Alpha Dental Associates

Although this rating hasn’t changed, the level of dental work that I’ve now experienced at Alpha Dental has, so I thought it was time for an update in order for people with actual dental problems to also have a point of reference. Alpha Dental is still the same great and friendly place, and now I can say that I have had a dental problem that got fixed instead of just reviewing the annual cleaning and check-​up.
Here’s the story: I was terrified. I chipped my front tooth (long story) and I thought I was going to have an ugly smile forever. And it all happened the week before Halloween!
But I called Alpha Dental and got an afternoon appointment within a couple of days. I followed the dental assistant to the room on the right (those are the rooms for people who have to get broken teeth fixed go. Turns out the rooms on the left are just for cleanings). Dr Reisner came in and checked out the tooth. He was careful and poked around a lot, took a lot of pictures, and finally had the dental assistant do an X-​ray. He then told me all about what was wrong and how he wanted to fix it. He was super clear and calm and he made me laugh (which was good because I was super nervous). It only about ten minutes in the chair with him and dental assistant, and my tooth was rebuilt and well-​shaped and pretty much as good as new.
He gave me a couple of warnings/​tips once he put the corner back on, and now I’m off having a good time again! So once again, Alpha Dental has come through. Well-​deserved five stars.

My last review for Alpha Dental wasn’t that long ago, but there are a couple new things worth noting:
I previously whined about their appointment confirmation system. Problem solved– they now use a text system that I find ultra convenient.
Also, I recently brought my almost-​2-​but-​with-​lots-​of-​teeth daughter for her first dental check up. AD’s new pediatric area has familiar Disney character murals on the walls and they were playing a movie that adequately distracted my kid while she got her bib and safety shades. She started screaming and trying to wiggle away as soon as Dr. Hamid put the electric toothbrush in, but he remained patient, calm, and tried to soothe her during her quick clean and foamy fluoride application. As soon as he was finished, she was given a sticker and a prize, calmed right down, and asked to go back to the waiting room to play with the Duplo table. The experience around the scary cleaning part was so positive for her, she still asks to go back to the dentist.

I just went here on my birthday, so you KNOW its a good dentist.
I love this place. My mother was the one who informed me about the place, and mother always knows best. I have never had a problem with them and the staff is very nice, they know the true meaning of customer service. You don’t see that often.
