Kelkenberg Farm

In stark contrast to Becker Farms which charges you for each activity (and not small charges) Kelkenberg farms is a fantastic value.
As you walk in you can choose to pay $ 10 per person which includes 2 pony rides (for kids) a hayride, a pumpkin you select from the patch and a very up close and personal petting zoo.
The staff is extremely friendly and informative about all of the animals on the farm. A great selection of horses, goats, sheep, pigs, even cattle. Throughout the farm there are lots of activities for the kids to take part in like duck races, corn shucking and even goat milking.
This is a great alternative to some of the more «commercialized» farms in the area. And the homemade donuts were fantastic!

We spent an afternoon here as part of a field trip with my son’d nursery school. A wonderful time was had by all. First, let me start off by saying how absolutely amazing the staff were. All of them. Everyone was so pleasant, kind, informative and just great. For $ 9.50 all of the children got 2 pony rides; a hayride to the pumpkin patch to pick out their pumpkin; a petting area; a corn maze; and a few other activities. Well worth the money — and we didn’t even get a chance to go shopping in their market (but we could smell the freshly made donuts all day).
