Nice setting in a really cute city, good service and AMAZING food. A friend and I split the raviolini and steak and it was so worth it. Not someplace I’d go on a regular basis because it is pricey but it’s perfect for a nice night out.

Do not go here with kids unless you have money to spare… no kids menu although you can order a $ 26 pasta and split it! So you’re paying $ 13 for a kid who wants plain pasta and it’s a tiny portion!!! The food quality is excellent.

I have to start by saying that our server and meals were fantastic. I would definitely go back for the food. I was not happy with the fact that I made reservations two weeks prior for my daughters graduation and we had no reservation even though I had a confirmation. I was most upset when it seemed like a problem for us to be there. Upon arriving I was told we didn’t have a reservation and it was a big deal for them To accommodate is even though there was plenty of room. The hostess and manager made several attempts at blaming their system, open table, the phones didn’t ring.(I had called to let them know we were on our way and had to leave a message.) I’m still very upset about how we seemed to be inconveniencing them by showing up and my daughters graduation celebration was ignored even though they asked if we were celebrating. This is an evening she’ll never get back.

Arrived at 5:00pm on Saturday without a reservation hoping that few diners would prefer this Dining hour. The hostess was very unaccommodating and said that they would soon be very busy and not certain she could seat us. A quick peak at Open Table revealed open Reservations for 5:15, 5:30, 5:45, etc. She begrudgingly assigned us a table at the entrance and not in the dining room. Of course when we left at 6:30, there were plenty of open tables. You don’t need to worry about us not having a reservation again!

Enjoyed Sunday dinner this past weekend. Nice ambiance, good portions and delicious food. We arrived early for our 7pm reservation(6:45) and were told that the kitchen was out of all their specials because«it was a busy evening». An hour later, the dining room was empty except for a handful of folks. For all you folks from big cities, peak dining times in Claremont are vastly different from what you expect, so make an earlier reservation if you want to try the specials. Branzino Acqua Pazza: Pan fried seabass with vegetables. Excellent rendition of one of my favorite types of fish. Well prepared, flavorful, delicious sauce. My only negative comment would be that it was a hair too salty, but I did finish it off. Sausage with Pasta(Mafaldini): Delicious! Ask for the pasta to be done al dente. Sausage was so good. Also just a hair too salty but also cleaned off the plate. Spiced Rum Buttercake with Pecans and Raspberry Sauce: Way too sweet. Overall, we enjoyed our dining experience here, despite the somewhat vigorous salt use. Would definitely return if in the area to try their other options.

Food was excellent!!! The ragu pasta is made w filet mignon trimmings. Bread was fresh. Love the in house cheese they make. I came for lunch. Looking forward to dinner soon. Our server, Stephen was exceptional. Knows his wines well. Great recommendations. Worth every penny.

Came here for a dinner meeting. This place is great! Good size with ample seating, but make reservations on the weekend! Quickly seated and greeted. Service was quick and efficient, drinks were filled seamlessly, appys came out in time, and our privacy was respected. I opted for be Bison steak, med rare. Came out perfectly done and complimented with greens and mushrooms. Great combo. Great experience here, a must try!

