Got a groupon gift for this place and decided to try it out. Had the quinoa sushi roll, crystal roll and spicy protein burger. Food was great! Really tasty and of course healthy! Will be back for sure

This is a great place to eat and my boyfriend and I have made it our regular date spot. It is nice to have so much variety on the menu so we can both get whatever we are in the mood for. My boyfriend loves italian food which can be hard to find vegan forms at restaurants so he loves the large variety of italian inspired dishes. Would definitely recommend.

The experience was underwhelming. The Avocado & Crispy Seitan Club(13.95) had an unappetizing fishy taste; the ingredients don’t seem fresh or organic in the least bit. It seemed our server may have been sick, as she was blowing her nose at the counter and eating soup– no observable hand washing. This place could be great if they simplified their menu a bit and focused on quality ingredients.

Great selection of food at this location. Loving Hut has different menus depending on the location you go to. This location in particular is one of my faves. Definitely give it a try — all dishes are tasty and the portions are decent.

**Before I start off my review, I’d like to say that I’ve NEVER felt so compelled to write a review– I’ve NEVER received such atrocious service to the point where it has haunted me for weeks on end. First time visiting this place was March of 2015 for my cousin’s birthday; we’d both just transitioned to veganism at the start of the year and this was our first experience at a vegan restaurant. Service was good, considering that there was only one waitress serving our entire family(roughly 10 of us). My family enjoyed the food, but the cost of the bill was a bit pricey, so we didn’t go back until just recently. My two cousins(one vegan, other non-vegan), my brother(non-vegan), and I decided to visit the restaurant since I was craving a slice of cake. Upon entering the restaurant, the waitress didn’t seemed indifferent to our entrance, which immediately made me feel unwelcome. We only planned on ordering a couple desserts to-go, so we anticipated to be no more than a couple minutes, but boy was I wrong. We stood at the counter for approximately 10 minutes making awkward eye contact with the waitress because obviously we had been ready to order, but she continued to run back and forth, assisting other dine-in customers, who had been there less time than us. Finally she came to take my cousin’s order, but with the most annoyed attitude ever asking, «What do you want?» My first cousin ordered a slice of carrot cake and after she’d gotten her order, the waitress proceeded to ignore me and my other cousin while she disappeared to the back of the restaurant. When she returned she still did not take our orders, so we stood waiting for an excruciating 40 minutes waiting for her to return to the register. My mind was blown. I literally could not understand why she didn’t just ring up my cousin and I so we could leave. I grew so impatient because all we were ordering were desserts – which were already prepared– and all she had to do was put them in a to-go box, nothing even had to be baked! I grew weary of waiting for this lady, and so far we had only made ONE order. I felt like we would be there for another eternity just waiting for her to return. I couldn’t understand, I was legitimately perplexed about what we had done to deserve this type of treatment. After fifteen years I FINALLY ordered my slice of chocolate cheesecake, and my cousin proceeded to order a slice of carrot cake. As we were making our way back to the car, my cousin(non-vegan) told us what the waitress had said to her as she was ordering, which was«Are you guys even vegan?!» I was so enraged that this woman would have the audacity to try and treat us differently just because she didn’t deem us worthy enough. As a vegan, I felt COMPLETELY disgusted by her behavior, and even offended that she felt superior simply because she was a waitress in a vegan restaurant. She had no right to harass my cousin, and make her feel inferior. She treated us like scum, as if we were there to beg for food. Regardless of whether or not a customer is vegan, it’s NEVER appropriate to treat them differently solely on that; it drives away anyone who is remotely considering a vegan lifestyle, and only serves to fortify the widespread stereotype that all vegans are dogmatic asshats with their heads up their own ass. We were all so heated that we just drove home without even thinking about looking back. At last we arrived, and my only silver lining was that I had my long awaited slice of cheese cake, but I was horrified when I took a bite of the cake. It tasted EXACTLY like cardboard. If I were blind I would’ve thought it to be a wet piece of cardboard. In closing, I would recommend that you don’t come here unless you like tasteless food and slow ass service. All you’ll get here is a heart attack, but if you’re lucky you’ll just leave with a serious migraine.

The food is excellent here, love the steak rolls and salads. The food definitely makes up for the bad service.

