This is a grungy, run down rest stop. The interior is dimly lit, and smells like grease. They’ve got a Gas Station, little bodega, several tourism desks, a Tim Hortons and an Arby’s. The bathrooms are clean and in working order, but the place overall feels cramped and mazelike. For me, really only worth stopping in if you really need some coffee and if you need to use the bathroom.

Sentimentally my fave rest stop because it’s very close to home. I also like that I used to be able to drive off the thruway here without having to go through the toll booths oh no did I just say that out loud in public I am obviously just kidding. I come to this travel plaza regularly and sometimes not even while using the Thruway. It’s 3 mins drive from my house! There’s a back way in for employees, and all of the local residents use the back way to get to Tim Horton’s since it’s an 8 min drive to the nearest Tim’s which is Main & Sheridan. Unfortunately the Tim’s here is awful though. Even though it’s near my house and even though I like being near it, the prices are higher here than at regular versions of these stores. I was just here about 3 weeks ago and as usual the coffee was unpredictable, and usually bad. So it’s a 2 star from me. The main issue with it for me is that everything is overpriced compared to the same shops if not on the Thruway. The other main issue is that I’m right next to home but have to drive all the way to Transit or Akron and back, to get home.

This stop means I’m almost at my destination. But sometimes I have to stop here anyway to stretch my legs. When that’s the case, I find a 24 hour Tim Horton’s here. There is also an Arbys(Only one on the Thruway I think). Sunoco gas. Tourism desk Gift Shop Seasonal Farmers Market ATM EZPass Clean restrooms. Easy parking. Mile 412 Westbound. Between exits 48A and 49.

Always a favorite stop before hitting the ‘Big B’. Always clean and maintained well. Get your travel brochures here. Travel assistance available during daylight hours. Well-maintained, prices are typical for travel plazas, both for food and fuel.

Tim Horton’s, Arby’s, Sunoco, Gift Shop, and a tourist center. Small rest stop but has a little of everything you might need. Tim Horton’s seems to be a upstate coffee shop and bakery. Very clean restrooms… Really couldn’t ask for more. It’s a rest stop after all.
