Gertrude Hawk is a local chocolate company that people just go crazy for in NEPA. Their specialties are Smidgens, which are just little chocolate shapes, sometimes filled with different things or nuts or whatever. I like the peanut butter milk chocolate ones, and I usually stop here to get Christmas presents(in the winter the Smidgens are Santa Claus shapes!) or hostess gifts. They have a few small samples at the check out counter, but you have to ask for them. The prices are expensive, but I don’t mind paying extra to support a local business. This particular location shares a parking lot with a grocery store and a few other businesses, so finding a parking spot can be hard. If you don’t go here, you can drive up to Dickson City, and there’s one in the Viewmont Mall.
