Finally a Dave & Buster’s in the Portland area. Don’t get me wrong, I love Big Al’s but the fact that it’s all the way in Beaverton made it hard to get to. What I like… Plenty of TV’s. Great to watch Sports. Wednesday are half of games Food and drink’s are a little spendy, but you know exactly what you are getting for a D&B.

The games are amazing and fun! But crazy expensive unless it’s half price Wednesday. The problem is the service! It’s is sooooo bad! If you like being ignored, expensive cold food, and being talked down too, then you will love the restaurant area. Sometimes there are upwards of 6 employees gathered around chatting while paying customers are left to wait 20or30 minutes or finally leave because of it. This is a place for gaming and getting a drink or 2. The service is some of worst I have ever encountered in my 32years on this planet. As someone who has been management in food service for almost a decade, this is unacceptable and I would clean the place out and rebuild. Since I have seen many other reviews with the same complaints maybe management should actually read the review’s.

I will start by saying, I love Dave & Buster’s. The games are fun and the late night happy hour(9pm-12am) keeps me coming back. Your bartender Ariel in the Clackamas location is fantastic. She works hard the entire time(multiple times she has helped us) and takes care of all of her customers. She was making sure EVERYONE had what they needed. Whoever cooks at the Clackamas location on Wednesday though is absolutely terrible. D & B, please look into your cooks. Seriously. My friend ordered a rare burger and it came out well done. 3 times. LITERALLY3 times(Wed. Jan 13)! Then again on Wed Jan. 20 when we came back, he orders a rare burger again and it came out medium-well, & I ordered a medium rare burger, and it came out extra well done. We are trying to give you guys the benefit of the doubt. Really trying. The manager on duty(female with reddish hair) was very kind and kept bringing us out new burgers. FINALLY it was right. C’mon guys, I like you all, but I am feeling frustrated with the food situation. It has been other things as well, but the burgers are just unacceptable. I am wondering how many other people are getting the same kind of food. I like D & B, but I can cook a better burger sleeping. I am simply trying to enjoy my days off in there, and it’s like your bartenders and managers are doing damage control with us, and others, because the cooks are lazy. It is embarrassing telling your hard working bartenders that our food is far from right. I feel bad for them. Sorry cooks, especially Wednesday cooks, it’s true. Don’t give me some piece of rotting celery on top of my burger either, because you’re pissed that I am dissatisfied with your inability to cook properly. I am not being a jerk when I send something back, only saying that it is not what I ordered. I’m not a cook, and I can cook amazing meals and can cook to order if I choose. Get it together. This business has a lot of potential, and my personal vote for now, but if this food B.S. continues when I bring friends, I will go on a serious rant with everyone I know, telling them that D & B hires inexperienced cooks and that to never eat there. I hate writing this, but I hope management whips their cooks into shape for laziness. My fries should never be cold, multiple times! Seems pretty standard to not get cold fries! My girlfriend is a manager at a nice restaurant in Portland and she was disgusted with how cold items were when we finally received them. That would never happen at her work. Just being honest. Signed, Dave & Buster’s fan

Two reviews: 1st is for the birthday party. We hosted our 7 year old’s party here. They were very accommodating. It was easy to plan, everything was as expected with one exception: waaaaaay more food than we had planned on. We left with more than half of the food we ordered. Our party was early and the kids had the arcade all to themselves. The food was better than Red Robin but not a 5 star meal(go figure). Our party planner Shannon was 100% on par, the manager that greeted us, Greg, was spectacular! Our server, Miranda, was on top of everything. This is not a «five star» restaurant but this is the best video game/restaurant I have ever been too. This place is a lot of fun!!! 2nd: I don’t think there’s a better sports view in SE. Movie screen size tvs. Children are allowed in the«bar» seating(but not at the bar). I repeat: you can bring your kids here. The TVs are loud(duh) but there are some quieter nooks in the bar. This place is a LOT of fun!!! And the food is not bad either. The hotdog pretzel is great. And you can order a veggie plate too!

I don’t know why everyone is giving it such horrible reviews? Maybe they went when it first open… We went last night for my birthday and our service was great! It was happy hour so we knew there would be a little bit of a wait we got our drinks within 3 – 5 minutes of sitting down. Ordered apps got those with in ten minutes of ordering and only had to wait for our food for about 10 min after the apps came… Our waitress Sheridian was amazing in the bar… My friend ordered another app and she saw it was taking awhile and said she was frustrated with her kitchen, but we were fine waiting… Couple minutes later her manager came over and gave my friend a $ 20 players card for waiting which we weren’t upset or anything! Definitely going back! Good job guys!

