Went there after a evening of shopping. Main room was busy so we went to the bar. Order drinks. Bar staff was on point! Ordered food, 2 entrees, mine was served cold to me,(CheeseBurger & Fries) as for my date, her«roasted veggies”& Chicken we’re cold to touch. I refused to eat a cold burger. Did not reorder. But I did reorder my dates roasted veggies! She said the chicken was good. I feel they might need a food expeditor, so food does not come out cold to touch. I was not a happy camper. Probably I will not go back. I picked up a burger on the way home instead.

We hadn’t been to a Claim Jumper in about 10 years, and decided to try it. We encountered the following issues: We started our experience by unrolling dirty untensils. These weren’t just a little speck of leftover food dirty, a steak knife was encrusted with food residue that looked like cheese on both sides of the blade, and forks even had residue down to the handles. Extremely gross, but was replaced by the server. Next, I went to the ladies room. I was greeted by a GIGANTIC smear of what appeared to be period blood on the toilet seat in one stall, the other stall was occupied, so I used the handicap stall which had slats of wood missing from the door, creating a privacy issue. Unacceptable. Next, my baked potato was dirty. Like, had not been cleaned– no effort whatsoever. I took one bite, and got a mouth of gritty dirty potato. We stopped eating and left. Disgusting dirty untensils, disgusting dirty bathrooms, and disgusting dirty food! Altogether just disgusting and dirty! You’ve been warned!

I wasn’t sure what to feel from it based on first impression. It’s a nice place, but the menu wasn’t anything what I expected. I had their chicken pot pie which was good for something I haven’t had in forever.

First time I’ve visited in years, so I decided to take my boyfriend here for his 22nd birthday since this place is local to me, and he wanted steak. I called same day in the morning to make a reservation for 2 people at 7pm. Spoke to Maria, and I made sure to triple check that she put in the notes for the server that it was in fact, a birthday, and to please bring dessert out for my man after dinner. We arrived and were told there was a 30 minute wait, but they could get us in within 10 minutes. Fine. We were handed a remote control like pager and sat down. 5 minutes later, the pager goes off, so we stand up and begin heading to the front desk when we were abruptly stopped by the greeting host who said«oh, sorry. I rang the wrong one.» Fine, we sat back down. Waited another 5 minutes or so, and it rang again so we were walked back to our table. I’m grateful they got us a roomy & private booth, since the night was supposed to be romantic. Our server(Juan) immediately came to take our order for drinks, and checked BOTH IDs as I got some wine and my boyfriend ordered a Mai Thai. You think he would have noticed that it was my boyfriend’s birthday since he studied the ID for a good 30 seconds, but no such luck. Our drinks were delivered promptly, which I appreciated, and were also just what we needed. The drinks are probably the only reason I’m rating this a 2 star, and not a 1. For dinner I ordered parmesan crusted chicken on pasta, and my love had the tri tip steak and mashed potatoes. Both dishes, in my opinion, were absolutely REVOLTING. My chicken was served so dry, the knife could barely cut it, and my boyfriend’s steak was way over salted and over peppered. My pasta was the only thing I ate. Then came around Juan to check on us and we decided to get the check. I was then of course, expecting a cupcake with a candle in it to come out to end the evening, and no such luck. I didn’t want to spoil anything, so I paid the check and we left. My boyfriend went outside when he realized he forgotten his leftovers on the table. I went back while he waited, and in the meantime, asked for a manager so I could address the issue. Bruce(manager) came out and talked to me, offering hardly any sympathy, and simply making excuses for his server. Offered to put a cupcake in a box and send us home with it. Then looked on the computer and checked to ensure Maria had endorsed my request for my boyfriend’s birthday(which she did) and again, made further excuses for his server. I realized this place was not worth the effort or the money I had spent(a good $ 70 or more) and declined his less than generous offer. Main point, SAVEYOURSELFTHEMONEYANDGOTOTHERAM. I like it here for its atmosphere at the bar and it’s drinks. The lunch menu is a pretty good deals too. I ordered a steak and it was delicious. It is about $ 28 for a 16oz steak, no complaints there. Service was good as well. I didnt rate five stars because they ruin my friend’s ribs and had to do it again. How can they serve my friend a burned baby back ribs.

