I called about a small bridal bouquet, and explained that my mother had wanted to do my wedding flowers but as my grandmother had a stroke two weeks before the big day, we were now looking for alternatives. Kim completely ignored this(not even, «Oh, I’m so sorry, let’s see what we could do…»), which gave me a bad feeling right away. I told her I just wanted a small bouquet with some reds and/or pinks, and was very flexible as to the exact contents. She offered me a bouquet, with only three types of flowers, no delivery or anything… for $ 95!!! Um, excuse me?! I called a small family business hoping for a little flexibility and home town warmth, and they tried to gouge the heck out of me. When I said that was way too much, she didn’t offer any alternatives, just said, «Okay,» and we hung up. After seeing other reviews on here, I’m just glad I didn’t make the mistake of giving them my money. Two stars is just because the flowers might have been okay… customer service? 0 stars!

Bad experience. This year for Mother’s Day, I wanted to send my mother beautiful flowers to the school where she works. She was retiring this year as well, and I wanted her to feel special. After looking online at pro flowers and discussing it with my husband, we decided to support small business and have a more personal experience. Sounds great in theory, but we were sadly mistaken. I first spoke with Kim regarding my mother’s favorite types of flowers; lilies, gerber daisies and hydrangeas. She explained to me the hydrangeas were very large and would probably not work well for this arrangement, however, the baby green hydrangeas could be used as filler. We discussed pricing around $ 30 knowing it would be a little more for delivery and taxes, and in total, it came out to be $ 40. She even said that she could text me a picture the next morning of the arrangement before they were delivered. Wonderful. This is exactly the type of service I was looking for. I was very pleased at this point(Monday before Mother’s Day). The next morning I was expecting a picture as we had discussed. By noon I had still not heard anything and no one at the shop was answering the phone. Finally when I was able to get through, she said she had taken the picture and had forgotten to send it to me but the flowers were already on their way. No problem… the week of Mother’s Day is very busy, and I am reasonable, especially because that was above and beyond service anyway. When I did receive the picture, I was beyond disappointed. They were droopy, saggy, and not even close to what we had talked about. No gerber daisies, no filler green hydrangeas. Just dead lilies. When I finally talked to her about what happened, she told me that they were very fresh and for the small amount I was paying, they were well worth the price. I couldn’t believe anyone would think they were acceptable, and I would have gladly payed more for something aesthetically pleasing. Not only that, we had talked about what I wanted and what she was willing to do! She would not budge on making it right and replacing anything. When my mother brought them back, she told her that with the flower food, they would last for 2 more weeks. Of course dead, ugly flowers will last forever if you want them to. I was simply devastated that what was shaping up to be such a wonderful experience ended so disappointingly. Lesson learned. Pro-flowers from here on out.
