My bad review is solely on the address someone inputted as being this hikes starting point, the Claremont City Hall… Really!!! After I dragged my baby out(in which we know how complicated that can be) i went by the address thats provided, landing at the city hall i decided to go by the Higginbotham Park as someone noted on their review, Wrong! I went to the park and started walking with my stroller i went west never found the Sycamore trail, oh well!

I don’t really consider this a hike but more of an uphill walk. I was able to get to the«top»(where the wooden benches are) and back down the bottom in around 30 minutes. That’s including occasional breaks for water and pictures. This is a great place to get some cardio in and really work out your booty! But if your not from the area I do not think it is worth the drive to do this trail. I happen to live in the neighborhood so I just walk from my house. The«trail» is dog friendly(not for small dogs though!) I have two yorkies and it was impossible to get them up the steps.

My favorite trail atm. The beginning of this trail is definitely not for zee frail. I’ve started taking this route much more often because of the abundance of lush greenery your surrounded by as you make your way up. View(s) are on point. Once your up the trail sends you off into the woods. Feels like your making your way through some sort of mini sequoia patch! The trail comes with less humans +. Majority of people will head to the other side of Claremont trails where its much more arid/plain. Don’t get me wrong the views are great too, but it’s a boring trail. Sycamore offers off trail paths that lead you into high grass areas. Be careful. Snakes on deck– why would I lie. There are also much more shaded areas to sit down, relax and actually enjoy your time.

I wouldn’t think such beautiful scenery at this time of year. Its such Beautiful day & great work out. I would go back more often since its so close to home &FREE! 2 Small parking lot & Street parking Trail start few spots — In and out, small loop or big huge loop. We take small loop — Thompson Creek Road Trail to Entrance Sycamore Canyon Park to Johnson’s Pasture(Strenuous, Steep slope & Switchbacks. No bicycles or houses allowed on trail) to E Pomello Dr back to Thompson Creek Road Trail. Trail is dogs friendly
