This was my first time running this race and I ran the 5k portion. Great course, mostly flat. My only complaint would be to have walkers/strollers in the back, when you are running it was difficult to get around people walking and pushing strollers.

The Zero Prostate Cancer 5k/10k is a yearly event benefiting a foundation specializing in prostate cancer research and treatment. A portion of local funds(I believe 50%) stay local. The event was located at the Urology Group office in Norwood. There were many vendors present and some had giveaways. Raffle tickets were available for purchase and the raffle baskets were quite nice. For runners and walkers the route was relatively flat. All types of participants were present including competitive runners and walkers, as well as non competitive runners and walkers. There were many strollers. Participants primarily wore blue for prostate cancer and there were many participants who were there to honor someone in particular. The standard post race fare of bananas and water were available as well as multiple food trucks with items available for purchase. This is a great family event for a great cause. For those who would rather sleep in– this is an option to register as well with a special t-shirt.