The food was very good, maybe the best place to eat in Claremont. The customer service was also very good.

Amazing food! Very healthy and guilt-free eating. For those of you looking for a healthy meal and in for some clean eating, this one is a good restaurant for you! This was my first time and I will go again! The service was slow but tolerable because I enjoyed the food.

Super happy with this location. My husband and I love Loving Hut, I ordered the creamy cashew pasta and omg. Literally the best meal I think I have ever had. I couldn’t believe how amazing it was. My husband, who is not vegan, was shocked at how good it was also. Super friendly staff, really clean and comfortable. I will be back. Try the creamy cashew pasta, you will not be disappointed!

All dishes need seasoning! We had a Groupon, so we made the drive from Anaheim to try it out. I was excited for vegan cheesesticks, you can’t find that anywhere! Their fancy wording for the tomato sauce it came with meant ketchup. We also tried the chicken sticks. The ranch was in the shape of the tube they squeezed it out of. We shared the avocado soup(needed salt), the tomato & basil pizza(needed garlic) and the burger with fries(pretty decent having the spicy sauce). We finished with the chocolate cheesecake, delish! The place had about 4 – 5 tables and 1 server. She was decent, but seemed very busy and there wasn’t any extra mile service going on. Overall, probably won’t go again since we don’t live anywhere close. All dishes tried needed some added flavor and a little kick to their bland plating. Décor may be nice, but food & service make the place.

For starters we tried the crystal spring rolls, would not recommend these the sauce is over powering and did not care for the texture. Now on to the good stuff, the cashew creamy penne pasta was delicious the mushrooms had a great taste and the protein had good consistency, with a flavorful and not too heavy sauce. The Italian calzone was chopped full of flavor with a rich Daiya cheese and plenty of vegetables. Would definitely recommend this place for a great vegetarian experience!

Loving Hut is located in a closed off plaza(and entrance to Claremont Village) in which you will not be able to see this restaurant from the street. In this closed in plaza, there is also a movie theater, Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf and I Like Pie. Anyways, I came to Loving Hut last Thursday to have lunch with 2 friends. Since one friend brought one of her dogs, we sat outside(there are 4 tables outside that sit 4 people per table. There are also umbrellas on each table). After browsing the menu, I decided to order Quinoa And Mixed Rice Bowl, $ 14.95 prior to tax– I have eaten at the Loving Hut location in Palo Alto(unfortunately it is closed now) so I am not stranger to this restaurant, nor to vegan food(but I am not vegan or vegetarian). I had high hopes for this entrée but was a little disappointed with it. The quinoa and brown rice tasted fine. I also liked the vegetables, but was not a fan of the tempah. It was bland and flavorless. But this entrée(which was a pretty big portion for one person) did come with a side of miso dressing while really helped this dish come together(without it, it is a little bland). But I don’t think I would order this entrée again but would like to try something else for a future visit(the menu offers such a vast selection of choices). Service was good, even though we sat outside. Normally when my husband and I sit outside at an eatery, we are usually forgotten(out of sight, out of mind). But our server was good at bringing out our food, refilling our water and so forth. Overall, had an a– okay experience and would probably come. By the way, the parking options include:(free) street parking or a shaded parking structure.

I came here with my mom after seeing the Loving Hut in Upland is closed until September. She got the mushroom arugula pizza and I got a wrap. The food was good, however the pizza was a little bland. My favorite part was the Dessert, which I had chocolate cheesecake and chocolate cake with whipped cream and chocolate sauce. YUM. This place was more expensive than other Loving Huts I’ve been to and the service was slow so be prepared to wait.

I purchased a Groupon deal and I was so determined to not let another deal expire, I came here right after eating lunch at another place! That’s dedication! It’s located in the charming Claremont Village. It’s in a little center with a theatre, shops and other restaurants. Parking in the structure on the other side of the shopping center is probably best. The walk from the structure to Loving Hut is a rather short one. The décor is modern. Table and booth seating available. Good for groups. We ordered a Vegan Thai Ice Tea and their«Go Green» juice for our starters. We shared the Basil Eggplant Tofu with Mixed Whole Grain Rice for our meal. *Vegan Thai Ice Tea– Good, a little watery though. That should be expected since it’s without milk. *“Go Green” juice– Excellent! Kale, celery, cucumbers and apples mixed up and made into deliciousness. *Basil Eggplant Tofu– Pretty good. The sweet potatoes were undercooked, but aside from that, it was tasty. Service was pretty good. Our server seemed to be manning the fort alone. If I’m in the area, I wouldn’t mind eating here again!

