What a mess this place is. Being owned by TJX Companies(TJ Maxx and Marshalls), I expected this place to nice/cleaner that it actually was. It has the feel of their sister company brands when you walk in, but you’ll find that feeling dissipates rather quickly. Here’s what I noticed: * Poorly organized. Mens, womens and home goods are separated, as they should be. However, sizes are mixed together. I even noticed the employee restocking a rack with everything from Small to Big/Tall…all in the XS section. * Clothes laying on the floor. Did I miss the sign that said«If you don’t want it, just throw it on the floor?» The clothes that eventually made it back on the rack where dirty and disgusting. * Boxes and packaging opened all over the place. I know lazy customers are the prime blame for this one. However, it doesn’t take much for customers and employees to take two seconds to repack and put back on the shelf. Organization is terrible. The place is not busy and a little effort would go a long way. When other stores were busy with their After Christmas sales, I think I could only count 5 other customers in the entire place. The employees aren’t busy and should focus their time and effort on organizing the place I understand how these places obtain their products, but question if they are at all selective with what they acquire. This seems to be the last stop in attempts to sell what wouldn’t sell previously. If you like urban wear from several years ago, you are in luck. However, this is the urban wear(FUBU, Rocawear, etc) that nobody wanted from years ago. Anyone that knows me, knows that I’m not a fashion guru. However, I do know the difference between decent and atrocious. They do have shoes. Like everything else, sizes 6 – 17 are mixed together. Save your time and just don’t look. What’s the point of wasting time rooting through every shoe trying to find your size? I was amazed to find a size 17 shoe that seemed to be an attempt to be a hip hop shoe… painted bright gold with a crown on the foot and pseudo spray paint design on the side. I read that TJX Companies has been closing a decent amount of the AJ Wright stores across the country and wasn’t surprised. Honestly, TJX should cut to the chase and close them all.