Good food, great wine, but not homemade pasta. I usually will only eat pasta at an Italian restaurant if the pasta is homemade. At this price point, I would have liked it to be, but oh well, no pasta for me. They did have a special with a homemade pasta, but it had sausage and I don’t eat pork. However, if you don’t have dietary restrictions and like homemade pasta, like me, then you may luck out and have a couple choices if you go. This place is an intimate setting, so if you are coming at a popular time/night, it would behoove you to make reservations. They are very accommodating. We were 15 minutes early for our reservation at 7:30 p.m. for a party of 6 and they rushed to set our table and we were seated at 7:20 p.m. Even though this is a nice restaurant, I didn’t feel like it was pretentious at all. I always appreciate that. Our waiter was very nice. He stopped by the perfect amount of times to make sure we were doing fine and to refill glasses. My dad is a huge lover of wine. Lucky for him, this place can accommodate that. They have a special wine list that for $ 395 you can get a bottle of the 96 Grange(they have other wines as well). My dad is a huge fan. He bought me an 89 bottle of Grange for my wedding and he has a 94 bottle for my sister(our birth years). We just called ahead to make sure they would bring the bottle in house for us(they store it off site). If you have a wine lover in your family, this is the place to go. Other than the wine, the food was pretty good too. Although the shrimp scampi is on the menu as a la carte, they made my husband a meal out of it by adding linguine when he asked. The sauce was pretty good. Again, the pasta isn’t homemade so I didn’t love the meal, but it was still tasty. I just opted for a brussel sprout salad. I honestly never know what to expect with salads, whether it will be enough for an entrée or not. This one is definitely an appetizer size salad, but since I was also trying everyone else’s meal, I felt like it was the perfect size. It was delicious and I would recommend it to anyone. They bring out bread at the beginning of the meal. It is nice and warm with an olive oil/balsamic vinegar dipping sauce. Definitely snag a piece while it is hot or else it doesn’t taste as good. For dessert I tried the salted caramel pudding that comes with a chocolate ganache layer on top. It is amazing. Seriously, my favorite part of the meal. It is very sweet, so if you don’t like sweet things, stay away. They also brought us out a raspberry sorbet as a palate cleanser. Also exceptionally good. It was very light and pure tasting. Overall, I enjoyed the meal. Definitely a great place to go for a special occasion or when visiting your college student.

Great food, great ambiance and great customer service. They have a great selection of wine. Love their appetizers and the bread. Food is priced just right. If you’re going for a special occasion, I’d suggest you make a reservation, as it tends to get really busy.

Awesome night with family at Tutti Mangia on Saturday! The food was phenomenal! Among other things, the tomahawk steak(shared by a few!) was perfectly cooked, tender and flavorful! The pork belly appetizer with lentils was awesome and not fatty at all. The Corvina sea bass was a stand out too! Service was fantastic too! Rick the GM was friendly and very visible. Our server Alex rocked! And, Chef Jose stopped by to say hello as well. All in all, a great night with awesome food, and fantastic service. We lingered for quite a while and it was nice to not feel rushed away from our table. You get what you pay for, and Tutti’s certainly delivers an amazing experience for the money!

2−1−16: Will not return! Ordered a salad w/blue cheese, was served a salad with vinaigrette. Ordered minestrone soup, was served artichoke soup. Ordered salmon, Sent it back, smelled fishy, not fresh, was covered in salt; the one bite I had was«mealy». Ordered Mexican coffee for dessert and the waitress stated the bartender did not know how to make it. Really, how can you live in SoCal and not know how to make Mexican coffee… Very bad experience.

By far the best scallops I I’ve ever had including those at Dal Rae. Infused with vanilla bean and served on some amazing couscous-delicate says and firm scallops! I brought some first-generation Italian’s here several years back and they thought it was stellar. The sauces are typically wonderful sauces. The downside the waitstaff was beyond slow thank goodness we were rescued by a kind floater who noticed our lack of attention!!! The manager was compensatory, classy, and apologetic-he waitress overly effusive and then again more so.ewww. Guys, how about fewer tables or a larger crew? !!! No reservation on the weekend? Good luck !

We came in for lunch . I ordered the bruschetta which came in the 3 different style, the regular(tomato and onion), hot mushroom and some added sauce and cooked red onion(or somethings of that sort). It was delicious . I then ordered the campallene, which is pasta with mushrooms and all sorts of good stuff, it was also very delicious . The service was excellent and prompt . I enjoyed it very much and so did my colleague that came with me.

I just called this restaurant to order dinner for my mothers birthday after she got off being at work all day. I go to college across the country and decided to call in and place an order for a $ 40 entrée and dessert, which is obviously an extravagant amount of money for a college student. I was put on hold for over 5 minutes and when they finally came back to the line it was a man informing me that I couldn’t order the food over the phone without coming with the card in person. Obviously I couldn’t come with the card in person because I’m across the country. He was extremely rude and unhelpful and didn’t understand at all my situation. I’m a college student ordering dinner for my mother on her birthday. He didn’t explain why I couldn’t use my card over the phone and only said«oh you have to plan ahead for that and in this day and age we need an in person signature.» You think I’m stealing a card to order my mothers birthday dinner or what? Awful customer service — will never be coming to this restaurant.

