Very small breakfast menu and very slow service and over priced and the food was bad.

Breakfast is bad and way over priced. Asked for omelet with bacon, cheese, and small amount of onions and peppers. Was served slightly warm with no peppers and a lot of raw onions. OMG!

Had breakfast here with a friend who is a «regular.» I love diners, so I was predisposed to like it. Had the Greek omelet which was delicious and generous. Service was fast, but we were there mid-morning on a weekday, so it wasn’t busy. My only disappointment was no corned beef hash on the breakfast menu.

Awesome breakfast food. Maybe by nj standards it’s average, I don’t know. However for those of us who don’t live in nj this is amazing. As someone who grew up in nj and left a long time ago, it reminds me why a jersey diner breakfast is far superior to breakfasts in most other states.

Apparently Hathaway’s has change a bit since the last time I was there. The diner part now only serves breakfast and lunch and the lounge part serves lunch and dinner. I was there for dinner. To get into the lounge, you have to climb a flight of stairs. I have a feeling they will loose a bit of business from the old folks and handicaped people who used to frequent Hathaway’s diner. The lounge is a nice place with a large bar off of the back wall and booths along the walls. Three TVs are on behind the bar. I found the prices in the lounge are quite high. No entrees below $ 20. I ordered the Shrimp Santorini. It came with soup, Manhattan Clam Chowder. The chowder was good but a bit salty. The Shrimp Santorini was ok. Needed some spices but you get lots of shrimp. It was also pricy. $ 22 was a bit high. I’ve had better for about $ 15 at other diners. So if you don’t mind the extra cost and the climb, go to Hathaway’s.

Had breakfast today. Food was average, nothing spectacular but nothing to complain about either if I was in the area and needed some diner food I would probably go again.

Best pancakes and best scrapple ive ever had anywhere. Everything is real fresh. The atmosphere is very dingy and outdated though. Very retro diner

Decent diner fare and reasonable prices. No complaints about my usual real butter and Splenda gripes, they offer both. One thing I found kind of odd was how they were advertising so strongly for their sister restaurant in the back, Sweetwater. it just felt odd. Other than that, good stuff.

This place seems to cut every corner possible. This diner is very close to my house, but we choose to go elsewhere now because of the poor quality. Brown lettuce, super thick flour based soups, improper seasoning or no seasoning. Worst offense is their wing sauce. I figured I’d try something bar-ish since they’re trying to be a bar now. The buffalo tenders were extremely mushy. Like microwaved frozen chicken tenders. Then the sauce tasted like salt and vinegar. Completely inedible. Then the waitress noticed that I only ate 1 bite and failed to ask if there was anything wrong with them. Many disappointing experiences…

You know, it took me twenty-two years to visit the most popular diner in my hometown. But I was definitely pleased with my experience. I ordered a chicken salad sandwich– it contained a perfect chicken to mayo ratio and the chicken was in manageable chunks. My companion’s omelet was enormous and was filled with bacon– it looked quite unhealthy, but she seemed pleased with it. I’ll definitely have to return. Good service and good diner food=happy me.

Visited restaurant late last Saturday after long day of driving. A real treat. Though I’d never been there before was treated like we were the best customers they’d ever had. Lot of attention and excitement over a very fairly priced menu. I don’t get that in places that cost three times the price. Food was what you’d expect at the price point but in every instance with a nice twist. whether the choice of roll on the steak sandwich or salad ingredients. Nice beer selection as well. Look forward to returning.

Three stars goes to the combo breakfast because the pancakes and french toast were very good. They lost a star because I asked for eggs that are not wet or oily, and guess what I got. Wet oily eggs-gee whiz! The décor was ok, tables were clean and the staff was ok(although I was asked if I wanted the eggs wrapped up — NOT!!) I would go again though.

Had their chowder here recently and must say you could stand a spoon up in this cement like glue, it was easily some of the worst chowder I ever had. The Pastrami Reuben was OK and worth a star or two. I think the owners hold on for the real estate value, some time soon I’m sure a Walgreen’s will come along.

Diner turned trendy restaurant/bar in Cinnaminson. Will it work? The back of the diner has been transformed to a cool space with stone and mirrors and TVs. There’s a back patio that is nice on those warmer evenings(or for you smokers that need a puff). Based on décor the new space is inviting, warm and welcoming and the new staff, like delightful Cathy, are engaging and efficient. Still too new to rate fully, can the facelift pack ‘em in here in C-town? Will the faithful bypass the divey Jug, Whistler’s or Ott’s for upscale digs? Did the diner menu get an upgrade with the décor? Stay tuned for more on the food.

I love their breakfast! I always order the sausage omelette and a short stack of pancakes! Absolutely yummy! :) And let me add this, I was totally fascinated with the fish tank!

No, NJ does not have great diners. NJ just got a rep for all its many diners. Big difference. Ever watched Diners, Drive-ins, & Dives? Know how most of them have some signature dish or dishes? This is a-typical of NJ diners! New Jersey diners are formulaic and potentially coma-inducing! Now that this myth has been disspelled by my expertise, let’s commence with talking about Hathaway’s in particular – or Club Hathaway’s as my coworker and I jokingly refer to it. Why? Because now there is a bar. Why? We’re not sure. Do people go there? I suspect. some do. Why? I’m not sure. But Hathaway’s is fine. The wait staff has always been nice when I’ve come, usually during lunch. And I dig the big fish in the tank up front. Oh, that’s not a legitimate compliment? Well, the spinach dip here is as yet unmatched, not even by the local farmer who sells his homemade version at the Collingswood Farmers Market. So. There you go. Additionally, the specials for lunch are pretty decent. I’m not a huge fan of their split pea soup, but the lentil soup is awesome. And the turkey lunch with stuffing is not dry but in fact flavorful and well-portioned. I’ve never felt sick after eating at Hathaway’s.

Wife and I went to Hathaway’s today. Highly Disappointed. After waiting for 15 Minutes for a seat we were greeted by Bill our waiter. We shared with that we were ready to order. His response was They were in the middle of waiting on a party of 40 and that it didn’t matter that we were ready to order we weren’t going to get our food anytime soon due to the large party. Well All I have to say is if a Diner can’t multitask on a Sunday and serve more than one party at a time Houston You have a problem! When we finally got the food we noticed there’s no Ketchup bottles on the table. Bill ended up bringing Soufflé cups full of ketchup. I guess things have gotten so bad at Hathaway’s they are now beginning to ration Ketchup. Next time we decide to go out to breakfast I will take my business some where else.

I would have to agree last reviewer, New Jersey is known for diners. What sets you apart from all others, this one does not. It lacks all the Above. When I worked close by, one of my coworker & I went there. It was Awful, I’m being nice, horrific. Tasted like straight out of a can, soup, if you get breakfast, its OK, but Everything else, sucks! Nothing, nothing other then it being somewhat clean sets it apart. Bland food, not economical at that .Take your money, go another 2 miles to Harvest .or my favorite Mastoris, or Ponzio’s in Cherry Hill.
