White Castle

This is your normal White Castle despite the name «System Inc.» But I just want to say that I kinda love this place! Especially this location.
My dad grew up near Dayton and, once they moved to Northeast Ohio, his family became the ones who visited family in Southern Ohio and hauled back cases of burgers to freeze. The first couple times I had it, I wasn’t impressed. I mean, they are greasy. They are kind of gross and honestly, the burger meat oddly reminds me of goetta (though everone says I’m insane).
Anyways, I lived across the street from here for close to a year. It was close, it was cheap, it was 24 hours. And apparently it’s an addiction. It grows on you and now, I really like it.
The other thing I love about this White Castle? The people. It seems to be very well run. I’ve been there when the manager was working and was surprised (having held my share of crap food service jobs) at how well he treated his employees. The employees, in turn, seem to be fairly happy with their jobs. It’s never the fastest service but they are always friendly. There’s also a hilarious group of regulars that never seem to leave and gossip about Northside.
Important note: if you want to wait, they will ALWAYS make you a fresh breakfast sandwich with a fresh egg.
