Ok I know I said I would not go back. But I did. Was out visiting a friend and needed a gift. Stopped by on Sunday. The place looked very nice and clean. I bought a nice gift. I was greeted when I was there. A much better experience than the time before.

I met Roy of R&M Pool & Patio after buying a small Jacuzzi spa. Now, more than twenty-​five years later, he’s still the one I trust my pool and spa (in-​ground) to. He has NEVER failed to identify the problem and fix it, and I have NEVER been disappointed. It is a wonderful thing knowing someone local I can trust… and I’ve never met a nicer businessman.

We moved to Clayton six months ago and met the family at R&M Pool and Patio just eve fore we moved in. We just cannot say enough about how wonderful it is to work with them. Roy installed all brand new pool equipment for us and we were thrilled we the results, Nicole is always warm, cheerful and helpful when we call or visit the store and we’re very happy with their weekly pool service.
We plan on meeting with Nicole soon to plan our «no-​scape» front yard and we really look forward to the experience.

Have been a customer of R&M Pool for 15+ years. They have excellent customer service. Family owned — honest, efficient — they always go the extra mile. Have gone to them for advice, recommendations, purchasing furniture, pool service, spa service, new spa, solar panels, gardening — they are knowledgeable and helpful. They are amazing!

Took my granddaughter out for a walk today so decided to stop in and check the place out. I had been one time long time ago but hadn’t been in years. We walked in and walked around the gift store for at least 10 minutes. The lady behind the counter was talking to someone who appeared to be another vendor of gift items. We received no acknowledgment at all! Not hello, may I help you or I will be right with you. We left and went out back and never encountered another person in the entire place. I turned around and left after about 15 minutes without a word! I expected more after reading the above reviews and especially from a small-​town business. Obviously they don’t need new customers. I will be heading back to OSH for my garden items Where I met with a friendly hello when I walk in the door!

Wonderful place. The woman who runs the garden store is friendly and very helpful; full of advice if you need it. She always helps me find the best plants, plant food, whatever I need.
OSH down the street may have a larger and more «modern» store, but for garden/​nursery goods, R & M is my first choice. Always a better idea to support the small, local «mom and pop» businesses.

I moved to Clayton three months ago and been to R & M quite a few times for my pool and for the garden.
You can always expect to learn something new. Wonderful family owned business. Honest and ready to give advise, which most of the time is on how to save you money and not just sell you stuff you don’t need.
Nicole is the garden girl that knows Clayton area very well and knows exactly what plants would work for your garden. She even remembers what plants you got in the past!

I just moved to Concord and, for the first time in my life, I have a swimming pool. Since I have no idea how to maintain a swimming pool, within 3 weeks it was cloudy and green and gross. All pool related items leftover from the previous owners were labeled with a store that was not R&M so I went to that store to see what I needed to buy. They were unhelpful and not terribly friendly. What they told me to buy was essentially useless and knowing what I know now, I can’t see how anyone with even the most basic knowledge of pools could have given me the advice I was given.
So the next day I drove an extra few minutes to R& M. Yeah, I’m going here from now on. I spoke with a woman who was beyond nice and helpful. She told me exactly what to do without making me feel stupid. She explained what had happened, how to fix it, and how to keep it from happening in the future. She took the time to answer every single one of my questions, again, without making me feel stupid (which actually would have been fair since the reason my pool was gross was because I was, in fact, stupid.)
A few days later I went back in with my husband because we were still sorting things out and talked to (I think) the owners and they also were extremely nice and helpful. I honestly don’t know why anyone would go anywhere else.

Nichole, The Clayton Pioneer Garden Girl, is one of the best. She knows Clayton from the soils to the climate. Because R & M is a local business they stock plants that will thrive in Clayton. Nichole has given me plant suggestions and the ones we’ve gone with are just right in our garden. Plant pricing is competitive and the advice priceless.

Love R&M Pool. We had used them in the past for a few things, but always opted for Leslie’s because it was closer… no more! We had a bunch of work done on our pool and they did quite a bit of it. They were professional, easy to work with, nice and did a great job. Great customer service. Always knew where we were in the project, what came next and when it was going to happen. Also, very patient with us as we had a lot of quesitons and went there quite frequently with them. Would highly recommend them!

Fantastic, friendly service from a local small business owner who charges fair prices.
One of my pool pump hoses burst on a Friday at noon, spraying water, and draining my pool. I had to shut the system off to avoid losing more water, but there was still a slow leak. I called R&M, and not only did the owner, Roy, come out within the hour to fix the problem, he also recommended and installed a better hose and hose connection system so that the problem I had would not occur again. And he didn’t charge me an arm and a leg for the service call!
I will definitely use R&M again for my future pool needs.

I’m very happy with R&M. Was recommended by my former pool guy over Leslies. You get the family business touch here and they know their stuff! They straightened out my pool situation, provided me with all the chemicals I needed and havent been back for quite some time. At Leslie’s I was in and out of that place every month! Never again…

R & M is a locally owned (R & M are the initials of the husband and wife who own the place) pool and spa supply store. They also carry a nice selection of home décor — mostly outdoor/​garden stuff — as well as patio furniture, outdoor kitchens, etc. They also have a nice selection of garden stuff — plants, mulch, fertilizer and stuff.
What really sets them apart is the staff. Almost all are family members, and they have a real passion for what they do. Plus they are honest about giving you great service. I’ve asked Roy a number of questions about my spa — and he could have just taken my money for a new part. I wouldn’t have known the difference. Instead, Roy took the time to explain what was going on, and how to fix it. I’ve experienced the same type of service from Natalie, who I think is Roy’s daughter in law (she’s the gardening expert).
World class service, and nice — HONEST — people. Although their prices may seem higher than Home Depot, in the end you’ll wind up spending less because you’ll get your problem solved the right way. There are not enough good business people in this world. Roy and Melanie are two of them, and they deserve your business.
