to go, the ravioli still wasn’t ready after we loaded up the car.
Aside from that I would eat here again since the customer service was great and so was the food.
I’ll just get everything to go.

I recently moved to Middletown. I go to Clearlake to buy my groceries and stopped to eat at the Main St Bar and Grill. I have now been going there EVERY time I go to Clearlake. I love the service, the food is great and the staff is wonderful! There is nothing that I have ordered that wasn’t 5 stars. Love this place.
