The Royal Rooster

Beautiful gift shop to find high end nicknacks, decorations, jewelry and home goods. I have come here to buy holiday decorations, hilarious cards, and chutneys. They have lots of inventory to choose from and all is quality. The staff is polite and passionate about what they sell and I am happy to support local business.

This is one of my two favorite gift stores and it is in the tiny town of Clayton. How lucky am I that the only store in my little town is this one! Just Lovely unique gifts, stuff for your home as well as jewelry. The buyers have great taste!

Just had a wonderful experience shopping @Royal Rooster, my sister-in-law’s van broke down around the corner, so we stopped in to pass the time. We found ourselves laughing & smiling & lovin’ everything from aprons to wooden signs. this store is full of gifts for everyone, purses, household décor. I mean really cute stuff! Three employes were offering assistance and extremely nice, (despite the fact we were dressed to crawl under the broken down van) we had fun, bought a few gifts and left with a heart filled with happiness. Do yourself a favor and stop in… at least you’ll leave feeling better. P. S. gotta go back for some dips & sauces!

Boy do I love Unilocal!What would I do without you? Well, I certainly know I probably would have never discovered this Jem of a place without your guidance.
This place is so close to my home, yet I never even heard of it. It’s in the heart of Clayton, right across the street from Skipolinis pizza. This boutique seriously has some extraordinarily unique, absolutely lovely pieces. They also are getting prepared with all their Halloween décor items presented, with a lot of them being just screamingly cute!
This store is quite spacious and is filled to the rim of the ceiling with incredibly charming items. Each little nook and cranny is filled with some little beautiful treat. There is also a fairly decent sized parking lot to the side of the shop, so parking should never be an issue.
I found some really unique accessories here for our home that really added some additional charm without a cookie cutter look. Service was also extremely accommodating and friendly.
They seem to be a little more pricey than similar shops, however, they are items you would have to search high and low to ever find on your own. They also (I believe) do some free gift wrapping for special occasions or holidays (Check with the staff).
Definitely a shop I can add to my favorite boutique’s collection :)

I love this store. It’s not a big store but they have so many nice things. If you’re looking for something for yourself or as a gift for men or women, you should be able to find something here. They have a nice variety of soaps, lotions, and oils. They have accessories (purses, jewelry etc.) for women of all ages. They have choices for wedding gifts, baby gifts, etc. They have items for whatever season it is.
If I lived closer, I’d probably always be in there but whenever i housesit for some friends, this is always a stop I make while out there.

A wonderful store with great gift ideas and home décor. The Halloween items that I just purchased are of great quality and I can’t wait to go back and shop and buy more. I live in Brentwood and I always stop here on my way in to Walnut Creek and Concord to see visit daughters and grandchildren. Can’t wait to see the Xmas Shop for 2012. Ladies are fabulous!

I love this store! The merchandise changes with the seasons and the selection of wonderful home goods is extensive. The Vera Bradley collection is wonderful and the glassware and dishes are great.
The sales are really good too. The Royal Rooster is a great find.

Unique gifts and always a good stock of them. If you are determined to find something «Made in USA,» you will be in luck. If you want shiney, it’s here. If you want beautiful, it’s here. Gifts for any age! Prices well in range to be able to walk out very happy with a special gift or a gorgeous piece for your home! Not the typical multi-​store stuff you see over and over. I love coming in here to browse and spend time with the helpful staff. Owner Sara will even give decorating tips to those of us that are flair-​impaired. Because its a local store, you gotta give it love:)

This store is amazing! I find myself happily wandering and exploring, and always finding new goodies. The owner has amazing taste and style, and has created a haven for housegold, gift, and goody shopping. She carries an awesome selection of Stonewall Kitchen food goodies, as well as Vera Bradley merchandise. There’s much more as well! You’re sure to find unique and lovely jewelry, handbags, and bath products. The staff are so friendly and helpful. Their giftwrapping is wonderful, and makes such a great presentation. This store is a gem!

Really fun and unique store :) I love the friendly staff! I know I can always run in for a cute gift and have it wrapped beautifully. I’m really loving all the different types of gourmet treats!

I LOVE this store. I am in there so much, they know me by name. I shop here for myself, all types of gifts, auction items, etc. They have the cutest stuff.

Most «gift shops» are junk stores to me… but not the Royal Rooster. The goods are tasteful, useful and out of the ordinary. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly. The Rooster has «Elaine’s Toffee» (great for a hostess gift) which is a business owned by a Clayton resident.

The Royal Rooster is the greatest gift shop. I was surprised to find something so stylish, current and modern in Clayton; and it is open most Sundays.
Anyway, the owner is wonderful. She has the best taste and the store is her opportunity to showcase her wonderful taste and we all benefit. The prices are reasonable, too.
Items include great jewelry, handbags, soaps, room fragrance, seasonal items and tableware. The Christmas stuff is amazing.