It’s a chain restaurant with no surprises good or bad. Generally I only go to these when in a group/party. Service is good, food is fine although generally extremely fatty, prices are high for what you get.

Not really sure how to describe this place. Its a middle of the road for me. Some of the food is good and some not so much. There are alot of choices on their menu but everything is so expensive. Service is good but could be better. It is pretty big inside and big seating areas. They seated my group of two at a big booth for at least six people. Went on a Sunday and saw the breakfast buffet. After looking at the price and the food, it did not look appealing so we decided not to do the buffet. Ordered some calamari for appetizer and was probably the best I have had. It was some meaty calamari steaks and lightly breaded. The roasted tri tip which was $ 17.99 is not worth it. Served with potatoes and vegetables is just such a basic meal. The meat did not cut well and chewy. It was overly peppered and tasted old. Depending on the dish and what you get it can be a hit or miss. I might have to try this place again but my experience so far has been less than par.

We come here every once in a while when we get invited. It’s not my favorite though. Most of the food is really greasy. Last time I ordered the Chinese chicken salad and it was drenched in dressing! The fries are pretty good though and my husband really enjoyed the burger.

Mediocre at best. The cheesy garlic bread while you wait and the calamari appetizer are pretty decent. They messed up on our calzone but noticed the error before we had to say anything, bringing the correct one right away. Our waiter was actually very charming and quick to get drink refills. Servings are sizable so you always have a lunch for the next day. Nothing on the menu that I’d write home about.

Their food is pretty good. I like the Decour of the restaurant. It’s pretty spacious and the food portions are generous. I have tried the ribs, their AHI tuna and their desserts… Too bad they don’t carry prime rib any more or I would go there more often…

Sunday brunch Buffet… An all you can eat selection of endless disappointment. I know better, I really do. Why I keep walking in the door and asking to be subjected to these overpriced, shabbily presented assaults on my person is truly beyond me. I can only remember a very small few exceptions to these buffet quality issues so it is baffling that I keep going back. I think it is in some way a cry for professional help. So, on to the food. Forget finding the food you would expect to get here. The only bar b que are some dried out ribs. You have to ask your server for sauce because having that out doesn’t seem to be part of the plan. Anything that you think will be crispy, isn’t, including croutons on the salad bar. They have three types of dressing available, sadly no labeling to guide you. The bacon is greasy and far from crisp. The French Toast dried out and stale, the chicken nuggets dry and soggy. Ditto for the chicken Parmesan, only this was even tougher, my sadness being greater because I waited for a «fresh» batch to be brought out from the kitchen. A soggy stale éclair and cookie finished off my tragic experience. I wanted to try the apple cobbler but it was too soggy and doughy to even think about ingesting. The service was about what you would expect for a busy day and understaffed facility. When you were able to get their attention, you got what you asked for, just don’t hold your breath waiting for it because the paramedics will have a tough time pushing their way through to you after you pass out. The table was clean, comfortable and roomier than most. Except for the two plates stuck together by some old piece of somewhat chewed meat, the plates on the serving line seemed clean enough. $ 42 for two people, one iced tea. About $ 70 overpriced. By the way, their unsweetened tropical tea is pretty good. Stay away from Sunday brunch, order the tropical tea and maybe you won’t leave feeling sad and somewhat nauseous. So how do you interpret the customer service manager asking to get in touch with you to discuss your experience, then I respond with contact information and never hear back? Is that sort of a «just kidding, we don’t really care about customer service» customer service manager?