Tonight was one of my top 3 worst dining experiences, one of the other being here. My other time about a year ago, I found a piece of GLASS in my blended drink so I never order blended drinks here anymore. At least they comped my bill that time. Tonight started off with one waiter and then another came who took our order after about half an hour waiting. Then they took forever to bring the drinks so we complained. When they brought them, one of the drinks was the wrong order. We had to switch waitresses after this because the other one never came to take our food order. The new waitress(3rd one now) was rude and had no sense of customer service. While waiting another half hour for our food, one bottle was accidentally knocked off the table after being placed close to the edge by the 2nd waitress after serving water. Of course no one came to clean it up so we told them about it. At this point 2 of us had half a drink and I tried to order my 1st of the whole night. Our 3rd waitress told us that«she didn’t feel comfortable» serving us drinks anymore because of agitation of the waitresses and«witnessing» what happened with the bottle falling. Of course this was infuriating as we had barely had one drink or none and waited for ages to get any sort of service. Not to mention they messed up our drink order and salad order(the check also was wrong) and we were infuriated by the poor service which included us having to get the menus, silverware, and plates ourselves! We had 2 different managers to talk to. The 1st one who was in training was helpful and tried to improve our experience. The 2nd main manager one listened to our complaints but said he had to side with his workers when it came to cutting us off. How about siding with the terrible service all night and rude attitudes? He also did not give us any sort of discount(or any reason to come back). The only thing he did was take off our game cards as we wanted to get out of there and the service took so long we didn’t even have time to play. Also, apparently there was a security guard behind us while we talked to the manager ready to kick us out or something. Management clearly doesn’t take the time to listen to the customers or care about them, evidenced by the many complaints on here about the service. I guess the policy is to alienate customers and provide poor service so that they never return.

My first time to Dave and Buster’s was in Irvine, CA and my second time was at this location when they first opened. Being Portland and all, it was fun running into many people that I knew. It’s a great place to hang out with friends. There’s food, drinks, games, prizes… I had a blast both times I went(fun for adults)! Probably not something you would do monthly, but to keep it special, we’ll just go back in another year. Each location has different set up. This location seems to be more dimmed lighting and the restaurant environment is a bit crowded, not too spread out.

Possibly the worst food I have ever had. The steaks were awful, the salads were poured on a plate out of the bag! The service is just as bad as the food is. A lot of busy people doing nothing!

Always fun coming here for the games! Only complaint was that the serving size for the Philly cheese steak was a bit smaller than other locations

Never. I repeat, never come here to eat. The service is beyond slow. Our last visit I decided I would treat my son to a dessert after we finished playing games and we sat and waited for over 20 minutes for a server to even come greet us at our table! They constantly say that they are under staffed which is obviously a regular problem and reflects poorly on the management. The food itself is pretty mediocre, I would put it on par with Applebee’s. So it’s edible and there are a few surprisingly great items on the menu but most of it is ho-hum. Games are why you should be coming here in the first place not food but if you were considering grabbing something after, reconsider and go else where. There are several other, better tasting options right in the area for a far better value and in half the time!

3 stars because the food on the menu never looks like what it is in person. I ordered the nacho for $ 10 and it was just okay. Nothing really wowed me about the food. I had nachos in high school that tasted better than this. Even those expensive nachos at sporting events would taste better than this Another thing I didn’t like was the lack of happy hour menus. I was told I would get $ 2.50 for domestic pints. I ordered a Hefe and was charged $ 4.99. Our waitress told us the only pints on the happy hour menu was coors and bud light. She was really night though and I couldn’t complain about half priced games on a Wednesday. Aside from this I would give the food 2 stars.

Wow. I used to love coming here until I realized how biased this place is. I came for a UFC fight like I have done before and sat at the bar a couple hours before the fight since it always fills up quick. I don’t drink so i ordered food and a soda. l got up once to go to the bathroom and someone attempted to take my seat. I watched as the guy next to me got up and put a napkin over his drink and his seat was saved multiple times by the bartender when people tried to sit there. I asked the bartender and she said i couldn’t do that(I’m guessing because it was a soda with free refills instead of alcohol which can be ordered over again and making them money.) The bartender was skinny with brown hair and a pony tail and a tattoo. Horrible service. Absolutely horrible. I asked the manager to assist and he offered no help and sided with the bartender. He’s a short pudgy guy. Screw this place and i hope they lose money.

