I have to say that my experience here was a first one. Right away the waitress came to take our order and her demeanor was pleasent and friendly. Then the place turned into a bad dream. We were bypassed by at least 3 groups of customers by the time we started to keep track. The waitress, nor a guy who looked like the cook, ever again acknowledged our presence. Our order was, I believe a very average order, but I would say small because we were just there for a simple light meal before going to a big dinner plan. We waited easily 40 min plus; it was bizarre. The waitress being four feet away never once acknowledged our wait. While other customers that came after us got their order and were served. We just sat there in disbelief!!! We decided not to leave the place only to see how long this craziness will continue. Felt like we had become invisible in this tiny 20 ft space. We are not from the neighborhood but how would they know?

I guess the only good thing I can say was that the food was good. Though it took alot of courage to eat it. The place looks beat down from the outside, but then you go in… beat down even more. But I can’t believe how freaking DIRTY this place is. Dead plants in the windows. Shelves that haven’t been cleaned since Reagan was in office. Really? I can only imagine the nasty that had to be going on in the kitchen. If you let your customers see the dining room all filthy, I’m sure the kitchen is ten times worse. The only reason I ate in this dirt bin was because my friend made me. If you value cleanliness, don’t eat here.

This place has been here a while. Very«hometown» little coffee shop. Serves a good hearty breakfast. Pancakes are good. Omelet a are also good. Haven’t had much else but other things look good on other peoples plates. Waitress is friendly and courteous and efficient. A very good combination.

I’ve been coming here for years as its right down the street from home. The food is hot and delicious, the waitresses are on top of everything, and they’ve got the best attitude! Can sometimes be slow to get your food, but trust me it’s worth the wait. It’s a perfect homey place for when making your own food at home is just too much work. This place is a gem, and I know I’ll continue to eat there for as long as I’m in the area!

The inside is really cool. It’s decked out like a little cabin and reminds me of Tahoe. They have a huge menu and the food is mostly typical diner food. I really like the hashbrowns super tasty. It’s a nice little restaurant to grab your breakfast.

The waitress here is fantastic. She was fast, polite, and kept composure when the rude couple beside us kept nagging her about wanting their food.(«Would you like more coffee?» «No, but we would like our food.» Jeez…) The food is really good. You might have to sit at the counter because this place has very limited space. Getting your food takes a bit because it is packed and there is only 1 – 2 servers. But it’s worth it — be patient people!

This little restaurant has been there all of my life. I remember going as a small child with my grandparents and enjoying the quaintness of the place. For years I wanted to return, but never did. Today I ventured into the restaurant, and the interior is every bit as charming as I remembered, maybe even more than I expected. That said, the waitress, although friendly and perfectly lovely, has to run the entire store, which results in slow service. The food is nothing to write home about, I was a little disappointed. It’s took nearly 45 minutes to get our food and it was below average quality. I love greasy spoons and diners and coffee shops but this one ranks in the lower third in terms of food quality. The owners have a little jewel here if they would just increase the staff a little bit, and increase the quality of the food, it’s a place that I would love to frequent regularly. Charming, quaint and homey.

The food was as expected for a diner atmosphere, but this establishment earned my respect and patronage because of their lovely server Amy. As a manager of my own coffee shop, I am always impressed when I receive superior service, and Amy gave service that stood above many I have encountered in Southern California. She was attentive to all her customers, even sitting down to with an older gentleman who was eating alone to offer him some company while the other patrons enjoyed their meal. That earned her major brownie points for me, but what set her apart was at the end of my meal. My lovely friend and I were trying to catch up but her easily distracted two year old was not having it with the entertainment we provided and placed in front of her. Thinking we may have to end our coffee date early because she was so distracting, Amy showed up with a brand new color book and some crayons, offering she didn’t think we were done chatting and wanted to see if it may help. I would return to this establishment simply because of her. Thank you Amy for being so warm to all those in your service. It was greatly appreciated, and I hope your manager is able to see this.

Four of us were on our way to reno and I initially Unilocaled for an ihop or Dennys but this place came up #1 in our area so we went here instead. I am very happy we did! The staff are some of the nicest people I’ve encountered at a diner/café. They were very sweet, accommodating and patient with their customers. I witnessed a very very finicky(slightly rude) patron but the staff was on point with doing what they needed to do to ensure the customer was comfortable, and with a smile! You don’t see that everyday anymore! My mom wanted the biscuits and gravy but she can’t handle spicy so she asked if the gravy was hot. Although the man explained how it tasted, he proceeded to offer her a sample which was great. She ended up ordering it and enjoyed it very much. I ordered the mini breakfast and it came with two pieces of simple and crispy bacon, an egg that wasn’t very flavorful, and some hashbrowns that I really didn’t care for. The potatoes were mushy and bland like frozen potatoes. Although I’d grade the food as mediocre(3 stars), the staff compensated for the meal with excellent service. My dad ordered the ham and eggs and I was impressed with the ham. Very tasty. For four breakfast meals and three coffees our bill came out to $ 41. Not bad at all! We would have probably spent more had we gone somewhere else. To top it off when I used the restroom(which is located outside of the restaurant) and brought back the key, the lady offered me a wet wipe to wipe my hands. It’s like she read my mind because once I wash my hands I hate touching things like bathroom keys and door knobs because people who don’t wash their hands get their nasty follicles on it. I’m about 85% germaphobe so her gesture sent me soaring. I would definitely recommend stopping in and the venue itself is perfect if you want a quiet, clean, and warm atmosphere. The only reason this isn’t a perfect review is because the food just wasn’t delicious. Worth the price though.

