I had the patty melt, and my friend had the meat and three sides. The meatloaf was good that he had, and my patty melt was good. The mac & cheese was kraft mac & cheese from a box made with some kind of oil. Yuck.
The mashed potatoes didn’t taste right, and the gravy tasted like it came out of a can.
The cabbage was boiled which was a disappointment.
The atmosphere was friendly and Southern though, so they get a few points for that
I would go again for the hamburger and the meatloaf, but I don’t think I’d ever have that mac & cheese again.

Been eating here for a few years. It is a good place run by good people and popular with locals. Good breakfast, quick and filling lunches and hearty dinners. The prices are low, service is friendly and you can go in your working clothes. She decorates for the season and holiday. Good menu but they will cook what you want if they have it. Comfort food in a comfortable environment.

I just love this place for breakfast! I’d take it over IHOP any old day ;). It is an old Mom and Pop place, but the service is great and the food is wonderful. They cook there where you can watch if you like. The only down side is that there is limited seating on the inside, but there are picnic tables outside as well if the inside is full.
