I love this place. Consistent quality and awesome staff. We go there for the burritos.

I guess when there isn’t much to choose from you take what you can get. The décor was ok if a bit run down, the staff seemed like they couldn’t care less if we were there, and the food was meh. My wife enjoyed the tacos and that’s the only reason I gave two stars. I had the grilled chicken nachos and they were the worst nachos I’ve ever had. The chicken was overcooked and the whole dish was bland. How do you screw up nachos? Even the chips were overcooked. Definitely won’t be coming back

The grilled veggie«tostada» was super delicious. Every single bite. Margarita not so much.

DONOTEATHERE! I give this place one star because it won’t let me give no stars. These people who gave good reviews are either employees or have seriously damaged pallets. No amount of pomegranate margarita couldn’t help this food. We stumbled onto this restaurant while passing through the Clear Lake area. The place was shabby and dirty. The bathroom was filthy and ill equipped. The owner was playing American music recorded in Spanish and loudly blurting out parts of every song. It was painfully loud and annoying. We couldn’t hear each other talk. Although it was early lunch time many items listed on the menu were unavailable. We waited 25 minutes for our food. When it finally arrived(Mine was chili relleno with beans and rice.) it smelled rank; and it looked like vomit out of a can. There was some kind of gelatinous sauce on parts of it that was disgusting! I reluctantly took a bite and regretted it immediately. It was inedible. My husband got a quesadilla which also was disgusting and inedible. How do you screw up a quesadilla and beans and rice??? It was several hours before my stomach settled enough to eat again. It should be illegal to serve this slop.

We go here about once a month for the past 4 years. The food is consistently good. The service is great! May I recommend a pomegranate margarita?

I love this place! Very friendly atmosphere including a waiter who sang to us. Clean, service was wonderful. I usually get the chimichanga and have never been disappointed. The tacos, tamales and enchiladas are also very yummy. Best Mexican food in Clearlake and surrounding areas.

Excellent Mexican food — some of the best I have had in years. And the best restaurant by far in Clearlake we have eaten at. I had the Camerones Rancheros. Excellent! Big shrimp, perfectly cooked with a side of homemade beans, great guacamole and onions and peppers. The others had Chili Verde(equally yummy) and Chicken Fajitas. The salsas were so good — I liked the mild and green salsa the best. Chips were good and plentiful. The meal came with a salad — okay, the salad bar could have been a bit fresher but it was insignificant to the entire meal. We will be back!!!

I gave Cabos another chance, much better than my previous visit. There was no fat in my chicken burrito, all good quality meat. They may have turned it around! I will go again

Carnitas burrito has big chunks of pork, I was expecting it to be shredded. They did not have black beans and substituted pintos. They DONOT know how to wrap a burrito… it came in a styro container I would expect of an enchilada plate. The burrito could not be picked up, I had to eat it with a fork and knife. They only have red and green salsa, the red was quite good but the tomatillo salsa was awful. As some people have mentioned there is a distinct lack of seasoning, everything is pretty bland and my burrito is mostly rice and beans. Very skimpy on the sour cream, guacamole, cheese, onions and tomatoes… but not on the giant chunks of pork I have to cut with a fork and knife. Oh well, I needed the fork and knife anyways seeing as my burrito was wrapped like a giant soft taco. Pretty Mediocre. Next time I want Mexican food on a Sunday, I will make it myself.

Delicious cheesy beans & rice, generous portions, good prices, very friendly and accommodating wait staff, nice atmosphere — what’s not to love? We’ve been here a number of times and are fans. Food isn’t gourmet or «fusion» or anything fancier than it claims to be, but then again, the check(even with a couple of margaritas) won’t set you back, and it’s an overall enjoyable experience to come here. Lots of vegetarian-friendly options — vegan might take a little more effort but they really do aim to please the customer. Huevos rancheros isn’t on the menu(it’s not open for breakfast) but they’ve made it up for us a couple of times on request. Wish it was on the water with outdoor seating, but then it would be packed and more expensive!

We ate here twice in one week. The food is excellent and reasonably priced. They also have a great selection of Tequila for margaritas. This is the best food in Clearlake in our opinion. Great food. Great staff.

When I am in a cheesy mood I head for Cabos!!! Love their cheesy enchilatas, chili rellenos– and their tacos are great too! Great location– whether shopping for food, gifts or getting your hair done you can end your shopping(or begin it) with a great unrushed meal at Cabos, often accompanied by a serenade from the singing chef.

Now this is great Mexican food! I’m addicted to their green salsa! Things I love about Cabos: * The staff — everyone who works as Cabos is friendly * The food — we eat here a few times a week for years and everything is delicious. I love the rice and beans. The enchilada sauce is wonderful with deep layered flavors. * Something for everyone — If you aren’t into Mexican food, then try their cheeseburger and garlic fries! * The salsa bar — I like the fact that I can go fill up on salsa * Cold beer — Cabos keeps their beer cold * Salad bar — If you are in the mood for a salad, they have you covered. You can build your own salad. * Fresh iced tea — Once in awhile the tea is funky but for the most part it’s always fresh. * The older male waiter — He’s a dancer, singer, and will do magic tricks for your kids! He’s not over the top though. * Family friendly — This is a great place for families to eat. It’s obvious the staff loves kids.

I took my fiancée here soon after New Years Day. The good things: Service was quite good, and the waiter was attentive. The restaurant was very clean and with friendly décor. When a variant of one of their menu items was requested, it was fulfilled without question. The not-so-good things: I constantly found myself wanting more flavor out of the food. I ordered my standard«two tacos, beans and rice». The beans were almost flavorless, and the taco meat was.. .monochromatic in flavor. My fiancée ordered a chicken dish that tasted better, but still had little dimension to its seasoning. Nothing really tasted bad here, and all of the food looked delicious, but the cooking here appears to have a seasoning problem. I really wanted to like the food here, but when the rice and the chips and salsa are the best tasting things of your meal, there is a problem. I might want to go back some time, but first, I am going to check out the other Mexican restaurants in the area.
