I have to hand it to these guys. I thought any banquet hall without windows would look like another typical hotel, but this place has uplights everywhere! When the house lights go down, it looks like a giant nightclub. They also had to adapt to over 200 unexpected guests. With that said, the coordination seemed kaput. For such a big event, I think the venue holds some responsibility for the vendors being all over the place. Who was in charge? Why wasn’t there a sound check to avoid all of the microphone feedback? I don’t know what the contract entailed, but it would be nice to put more effort to uphold elegance in any experience as a whole.
