So it was our first time eating here and must say the food might not have been the greatest but the service was above and beyond. They had one guy greeting/waiting on customers as well as cooking all the while trying to restock in between! What this place needs is new management!!! Someone who really gives a shi! about the customers and the quality of food you produce. This poor guy was doing the best he could! He should have never been left alone! If your employee doesn’t show up to work then you need to step up to the plate! Not let your one and only«good» employee sink!!! Thank You KYLE for the great service!!!

Don’t waste your time or money here. One of the few remaining open food court options in Sunrise mall, it appeared to have decent food, and hey — no line! That should have been our first hint. We had to wait a short while before one of the 2 employees came from the back to take our order but no big deal, she was kind and helpful, took our order and money, we thanked her and added a couple dollars to the tip cup that previously held nothing but a few coins’ then we waited for our lunch. There are a variety of garlic, cheese and bacon French fries available but we specifically ordered PLAIN French fries for food allergy reasons. They gave us seasoned fries! The manager«jerk with tattoo on neck guy» said he would not refund our money or make what we ordered. He was very rude and said«most people say no seasoning if that’s what they want». Well we ordered plane fries!

For the high price tag, long wait, and so-so quality of food… I should have waited in the Taco Bell or the China Express line. Unless the other spots in the food court burn down, I will probably NEVER be back.

The cook needs to be retrained or replaced. All I wanted was an order of garlic fries and when I got them they were not cooked thoroughly– in fact, they were partially raw. There is no way I would ever order a meat based product from them considering there are no temperature control measures being followed. It didn’t make me feel better hearing the cashier say the burgers are sometimes served undercooked.

I went from 5 stars to 1 star. this used to be my go to place! I used to get a bacon cheeseburger with fries and a drink for $ 8 and the customer service was awesome! recently I’ve gone back a few times, the girl is slow and is ALWAYS on the phone! Last time I went to get a burger on my lunch break and she leaves a note«be right back» on the counter and goes and gossips with other food court workers while I seen a few other customers go up and wait a little too! She gone for over 45 mins ! And the prices have jacked up instead of the $ 8 I used to pay my meal is now $ 12?! Might as well go to a restaurant!

At one time this place was decent, or so i thought. Wrong now by a long shot. The poor girl behind the counter was so nice but was alone. Even with just my wife and i the food was so slow to come out. The fries were inedible, they were stale and cold. As mentioned the previously frozen beef patty is dry and tough. The club was large and half decent except the $ 10 price tag it is definitely not worth. Sadly not worth even a thought of eating here, enjoy the taco bell even over this place.

Been here multiple times, burgers are flavorless and dry, bread is hard, prices are WAY too high, and the garlic fries are soggy with no real flavor. Let’s bring a good burger joint to the mall, lord knows we need it.

Well, that’s $ 20 I will never see again, for a couple of meals. My little sister did not like her burger(this is someone who likes everything from gourmet burgers to a quarter pounder from McDonald’s). As for me… I ordered the pastrami melt. Let me just say this… Pastrami should not look, smell, or taste like that. The cheese was melted… they got that part right. $ 3 more for fries and a drink. The drinks are free refills… the side of fries looked like a handful given out by a kindergartner who didn’t want to share but the cruel governess forced him to… and the taste of the fries were nothing special. This is the continued degradation of the sunrise mall… particularly its food court. When you have only five restaurants, where two are subway and taco bell, and a third is essentially a panda express cheap knockoff(that’s right… cheaper quality than good ol’ panda), you know your food court is a wasteland devoid of flavor. If you must eat in this mall, the pretzelmaker across from spencer’s is your best bet. Or just keep driving to Roseville Galleria… their food court is actually frequented by people besides senior citizens getting their safe daily walk.

