GREATVALUE and it reminds me the ice cream shops on the 60s/70s. Very mom and pop small town feel. everyone was hanging around eating ice cream and talking, very cool little place. Could certainly use more seating but you can always hangout outside on the nice days

Really beautiful caramel apples with fun toppings, customer service was great! But the apples were mushy and old! Really disappointed! Not sure we will be back for apples, maybe ice cream!

They had a huge selection of ice cream and Carmel apples. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We just found this while walking around and will definitely be stopping back again to take care of our sweet tooth cravings.

I got a chocolate covered nutter butter and a chocolate covered Oreo! They were both really good and they didn’t break the bank.

Fun and nostalgic. Quaint little area. Bert & Rocky’s is a bit of a mind escape. Allowing you to retreat and feel young again. The drumstick is an apparent hit. Bert & Rocky’s is nice because it isn’t just an old school feeling it seems a genuine adventure into a business owned with care. Even privately owned businesses sometimes feel big or lacking love. Bert & Rocky’s feels like something mattered when you walked in, like this was a place where you knew the owner and you were contributing to something good. It was a fun and interesting place. It stood out to me as nostalgia in an area that’s being overruled by fads. Bert & Rocky’s might be trendy, but for all the right reasons.

So disappointed by this ice cream shop. The ice cream tasted old. The sweet cream ice cream tasted like butter… and the chocolate dipped banana was stale. On top of that the service was horrible… unfriendly and grumpy. Won’t be returning… ever.

Horrible customer service! The ice cream here always gives my sons the worst gas and stomach discomfort… They have no problems with any other ice cream… They must use super cheap ingredients. Over priced. They only allow small, single size scoops for kids 4-years and younger. Otherwise you HAVE to pay for the larger scoop. You can get a smaller size scoop, but they make you pay the same price. We have given the place several chances. This will be our last.

The best place to go to for dessert if you’re in the area! I like their drumsticks, especially the cherry flavored one. It’s awesome.

Great lazy day place to enjoy. Been under the weather and thought ice cream would help. So many choices, but we split the giant sundae with all of the fixings. We are suppose to be on a diet. Well, maybe tomorrow. Tasty hot fudge, but very chewy Vanilla ice cream was a bit surprising. Something here for every picky eater, even the dieter. Maybe I will be back tomorrow. Fun to people watch and celebrate the winter holidays.

The aroma in this place reminds me of my childhood. Tons of homemade ice cream selections, toppings, and various other items to choose from. Kind of overwhelming to choose when you have so much to pick from. Perfect 4 star rating. Prices are bit high, but ice cream is good. Wretro out

As claremont locals we frequent this place at least once a week! Great ice cream and worth the nostalgic trip but may I make a couple of suggestions? 1. Push your candy. Sell that sweet stuff and other items. Everytime I am there that other half of the counter is dead quiet. 2. Fix that front door! I am not a contractor but that fixture slams a heavy door on to unsuspecting clients. Not a good start for 1st time clients. Love the pecan praline by the way.

drool. my mouth is salivating as i write this review and reminisce about my experience at bert & rocky’s cream company. they have tons of flavors to choose from which is never a complaint to me. i love having ice cream flavor options. i got a medium size cup and got greedy because the max is 3 flavors and i got all three! strawberry cheesecake, black raspberry cheesecake, and tuscany marble which was another variation of cheesecake. all three was pretty bomb. i enjoyed every spoon full of ice cream. overall, service was great. staff were nice and patient. homemade ice cream was bomb. i thought prices and scoop sizes were reasonable. definitely no complaints here! this Unilocaler would totally recommend bert & rocky’s! another 2 thumbs up!!! tips: *allows samples *has a rewards program *cash and credit accepted *indoor and limited outdoor seating *park on the street *they sell other goodies besides ice cream i.e. cake, candy apple, ½ gallon pre packed ice cream, fudge, candy, ice cream sandwich, etc. *3 cup sizes: jr., single, and double *toppings are 95 cent extra for each kind

Get the Drumstick! No really, it is the BEST mix of high quality, super creamy ice cream, rich chocolate and nuts(they use almond and hazelnut, not your average cheap peanut) you will ever get to enjoy! A bit pricey at $ 4.75 but it is huge and worth every penny and calorie! Cute store, you can buy every type of candy, chocolate and sugar loving thing you can think of here. Service was great, I had several samples and loved each one! The flavors are fantastic, I saw several gold medal winners, so they must join contests and do well from what I saw and tasted. Really some of the best ice cream I have had in a long time. My drumstick was filled with blueberry pie which again amazing in every way but not the perfect match for chocolate, cannot wait to come back here!

This is great small town feeling ice cream and fudge shop. It may seem like two different stores, but indeed the same operation. Located on a corner in downtown Claremont, this place has great prices and even better service. There are a few benches outside to sit and enjoy your treat or a few tables inside. The selection of flavors is good and they even have Rum Raisin, a hard to find one. A large is 5 scoops and even though it comes on a cone, they will put it in a cup for you. They will also provide extra cups in case you want to share, but you probably won’t because it is so good!