My husband and I came here for our first date night in months after being told this place was very good a couple weeks ago. We were not impressed. Food was expensive and did not taste great at all. My husband ordered a Pyramid Hefeweizen and when the waiter brought it to the table he tasted it and said this tastes weird. I tasted it and knew immediately it was not what he ordered. I hate the flavor of beer and it was not a beer, it was some sort of lemon cider. We told the waiter that it was not a Hefeweizen that it was too lemony and cidery and he insisted it was and he watched the girl pour it. Fast forward to tonight, my husband purchased the Pyramid Hefeweizen to see if it was the same. It was NOT. Very disappointed in the service we received and the fact that the waiter questioned my husband when he said his drink was not right and didn’t replace it.

Management dropped the ball. Mother’s Day and you overbook your reservations drastically. Thank you for making me wait with my 3 month old outside for a hour. The mass of hangry(hungry and angry) patrons outside were all thoroughly irritated that the wait was so long. Clearly no tables were saved for reservations and the most irritating thing is they were allowing walk in patrons to eat on the patio which was first come first serve. So… if I made a reservation weeks ago I get seated after an irresponsible person who just walks in off the street? Nice. Well played Claim Jumper for teaching me the value of reservations at your establishment. I’d choose Mother’s Day Brunch at Denny’s over here next year. Fiasco. SNAFU. FUBAR. Thanks, good day!

My last meal in Oregon with the family on the way to PDX every year is usually Claim Jumper. This was my first time at this location. The wait was 30 minutes and the parking lot was packed on a Friday night at 5pm. I wish I got the name of our server. He was top notch. He was there when you needed him, very helpful, and didn’t distract us during our family bonding time. I had the Roasted Tri-Tip with roasted vegetables and the three cheese potato cakes. Everything was fantastic. I loved that the meat was not soggy, which I worry about when something is cooked medium or less. The steak sauce on the plate enhanced the meat and the cheesy potato goodness was perfect. The Tri Tip is a good option if you want steak and don’t want to spend $ 35+ dollars for a primo cut. This place can get expensive, but definitely a lot of bang for your buck. My mom was able to turn her dish into two meals. I was pleasantly surprised at the overall experience and food quality and can’t wait to go back next year.

I love this place. I can order a meal and eat for 3 meals :) We recently went to the Sunday brunch buffet. $ 17.99 for the meal and $ 2.99 for drinks. The drinks include mimosas, sodas, juice, strawberry lemonade(my fave!). I had a bite or 2 of french toast, eggs benedict, bacon, sausage links, baby back ribs, scrambled eggs with country gravy. My spouse also had the biscuits and gravy, pot roast with gravy, quiche, and Krispy Kreme donuts. For the price it was a great deal. Food is well made and the service is, as always, fast, friendly, and on top of it.

We come here once a year for a birthday, and every year we leave shaking our heads. This year we waited about 20 minutes to be seated and then 2 hours to order and receive our food. Our waitress was so sweet and apologetic. We knew it wasn’t her fault. It’s just bad when the manager doesn’t even come over and offer an apology or any type of olive branch. 2 hours!!! My kids were ready for bed by the time dinner got to us. I think this will be our last birthday trip here.

This place is OK, I guess. The whole wait process is terribly disorganized and if you want first come, first serve in the bar, that is even worse. I kind of felt like I was a scavenger hovering around the bar entrance… it could not possibly have made anyone involved comfortable. Food was good but is overshadowed by slow and inconsistent service. This is the second CJ I’ve been to and there always seems to be an issue with service. I’d only come back if I was invited by someone else.

I don’t care what anyone says, I’ve always liked Claim Jumper. They have a huge menu(yes, much like Cheesecake Factory), nice ambiance, and nothing I’ve had here has been horrible. Our waitress was also badass. Top 10 for service, for sure. It’s a chain. So what? Honestly, that would give me ample fuel to not come back if the food or service sucked. But nothing sucks. And their potato cakes are amazing. Just sayin’. Also, their pastalaya isn’t bad.