Yikes… I never leave reviews but felt compelled to. The food was way over priced for what you get. I could have gone to veggie grill and gotten fresher food for half the price. I’m pretty sure most of the food is not organic. I ordered the V-sticks(vegan cheese sticks) which tasted good but the«tomato sauce» that came with it was basically ketchup. Then the Asian Gyro… I was going to order the steak and onion sandwich but the server informed me it was a patty of steak which I did not want and suggested the wrap. It came as a Grillers Vegan Morning star patty that was cut up. The wrap was an scallion pancake(a good idea but was so oily it made me wish I just skipped the whole thing since I already had a fried appetizer) So the nail in the coffin was the side of spicy mayo they charged $ 1.95 for. Seems a little excessive. My bill total was $ 25 and with tip came out to almost a $ 30 lunch. I regret driving out of my way for this. Now I hate that I’m giving a vegan restaurant such a bad review because I am grateful there are options in this area but this would probably deter anyone considering veganism on cost alone.

When I first tried Loving Hut years ago I remember a great deal of Asian flavored dishes. Now, majority of what is offered are burgers, pizza and tacos? Perhaps because the location of the spots had influenced the change of menu, as Alhambra(where i first tried loving hut) is def. more Asian populated than Claremont. regardless, we came before the rush hour, but even so there were 1 server and she did everything! The cleaning, the ordering, the set up. EVERYTHING! I almost felt bad enough to want to help seat people for her– i noticed impatient patrons that sat for awhile and left, the short staff really caused them a pretty penny! The food: To my mother and I, it was alright. Small portions and actually quite expensive. The location : The spot is actually a cute little town I discovered randomly and wanted to come back because it seemed so hidden. Parking is free if you park by the packing district across the street.

Good healthy option in Claremont. We came here for lunch armed with a $ 15 for $ 25 groupon. We got the union sushi with portobello fillet $ 9.95, the avocado soup $ 7.95, kale salad $ 13.95, and the wild mushrooms & arugula pizza $ 12.00. It definitely tasted healthier than what we normally eat! The avocado soup was by far the best part of the meal followed by the pizza and the quinoa sushi. I thought the Kale salad was ho-hum perhaps the dressing needed more of a kick but it wasn’t bad. Service was pleasant and attentive. The place is tucked inside by the theater and the cupcake shop facing the beautiful piazza with a fountain and outdoor seating. Parking can be challenging but is plentiful around the block. Remember, it’s inside the block surrounded by Indian Hill on the west, First on the south, and Second street on the north. The restaurant also has an interesting concept of raising capital. If I understood it correctly, customers can basically become part owners of the restaurant if they are so inclined. More information can be found on the menu.

This is one of the nicest Loving Huts I have been to in SoCal. It is situated in a plaza where you can enjoy your meal outside. On a Saturday afternoon, there were people frolicking around the modern water fountains, someone singing and playing the guitar in the background, and cherry blossoms in bloom. Sounds picturesque, doesn’t it? Enough of the surroundings, let’s talk about the food. The menu is pretty extensive with a lot of gluten-free options. I tried the quinoa rolls and the lasagna. The rolls are listed as an appetizer, but it can be considered main course. Quinoa is very filling. Both were solid dishes. The rolls had a tasty spicy mayo like drizzle and ginger dipping sauce that complemented the rolls well. The lasagna tasted like macaroni and cheese with vegetables, delicious. The cheese was very creamy. The commonality between all huts, besides the all white furnishings, are their desserts. They seem to need some improvements. The coconut ice cream was icy, surprisingly for being soy based. The tiramisu had a powdery texture, tasted like it defrosted from the freezer. The chocolate cheesecake was disappointing. It looked so good. I appreciate that they make some of the cream cheese in house. Needless to saw, the food menu is awesome, but you can skip the dessert.