Downtown Claremont is one of my favorite favorite places to hang out. It has so much charm, cuteness, and originality. The shops and restaurants offer something for everyone, very few of them are major chains, and the old-school vibe, tree-lined streets, independently-owned shops, and quiet charm remind me of old town Pasadena, or somewhere outside of CA. It’s good for shopping, for hanging with friends, and for families. And I’m convinced it was made for dates. If I had been born a man, I would take all of my baes here and they would love it. I sure do. Bert and Rocky’s just adds to that character, and is one of our must-stops when we come here. It feels very mom-and-pop and the service is always sugar sweet. The variety of handmade ice creams is incredible. SOMANYFLAVORS. There is an entire freezer section for chocolate, one for sherbets/frozen yogurts, and one for all the rest. They also make ice cream cakes, ice cream sandwiches, drumsticks, frozen bananas, and other goodies. And that isn’t all! Half the store is dedicated to candy(both housemade and your packaged favorites), caramel apples, and chocolate-dipped errrrrthang you can think of. It’s a sweet tooth heaven. For how high-quality everything is, it’s reasonably priced, too! You can easily get dessert for 2 for under $ 5. On my last visit, I had the Banana Cream Pie and Caramel Cashew flavors, which were delightful. My boyfriend is an ice cream purist and usually goes with cookies and cream and cookie dough, both of which B&R does very well… creamy and rich. Whether you want a classic or something more unique, they have you covered. I love this place!

Ben, Jerry, you know I love you guys, right? The thing is, well… I’ve met someone. Bert. And Rocky… This little ice cream shop is located in Claremont and is one of those ice cream places that has that good ‘ol timey vibe. They have a vast selection of ice cream and sorbet flavors to choose from and you can opt to get them in cones, cups, by the pint, quart as well as several prepackaged sizes. On my first visit I ordered a pint of Debbie’s Double Devil Food Delight(geez, try to say THAT five times fast…) and Cream Cheese Chip. Oh my wow, they were amazing! The ice cream was very creamy and had great taste and the Flavors were excellent. When I finally returned here for a second visit I actually did something I usually do not do– I opted to order sorbet instead of ice cream. That’s right, I went with a pint of their Blue Moon and Watermelon sorbets. It was a hot day and both were rather refreshing. Not only do they offer ice cream and sorbet here, they also advertise ice cream sandwiches and smoothies as well as various candy, beverages, gourmet caramel apples, chocolate dipped sweets and treats, and handmade truffles. While on my first visit I picked up a few truffles to take home, and while they were a touch pricey they were actually pretty good. I would try some again and I WILL try a caramel apple SOMETIME. For me, this place is all about the ice cream. Totes. Portions are pretty good here: A Junior= 2 scoops($ 2.95) A Single= 3 scoops($ 3.75) A Double= 5 scoops($ 4.75). A pint is about $ 5(ish). They also offer drumsticks here using their ice cream. Sweet!(Literally). If you’re in the downtown Claremont area or just want to make a special trip, I definitely recommend Bert and Rocky’s. So stop asking yourself dumb questions like did Bert REALLY leave Ernie for this Rocky guy?(Wait, was Rocky the boxer or the flying squirrel…) and just stop in a be sure to give this place a try! Come on, Ben and Jerry, we can still be friends, right?

SOMANYFLAVORS. I LOVEICECREAM. Dude, they have so many flavors. I had like 10 sample spoons cause there were too many to pick from and the guy behind the counter was like, dude, you can try whatever you want then my face lit up like a Christmas tree. Then I was like last one, I kind of promise. Price: Good! Junior size is $ 2.95 and that’s 2 scooops. If you get it in a waffle cone they give you A LOT. Parking: street-ish. Service: Pretty chill. Pretty much high schooler’s part time job. Food & Drinks: I ended up settling for the Kauai Pie(coffee ice cream w/coconut and chocolate) and a like triple threat chocolate one. I also got almond add-in cause I love me some crunch. Notes: Get the punch card. I think when you buy 12 orders, you get a free jr? Overall: I love ice cream and they have a lot of choices. It wasn’t the best ice cream ever, but they had a ton of different kinds of chocolate. SO I’d come here again if I wanted great selection.

I stopped in at this quaint ice cream and candy shop after seeing some good reviews. There are several small tables inside. It has the feel of an old-time ice cream shop. There are a couple dozen homemade ice cream flavors to choose from. Also available for purchase are a variety of candies and fudge. They have an M&M dispenser area and also sell some old-style candies like pop rocks and wax lips. I ordered a small sized cup of coffee chocolate chip ice cream. They pack a lot into a small cup! The coffee flavor was very robust, just the way I like it. The pieces of chocolate were very rich & chocolately and complimented the coffee flavor well. I would rate this in the top 5 coffee ice creams I’ve ever had. They also offer wafer cones and waffle cones, various toppings and will even make a cookie sandwich with the ice cream of your choice. The staff here were friendly and served with a smile. The store was very clean though there was no restroom.

SOMANYFLAVORS! it’s a little on the heavier, sweeter, creamier side than other ice cream places i’ve tried. but after many taste tests, i finally settled on strawberry shortcake and it was just right. if you like them on facebook you get a free waffle cone or bowl!
