Capital Tree Service

We have many old oak trees on our property — many needed to have dead branches removed, and we had two that needed to be removed as they had died a few years ago. There was a lot of trimming to be done on other trees on our property, and we had a huge redwood that needed to be removed due to being too close to our house. This was a huge job. We checked the State Contractor website and ensured that their bond was current. The owner arrived promptly to give us an estimate. Price was very reasonable (not the lowest, but they were one of the lower ones we received). The owner’s knowledge and details of how they would perform this job was one of the main reasons (that and current license and bond) that we hired them. They arrived when they said they would arrive, respected our property, finished when they said they would, cleaned up REALLY WELL. Did a GREAT JOB! We also discovered that our HOA hired them for tree trimming of oaks in our neighborhood common area and that they were also very pleased. We will not hesitate to hire this company in the future. Personnel very polite, easy to work with. We’re very happy with their work.

When we first got our estimation from them, this company was polite and friendly. Their price was reasonably priced. Even though we found cheaper, we decided to hire this company because they seemed to know what they were doing. They arrived on time and did their job. We paid them promptly, and we thought we were done.
Then, we noticed things that Capital Tree Service should have told us. We didn’t mind the shoots from the roots of the dead trees coming back where we had to take them out as we see them. What really is alarming is how they cut into our irrigation line and didn’t say one word about it despite how obvious it was cut. Water wasn’t getting to a large area of our backyard. Water was actually being wasted just sprouting from this cut line. If we had caught it later, maybe our whole backyard could have died.
I understand that it may be hard to see the water lines or to avoid it. But if you know you did it, the very least you can do is tell the homeowner. Not just pocket the money and run.
I won’t be using this company again.

We had a massive pecan tree in the back yard that hung over our house and the neighbors house. It also had several branches hanging over power lines making it a challenge to take down safely. Due to the difficulty and dangers involved in taking this tree down we wanted to make sure that the tree service was licensed and insured. We also had a pretty tight budget to work with.
We probably talked to at least 10 different tree services all claiming to be licensed and insured and found that most of them were liars!!! We would agree on a price and then once I asked for proof of insurance I would never hear from them again. Most of these people will lie to your face and are just hoping that you wont ask for proof.
We were almost ready to give up on this tree removal when we found Brad with Capital Tree Service. He gave us a great price and he actually emailed me a copy of his insurance. He did exactly what he said he would. He and his team took down this beast of a tree without damaging anything. They cleaned up all of the branches and leaves leaving our yard very tidy. They were a fraction of the price of some of the other top rated larger services here on Unilocal (I got quotes from them too). Save yourself some trouble and give them a call.
