Good food always — place is kind of a dive, but just has good food and drink which really is all you want. Service depends on who your server is, but in the end, its about the food :)

The place is just okay. We used to go there all the time a few years ago and the food was great. Went back for the first time in a while and the food and service has been downgraded. I do not plan on returning.

I’ve lived down the road from the Clarksburg my whole life. The main restaurant burned down in 2010, so they run the place out of what used to be a catering hall. I love the Clarksburg. It’s a total dive bar setting, but the drinks are strong and reasonably priced, the staff is friendly, and the locals are great to hang out with. Plus the food is fantastic. Really. I’ve had meals at the Clarksburg that I would be happy with at a $ 25 – 35 dollar an entrée place. And you can’t go wrong with the staples– any of the burgers or appetizers are fresh and tasty. It’s kind of in the middle of nowhere, but the next time you’re in Millstone, stop by the ‘Burg for a burger and a beer. You’ll be glad you did.

I live in Millstone and used to come to the Clarksburg very often before the fire burned down the main building five years ago. The food is good and the prices are fair for what you get. We have stopped coming here almost completely for one reason. After the fire, we were promised a new Clarksburg to be rebuilt complete with an artist’s rendering and wooden mementos salvaged from the old structure handed out to their loyal customers. Well it’s been five years and no new building with all business still conducted in their«catering» building which was not damaged in the fire. We supported the Clarksburg as loyal customers for many years before AND after the fire, expecting it to be rebuilt based on the owners promises and quite frankly, endured the outbuilding where they continue to do business hoping that we could help them«financially» to rebuild. The catering building really is a «dive» as someone previously stated and we feel betrayed that they are most likely taking the insurance money and running with no «new» Clarksburg built or even any improvements to the dingy catering building. You really have wasted an opportunity to give back to loyal customers and the community who have supported you, but we have given up on waiting for a rebuild and have stopped coming. I’m sure the owners see we are not the only ones. Are you ever going to rebuild???

Our favorite, the beer-battered cod sandwich, is off the menu, but fish and chips based on the same batter is still available, and thank heaven it is. The batter is a heaven of pillowy, tender crispness, but never oily. The cod is plain and fresh. It comes with a sweet and rich coleslaw and potato-chip fries, which were perfectly crispy on our last visit. A new menu addition is the salmon ciabatta sandwich. This is no salmon burger, but a piece of fresh-grilled salmon on a wonderfully fresh ciabatta roll, with onion, cucumber, a little balsamic vinegar and a slice of avocado, and maybe possibly tomato. The salad ingredients weren’t all that exciting but the blue-cheese dressing must have been homemade because it had real, grainy pieces of blue cheese. It was delicious. The only thing about their fish sandwiches is that they’re so jam-packed you might want to use a knife and fork because otherwise the filling spills outside the roll! The staff are friendly and almost lightning swift. A vodka and OJ was twice the size of many others elsewhere and smooth to boot. For a generous sandwich with fries, an entrée of four good-size cod fingers with salad(or it could have been soup) and cole slaw and fries, plus that vodka, it was about $ 35. We haven’t tried the desserts, but last time they sounded delicious, including an apple-berry cobbler. Instead, we went down the way to the farm stand near the tractor store and got a homemade pie for 10 bucks! The Clarksburg Inn is a new favorite.

THEBURGISMYALLTIMEFAVORITERESTAURANTINALLOFNEWJERSEY! People, I swear to you… You will not find a better variety and quality of food anywhere. New things get added to the menu all the time! Of course, it all tastes incredible. And the restaurant itself has such a homey/family vibe to it. The French onion soup= the !! Will blow you away. A killer aray of salads– the cusabi tuna salad is unreal! Super fresh and crisp. Charlie & Nancy(the owners) are some of the most caring, sweet & hardworking people I’ve ever met! They deserve all the business in the world and are really making this place work. The waitresses & bar staff are all hysterical and wonderful at their job, very personable with the customers. I highly recommend you go to the Burg! You will not be disappointed!

Just passing through on our way to New Egypt, and stopped in for lunch on a Sunday afternoon. Never been here before. The food was very good diner-type fare. We had the Sunday«buy one get one free» burger special, and our kids both had the chicken fingers w/fries. The burgers were great! Chix fingers were typical — fine. Would have given 5 Stars, but our table had a few scraps of food hanging around when we arrived, and the table cloth felt sticky. :( Service was very good. Would recommend to other travelers. And can’t understand why all the locals aren’t here taking advantage of the burger special!

Went there last Friday night to have a few drinks with friends. Place closed at 10:45PM! There were six of us and we were spending a lot(shots, margaritas, etc.), but they were more worried about leaving than making money. We were rudely asked to leave, and we went to Jack Baker’s for a few more rounds. Owner wasn’t there, obviously, but the only good things about a dive bar is that usually they are open late and the booze is cheap. Neither is the case with Clarksburg.

Great food and atmosphere! A lil pricey for what you get. Overall, a family oriented place to have dinner and/or drinks!

Have loved this place for years! Great sandwiches, burgers(rolls are fresh as if baked right there), salads(CBI house salad which is fresh mesclun greens, buffalo mozzarella, roasted red pepper, sliced black olives, and cherry tomatoes with a balsamic glaze) and my husband loves the warm crab cake salad, their chicken pot pie’s been a staple for so long, as well as all their bar pies. The buffalo chicken pie is awesome! Tonight had the white florentine pie, fantastic! Owners always walking around and helping if too busy. Some of the best servers ever have worked there for many years. Cannot say enough about this place!

Nice little local place. The historical building burned down and they are currentley using the banquet hall fir dinner. I hope when they rebuild the step it up a little, the area can really use some higher level dining. As far as pub food goes, it’s a good choice if you are in the area.