Good food, decent service, definitely kind of pricey! Located in the heart of old town Claremont, this restaurant is at the corner of the main stretch of shops and restaurant. I parked on the main road at a metered parking spot, pretty easy on a weekday around noon. Came into this restaurant for a work lunch. The interior is old and rustic, dark wood, and looks like it’s been there for a very long time. We sat down and ordered a few appetizers to share. Everything tasted very good. I then ordered a meal portion Quinoa Salad with chicken. Our food didn’t take too long to come out. The salad was actually very tasty and very perfect. The dressing was not too heavy and not too light, tossed well, and dressing was evenly coated onto the veggies. The ingredients tasted fresh and flavorful. Service was ok, we got everything we asked for. The prices were a bit expensive, so be prepared to fork out some greens.

Ughh where do I start with this place… I called this around 6:30 and asked what the wait time was for 2, informing the hostess that I wanted to bring my boyfriend in for his birthday. She kindly assured me she would hold a high top table in the bar area. Excited I told her we’d see her in 30 minutes. We arrived a little after 7:00 and the hostess greeted us and pretty much knew who we were right away, I reminded her it was my boyfriends birthday and we were seated promptly. Awesome. We were offered water approx. 8 minutes after sitting which was a little long for such a small fully staffed restaurant with no wait times and empty tables. About 5 minutes after that our waiter Alex showed up. He asked if we we’re celebrating anything special and I informed him it was my boyfriends birthday. We ordered beers and continued to review the menu. Alex returned with our drinks quite a while later and answered the questions we had regarding the menu although he was very hard to understand so we were still left somewhat confused. Alex left and returned after an additional 15 minutes and My boyfriend ordered the three course meal with the short ribs. I ordered the waygu ribeye with mashed potatoes and Mac and cheese as my sides. Our food came out probably a good 45+ minutes later. Once I saw how delicious it looked I was content with that. But I was wrong I could have had a better ribeye at Friday’s and my boyfriends short ribs tasted like dog food. The mashed potatoes were bland and flavorless and the flavor of the Mac and cheese was over powering. We took maybe 3 – 4 bites each and sat there waiting for service for another 30 – 40 minutes before his dessert came out. A fruit tart that tasted like a microwaved dessert from Costco.(Good but nothing special) 20 minutes passes our waiter passes singing happy birthday to two other tables but never to my boyfriend I felt like an idiot! Here I am saving money to take him out & announcing to everyone that it’s his birthday and he gets stiffed. After waiting for him to come back we just ask for the check 160 $ + 20 $ gratuity for a 2hr 45min visit/wait for food that’s mediocre at best and no recognition of my boyfriend birthday. I’ll definitely be discouraging any family or friends from dining here.

My girl took me here for my bday dinner. Started out great, ordered some beers. The bread was good. I got a 3 course meal and she ordered a wagu ribeye. It looked better than it tastes. My meal tasted like dog food. The salad was good. Desert tasted like something they threw in the microwave from Costco. Mac and cheese was good but I think I clogged an artery after each bite. My grits were good, mashed potatoes were eh. We were gonna go home and seal the deal after a nice expensive dinner but we were here 3 hours and 1 of those house were waiting on the damn bill. So instead we went home and went to sleep. I look forward to never returning. Worse $ 155 dollars plus tip I have ever spent. My girlfriend was so sad that it sucked and everyone else they sang happy birthday to but not me. Poor thing even cleared pics from her phone(she always uses up all her storage) to take a video of them singing happy bday to me but it never came. We left a bit upset, I paid the tab although she tried to because that’s all the money she had to take me out and I felt bad. On another note, we got to hear the older bartender complain about his tips. Stay clear from here, unless you like to blow money then go ahead and eat here.

It’s been about a year since my last review and I am just as pleased today, as I was then. We’re here for Mother’s Day for a 3-course sit-down brunch, which included a wide array of choices from fresh salmon, oysters, brioche, tarts, and salads for appetizers. The main course includd lamb chops, mahi mahi, burgers, lasagna, crab benedict, and various pastas. For dessert, there were cheesecakes, rumcakes, chocolate cakes, fruit sorbet and other sweet pastries. Service was a little lacking from previous experiences, but I won’t complain, as it’s Mothers Day. A took a load of photos, so I hope this suffices in place of words…