Meh. I have experienced better. Service was good. We sat in the bar. My boyfriends mojito was amazing. Appetizers were processed and fried so there’s not much room for error. The burger was completely inedible. The cheese sauce smelled like vomit, the meat was totally unseasoned and gamey tasting. The atmosphere was fun and loud so i’ll probably be back, but i’ll stick to drinks and apps. Skip the entrees!

I don’t know why people have been giving this place bad reviews. We’ve been here 3 or 4 times and each time we have had a great experience. Drinks are always well made(coronaritas! yay!) and the few times we have gotten food, it was better than expected. Games and food are a little overpriced, but I expected that. Our servers have always been great. We normally sit in the bar area, not the restaraunt though. I don’t see this as a place to take younger kids, so the family seating area doesn’t make sense to me unless you have teenagers in your group that can’t sit in the bar.

Can I give zero stars? Average bar food. Terrible service. It wasn’t even half full when we went. A table for 2 shouldn’t be so hard to take care of. We waited over 10 minutes at our table with no one helping us. Waiters constantly walking by us without making eye contact. Finally I stopped a waitress and asked if anyone was waiting our table. Finally someone showed up. We ordered food and drinks. Waited another 20 minutes. My wife’s coffee wasn’t hot. My cheese steak tasted ok but was small. When the waitress finally showed back up I asked for a check. Which we waited and waited for. Finally my wife went to a manager and asked if he would find our check. When we finally left. I told the hostess we would not be back because of the poor service. She said that was fine with her. Typical I guess.

Wildly entertaining describes this Dave & Busters. Just as a beachside boardwalk provides, this place gives plenty of electronic games to play. They are so beautifully modern, with twists on smartphone games such as Cut the Rope and Flappy Birds. There are at least fifty machines, providing rumble according to pretend weather at times. Starting off requires the purchase of a two dollar card, which can later be refilled at their machines. The modern flare of smartphone features and newer franchises, at the utmost, refines this older concept. I loved going here. The machines can be a bit expensive however. Three of their currency means one dollar and games are often 6.8 in their currency. Still, don’t blow your paycheck, but absolutely do not hesitate to shell some money and have yourself a jolly good time. Absolutely, this is money out of proportion to it being just a temporary thrill, but so is eating, yet this is the fancy restaurant of arcades. This place has just puffed lots of new life into Clackamas Town Center.

We went for a friends birthday because it was a good central location that all of our friends could go(some of us are still under age.) Totally overpriced on all counts. I wish it were awesome, because skee-ball + drinking = awesome… but there are other places around town that have video games and beer for more reasonable price. We did get enough tickets to collect a prize, but the prizes are crazy over priced as well, and really cheaply made for the most part(not that I would expect them to be anything else.) We had an ok time, but didn’t stay long because the price of games and drinks there is insane. We will not be back, but we did get some cheap glitter bracelets and a weird«YOLO» chipmunk thing with our tickets… so… yay?

Having been to several D&Bs in other locations I was excited to see them coming to Clackamas. The early reviews were less than enthusiastic which made me pause to give them more time to work out the kinks. The wait was worth it. When I was there, all of the video games worked with only one exception. The place wasn’t jam packed even though we were there on half price Wednesday. While there weren’t a lot of games that I was excited about, the«dome» simulators were more than amazing. There was muzak going in the background but it wasn’t so loud that it was particularly distracting. We decided to eat in the bar — watch the tv’s and stay closer to the main attraction. Service wasn’t bad — our server seemed to have quite a few tables but we didn’t wait long to get our order in and the food came out quickly after that. I had the fish & chips. It was one very large piece of fish — cooked to perfection, crunchy on the outside, flakey on the inside. While I generally like house made potato chips, these weren’t particularly stunning. My buddy got the bbq burger and thought it was very tasty. I asked for a side of the bbq sauce since they brag about their sauce made with Maker’s Mark bourbon and I have to say the sauce was tasty. More smoky /sweet than spicy but a rich combination of flavor that I liked a lot. We arrived about 5:45 and we stayed until a little after 9. It was a good time and we probably spent less than $ 15 ea on the video games. I recommend wednesdays to get the better price. Get there as early as you can — the happy hour deals are pretty decent. I’ll be going back and I’m glad that they opened their location here in Clackamas.
