Fried dry food, nothing special. Good ice cream, that’s about it. Expensive $ 75 for family 4 with one appetizer no dessert. Had chicken sandwich w bacon, bacon was undercooked. Nothing healthy

Since the massive closing, of several locations locally, the remaining restaurants have taken a nose dive in all areas. Getting seated takes way too long, despite many empty tables. Prices skyrocketed even though portions reduced. Unmotivated staff, especially during a busy part of the day. Blatant and constant passing the buck on the cooks. As we exited it was quite obvious that the people on the grill were working VERY hard. Unlike a few waitresses. As I observed three of the waitress’ pace, it appeared as if they had been inhaling ether. Slow would be a compliment. Overall attitude has become complacent.

The employees here actually are THE friendliest people I have ever run across in a restaurant. They are SO nice!.. Friendly’s is well known for standard breakfast items, burgers n’ fries, and of course every form of ice cream. A lot of senior citizens seem to congregate here, and a lot of children are brought for ice cream. The food is standard American with an interesting selection of items, including salmon, chicken tenders, macaroni and cheese with prosciutto, salads, wraps, sandwiches, and of course burgers. Build your own burger(pick one from each category) was currently on the menu. We had a burger and ‘loaded waffle fries’(drenched in yellow cheez sauce) — deemed«very good», a bowl of chicken noodle soup, also«very good». I had fried clams, which frankly were NOT very good, being soft, mooshy, and mostly breading. Coleslaw was good, as were fries. With a bowl of soup, one soft drink, and two entrees, the bill came to about $ 30, a little higher than I expected. I have always liked Friendly’s and the restaurant at the Great Northern Mall has been there since it opened. It was doing pretty good business for a Wednesday evening, maybe because the only other restaurant in the mall had closed some time ago.(Not including the standard food court places. I was interested to see another pizza/pasta place was operating where Sbarro’s used to be.)

The best ice cream sundaes ever. I haven’t had the food in years so I am unable to comment. Out of all the chain ice cream shops, this is the one I wish was in south Florida.
