Our experience was definitely out of the ordinary. We waited 45 minutes for our food. When we asked our waitress she blamed it on there only being one person working in the kitchen although we saw a couple tables seated after us get their food and finish eating before our appetizer came. Quality of food was not worth the wait. Don’t suggest going there unless you have nothing else to do that day. Not impressed and will never return to this establishment.

Pleasant surprise, though nothing fancy. Limited menu. Good prices, food done well, fast and pleasant service. We had onion rings and sweet potato fries which were great, corn chowder which was really savory and bacon-y, just too tangy and salt, and grilled smothered chicken(spicy bourbon sauce, cheese, onions, peppers, mushrooms). The side salad and mashed potatos that came with the chicken were decent portions, especially the salad. For dessert I had the creamy chocolate pie, which was so rich it tasted like the inside of a candy bar! Delicious, but would have been a lot better chilled – it was only a tiny bit colder than room temperature. We’ll be back.

OOTO is an interesting case. Sadly it is not nearly as good as it used to be. I used to be part of the family, now it seems like they ignore me while i’m there. The pies are the best pizza in Claremont, and I highly suggest getting the philly with banana peppers. I would not suggest ordering anything that can be pre-done though, because more than likely it will be old. The ziti used to be one of the best things on the menu and my father always got it, but now it tastes like stouffers. Glad it is back in the hands of Jack and Jodi, but I hope it will be as good as it first was when we opened.

Appetizer was delicious however main course was horrible! We ordered 2 taco salads and asked for no olives on both and no banana peppers on the other. Both taco salads came out with olives and banana peppers. There was barely any meat and the dish was mainly all lettuce. Really disappointed because the reviews all seemed decent. Would not recommend this place!

We have been really impressed with this place. We make the drive from Newbury, about 25 – 30 minutes away. Great sandwiches, burgers, and spinach dip so far. Looking forward to trying the pizza and pastas, they look delicious!

I give most restaurants five or six chances. Here is a pretty mixed bag on service, and the food quality is always average, though satisfactory. I can certainly say that the name doesn’t mean anything. Half of the times I’ve been were good, the other half bad. First time, there was a mix-up on a tiny takeout order that took 45 minutes. Fine, it happens. But then on my last visit, it’s very strange to me that a restaurant acts overwhelmed during lunchtime on a Tuesday when I’m the only one there. That time, I got breaded portobello mushrooms first, which were way too salty and I had to throw out later, and as a test I ordered a burger cooked medium; it came back pretty rare, medium-rare if I’m being generous and ignoring such an amateur error, and the bun was cold. Take an extra TWOMINUTES to toast the bun, wouldn’t you? I had to leave it on top of the fries just to get it to room temperature. I’m not the kind to complain till I get a refund; I just write and don’t return. I did mention that the mushrooms were very very salty, and the response was just«were they?» When I brought the check to the counter, the chefs saw and ignored me, and there was a sign to ring a bell that was nowhere to be found. Come here with a group on a busy night, though, and they’ll worship the ground you walk on.

All that I can say is wow! The food is excellent here and the portions are extra large. I had the spaghetti and meatballs and it was awesome.

We waited for over a half-hour for our simple food after ordering(fried fish, chili dogs, and a quesadilla). It appeared that two servers served nine or ten tables, so this didn’t appear to be the bottleneck. If the server had come by to apologize for the wait and let us know when our food would be up, that may have mitigated our impatience. We were actually afraid that our order had been lost. The food was good comfort food, but in the future we’ll eat where we know the service is prompt.

I went there with family and we all ordered different things. The portions are great. The food was awesome and the service. Totally not what you would expect from a pizza place. I would recommend it to anyone that wants more out of a pizza place.

I’ve never had a bad experience here! Always good food, friendly staff and a very clean environment. They take pride in their work and it shows. Pizza is really flavorful and different from what you may get elsewhere(different in a really good way). Also, their wings are wonderful! I had a friend up visiting from Pennsylvania and took her here. We showed up 10 minutes before closing and they were happy to serve us! Our waitress was so pleasant and never once made us feel rushed! Great place! Highly recommend this place for any pizza fan looking for something deliciously different!

I guess it’s a bit of an unfair review, as I haven’t had the chance to eat here, but that’s kind of the issue. Arrived just after 8 on a Saturday night, sat outside, no one came. The restaurant wasn’t very busy & we asked if sitting outside would be ok, they said yes… but oh well. We were trying to catch a movie, so after waiting for 10 minutes for menus, it was destined to be a fast food night. It says they’re open til 9, does the kitchen close at 8?

So I found this little hidden untalked about gem on this website… WOW so glad I did. My mom, sister and I went there yesterday. Waitress was ultra friendly, food came out very quick and WOW such good food. Mom had a small calzone. WOW is was giant. Sis and I had chicken parm grinders with homemade fries. Will go back. Very good and great prices… Only one downfall there was that the heat was on along with the a/c. However, I will not remove one star for this. I did let our waitress know about this. I am hoping that they will fix this. There is a small room right before the bathrooms for family gatherings. Has a couch, comfy chair, table with chairs and a large wall mounted TV. So nice. Will be back soon. Just wish that their menu online was functioning.

Out of the Ordinary is a no-frills restaurant near downtown Claremont. I would give them 5 stars for their fried zucchini alone, but they also provide some of the friendliest table service in the area. Whether dining in or taking out, I’ve enjoyed everything that I’ve ordered from Out of the Ordinary.

For a little nook with a gravel parking lot in the middle of downtown Claremont, this place has more style and cuteness than I thought it would. The name certainly works. I came here for lunch and had yummy barbecue. Be ready for the portions(even my appetizer had a take home box!) The full rack of ribs made my eyes wide, and the cook has an adequate amount of talent. The place had kitschy decorations that weren’t overly gaudy like an Applebee’s or garish like a chili’s, but the atmosphere was that warm sort that those two restaurants are trying to work. The service was definitely above par with a sweet waitress who was swift, kind, and smiling for an 11am lunch hour. The bathrooms were meticulously clean, which is always something that I remember. The prices are reasonable, if not impressive, for the portions served. I’ll be back again when I’m in Claremont.

So there I was, no kidding, driving around Claremont with a couple of buddies trying to decide where to eat a Sunday afternoon meal. After a few minutes of negotiations between the three of us we decided on Out of the Ordinary. The establishment itself is very nice. Decorated nicely, it has a nice ambiance to it. If I had any qualms about this place, it would be its lack of privacy. Many of the tables are in close proximity to each other making any conversation you have a very public affair. Besides that, the restaurant itself is very nice and clean! All three of us decided on getting steak and cheese grinders. They come in two sizes small(7″) and large(11″.) All of us loved our grinders. The steak was not dried out, and the baguette was toasted to perfection. The large was a great size, as I couldn’t finish it, but made a great second meal out of it a few hours later. Overall… good sandwich. The fries were decent, kind of generic, but not horrible. I prefer natural cut fries to those out of a frozen bag but Mick Jagger said it best when he sang, «You can’t always get what you want.» All and all, this is a nice little place to go and eat with your friends or family. The service was very good and so was the food. I would definitely go back