One of the worst fast food restaurants I ever been to in my entire life. I ordered just a plain cheeseburger with garlic fries. It took them a while to make it but when they finally brought it out, I wish they didn’t! It was disgusting. The bun was completely cold, the meat was super, super dry and lukewarm, they cheese could not even melt on it. The fries… Oh my… This places probably ruined garlic fries for me. Imagine cut up potatoes half cooked on a skillet with oil, then a bunch of chopped up canned garlic dumped on top. Awful. So very awful. I took I single bite from a burger and wish I never swallowed it, now worried I might get sick. I complained about the food and they immediately gave me a refund, they didn’t even bother to offer some other food item,(not that I would eat it). They knew that everything there is terrible. I’m pretty sure that people who cook there have absolutely no cooking experience, because if they did, the food would not be so horrible! I was very close to telling people who were in line to not get anything there, now I regret not telling them. Hope they are not sick…

We were at the mall shopping and decided to get something to eat. So after reading the menus in the food court, we decided on DJ’s because the burgers sounded great. While we waited 15 plus minutes for them to cook the food we noticed one of the employees in the back walking around anf talking on her cell phone. She kept walking between the front, rear and grill areas of the restaurant. It wasn’t until she put up our burgers, that we realized that she was the only employee in the back. I kept thinking that someone else must be cooking out food, someone that wasn’t running around the place touching her phone and other objects in the place, and then touching our food without washing her hands. I couldn’t believe that this person had the audacity to be serving food that was potentially contaminated. Needless to say we got our money back and went to In-n-Out.

I work at the mall and ate here today for lunch. Never again! Customer service couldve been way better for sure and the food is overpriced. Fries looked and tasted old/soggy, like other reviewers have said. I ordered the French Burger, a cheeseburger that comes with Au jus… or so I thought. I knew it wouldn’t be good even before my first bite… because the«au jus» dripping off the sandwhich was clear, not brown. It had very little flavor, and I honestly began to wonder if it was just hot water they poured in there. thought the chinese place was bad sometimes, this is worse. save your $$$, subway and taco bell taste better and are both cheaper options. on your way there, when you pass this place, drop a copy of these reviews on the counter. Maybe they can get a clue why there’s never a line, but I doubt management cares. Remember the good old days when Sunrise mall had Sabarros pizza?

This place is horrible, wish I could have given it half a star. The girl taking my order knew nothing about the menu and didnt take initiative to get the answer. We waited a long time for our food and the panini sandwich wasn’t even hot enough to melt the cheese. I wouldn’t waste your time or money at this place!

My fiancé ordered a cheeseburger plain, 10 mins later here it is with everything on it. He asked if they could take care of it and it looks like they scraped the crap off and gave it back. Well then. –__–

I would actually rate this place 3 stars but I’m bumping it up to 4 because I don’t think it deserves the bad rep it’s getting. For mall food there is a bit of a wait but that’s because things are cooked to order here. Chinese food is in tubs, subway and taco bell just needs to be thrown together so waiting for food to be ready is inevitable. I tried a Bacon and Bleu burger and Honey Grilled Chicken sandwich. Both come with fries which I thought they didn’t because it didn’t say so on the menu. I would rate the burger 3.5 stars. The bun was grilled, kind of cool temperature wise, but the bread was soft and held together well. It survived the entire eating experience without getting soggy(one of my pet peeves). The produce, shredded lettuce, tomato, raw onions was fresh, bleu cheese topping generous, bacon still semi-crisp, and patty well seasoned. The chicken sandwich was unremarkable but that could be because I’m a burger fan, not chicken sandwich fan. It tasted healthy enough. The fries were a bit below average. Limp and warm, not crispy hot. Overall they serve a very decent burger. I’d actually rate their burger higher than nationwide freezer meats, squeeze inn and dennys.

Never again! 20 minutes for our order and we were the only customer. The pastrami melt was cold, with one slice of pastrami. Not grilled not melted just a bun and a piece of meat. So not worth the money. She cooked the fries before she started the burger, so they were cold by the time she got around to finishing this burger. Fail.