The lodge is amazing for breakfast. It has a real homie comfort feel to it, you seat yourself and don’t feel rushed to leave. All the food is excellent, especially the chicken fried steak and their Belgium waffles and the staff love to joke with you in a very friendly way. Everything is responsibly priced and reall good. I definitely recommend going here for a chill breakfast or lunch.

My boyfriend and I decided to give this place a try. We came in on a random Thursday around 9am. The place wasn’t at all busy, which was nice because there wasn’t the usual 15−30min wait like we normally get when we we go to IHOP, the waitress greater us right away and sat us down with our menu’s pretty quickly. She was very nice and seemed to know all of her regulars. She kept our coffee warm and full and kept conversation short and sweet. It was a nice quiet experience and we really enjoyed it. I recommend anyone to go in and give this place a try! The food was good and the experience was great!

The people are great, the service is awesome. Large portions and did I mention the service is awesome. Oh yeah and the food is great too. It’s like your mom cooked breakfast for me. This is our second time and both times we came here, my girlfriend looked so hot sitting next to me putting things in her mouth. Bring your significant other or family and you will see what I am talking about. Great atmosphere.

Worst service ! We waited over 25 minutes for our food. It never came! Called and whoever answered the phone didn’t seem to concerned with our issue. We will not be going back there ever. Do not go there either folks.

So my wife and I went hwre this morning for breakfast. Greated quickly and given our coffee, we placed our order 5 mil later and after 25 more min still no food. Only about 3 tables were filled and 2 people at the counter. Server was friendly but dang, we were now 35 min in and at this point no food. We left cash for our coffee on the table and left. Sad because it is a nice little friendly looking place but service is terrible! A customer who came in right after us left foe the same reason right before we did. When we called a few min later to let them know why we left the owner could not have cared any less. She said it was weekend servers not the regulars who were slow. Seems more like the cooks are WAY slow. Sad.

This place has a really cool vibe to it, I really dug the log cabin feel/décor. The service was friendly and coffee refills were plentiful. The place has ten tables and they were all full so I figured I was in for legendary breakfast. Ordered the Lodge Combination Omelette(mushroom, white onion, green bell pepper, ham covered with American), Hashbrowns and Biscuit n Gravy. The omelette was nice as the onion, bell pepper and ham had a nice char. The Hashbrowns and BnG were decent. I ate everything and am stuffed and the price was cheap. Decent food and cheap price aren’t a bad combination.

So we visited the Lodge on Sunday and it was the slowest service I have ever seen. The staff was very friendly, but it took 20 minutes once seated just to ask us for our order and then 45 minutes till we got our food. Mind you, only 50% of the tables were filled. There was one point where everyone in the restaurant didn’t have a single plate in front of them and was just waiting for their meal to arrive. The food was over priced and tasted just about as good as denny’s, if not worse. I had to Lodge Omelet and it was made with Kraft cheese… YUCK! The atmosphere is very relaxing and makes you feel like your in a small little town where everyone knows each other and the staff is friendly… Other than that, it has a lot left to be desired…

My name is Pearl Ruby my husband and I come to the lodge every Sunday, we can come in our sweats, shorts, our jammies there’s no judging. The lodge is like a little country bar in the middle of the City. There’s no stuffy hostess waiting to seatseat you, you seat your self and if your regular like us, you seat your self and the waitress will normally acknowledge you with a smile, a wink or a nudge. If you are a regular. she’ll bring you your regular drink, if you’re consistent in your ordering she knows what you eat. I too am a businesswoman, I can appreciate good service, relaxed service, good old fashioned hospitality. If you’re looking for somebody to bark at every time you need something then this is not the place for you. If you’re looking to let your hair down come in read the newspaper, have a cup of coffee a little chat with the local yokel then come on down. And for the future if you’d like a good review talk to somebody who goes there frequently, not somebody who pops in on a whim, on one of the most busiest days and expects special attention. Frequent Lodge custom.

Yunee is the restaurant cook and she is always there 6 days a week. Ask to meet her and you will know why your food is so fantastic and good. Please don’t the décor as it just speaks to the authenticity of a no frills honest to goodness cooking just like ma’s house. Breakfast and brunch all day everyday!!!
