We stopped at this nice little restaurant on our way to Jesup. I can’t believe it doesn’t have any reviews! If you’re looking for foo foo you won’t find it here. However, if you’re looking for some really good home style cooking with great service you will find that here. They have a nice buffet of southern type foods which most people were having but I felt like a patty melt and it didn’t disappoint.
I’m a people watcher and noticed that a lot of the locals frequent this restaurant. That’s a good thing. It means they know what’s good. Try out Mrs. Rogers. I’m sure you’ll agree.

You must stop at Mrs Rogers Restaurant if you are near Claxton. It is worth the drive off of the 16. We had the lunch buffet. The chicken was fresh and moist! The squash casserole tastes like your gramma would make for Sunday supper. It had five choices for vegetables or was it 6? So delicious. Everyone that worked there was so friendly and helpful. It felt like I was eating with family! Their motto is Real food for real people. Take the detour. You won’t be disappointed.