I stopped here to get a salad to go on my way out of the mall. I’ve passed this place a few times and always wanted to try it since the menu looks good. I ordered a southwestern salad with chicken. It wasn’t busy but it still took 15 minutes to put this salad together. I figured they were grilling my chicken. I get home and there was no chicken in my salad, after I paid the extra $ 2 for it. I wasn’t about to drive all the way back so I let it go. The salad comes in a «crispy» tortilla shell that was, in no way, crispy. It was really just a soggy mess and I can’t imagine it being much crispier 15 minutes earlier. Big deal. I’m eating it for the salad, not the crispy exterior. The fresh ingredients they do use were fresh but they use them sparingly. So for $ 10 I got a handful of romaine, 2 slices of tomato, 2 slices of avocado, 2 sticks of jicama, and about a half can each of corn and black beans. I asked for the dressing on the side and instead of the cilantro lime dressing, I got a thick honey mustard. Maybe the employee was off her game but I won’t be returning to find out.

Every time I go and order food here it seems like they’re always having a staff training day. My orders always have mistakes. This last time I went was the worst. It took me 30 mins to get my food. Really??? You’re at the mall and it’s supposed to be quick and easy. They had to make one of the burgers THREE times! The manager kept blaming the new kid in the back. After finally getting my food I opened the carton of garlic fries and they where soaked with oil and very mushy. Upset by this I went back to have them redone and asked for my money back. Again the manager blamed the new kid in the back. Then on top of that she could not even figure out how to work the register to refund me my money so she had to give it back in cash rather than back onto the card. How frustrating!!!

I have a mixed review. Honestly the only reason I ended up here is because of a groupon deal. For what I paid groupon($ 10)… yep, it was a rather stellar deal. The service… honestly if it wasn’t for the new girl trying… I’d give it a 1. They were way understaffed, 2 people and one of them it was their 5th day. The girl that was new I would give a 5 just for her attempt to be kind and help out. It seemed a lot of confusion on what the groupon deal actually was. After ordering it… it was a pretty long wait… especially considering I didn’t see another person order before or after us. The only redeeming factor… the food was a pretty solid 3.5 –4. Not out of this world, but definitely VERYGOOD. I had a club burger. It was a burger with ham and bacon, onions, lettuce tomato, then I ordered cheddar bacon fries on the side. They were only $ 0.30 more than normal fries. Definitely worth it! My fiancé got a Kahuna burger, burger w/sliced ham, grilled pineapple, sweet teriyaki sauce. She loved it. She got garlic fries on the side… again, only $ 0.30 more than normal fries, not the best I’ve had but pretty decent. Worth the little extra. In short… I wouldn’t travel out of the way to go here… but if you are just chilling in the mall… GO to Red Lobster or Buffalo Wild WIngs across the street. Hahaha, but seriously if you have a groupon deal… or you are at the mall and picking from the food there, give it a try.

I used to work in the mall, in fact, I’ve worked in nearly every mall in the Sacramento area, so I KNOW what mall food is… this is no different. I was out shopping with my sister today and we were planning on having a light lunch while we were out. In order to save time and a bit of cash we decided to hit up the food court Subway and get a couple of sandwiches. However, I saw that this place had finally opened, and in the spirit of supporting new stores and this like at this neighborhood mall, we decided that we would give it a try… mistake. The menu had great items listed, from burgers to salads and sandwiches. My sister opted for the Californian, a veggie sandwich with sprouts and lettuce, tomatoes and mushrooms on wheat bread. I chose the Turkeycado sandwich which came with sprouts, lettuce, tomatoes, avocado and turkey on a nice french roll. My sister went with the combo meal, $ 1.99 on top of the $ 6.99 for just the sandwich, which included fries and a drink. I, for $ 1.79 more, wanted just the drink. We waited probably about 5 minutes, great waiting time for the food court, especially if you’re an employee there with only a 30 minute lunch time. When I picked up the trays, both had fries. Ok, I’ll live. Everybody loves free fries. As I snapped pics of our food, like I always do for Unilocal!,my sister realized that her Californian had no sprouts. Apparently, mine ran away as well, as my Turkeycado seemed to be sprout free. They were good sandwiches, don’t get me wrong. But for the price, the missing ingredients, the watered down soda and the over cooked free fries, we both thought that our lunch experience would have been better… had we gone to Subway. I don’t think I’ll be back to even try the rest of the menu. I do hope their restaurant improves though. It’s great to see more options in this food court that used to only have pizza and knock off panda express along side cinnabon and orange julius. Good luck Dj’s, I hope you find my missing sprouts.
