Really should be better considering there were 3 times more staff than customers. Everyone was distracted(must have been between shifts) and did not get orders right. Also, can customers get an itemized bill? It’s a pain trying to figure out where these stupid add-ons came from.

Very nice lady took care of us tonight. I’m always a fan of Waffle House when I want some quick eggs and hash browns. But our waitress tonight was very attentive to the fact that I was pregnant and was just very sweet! I love seeing people like that in customer service! Wish I would have found out her name, Thankyou!

Not your Mamma’s Waffle House! This location, right on the main drag by UC’s campus, has all of the greasy diner charm that we love about WH, but none of the truck stop sketchiness that we hate. The food here is just as good as anywhere else, and the service just as prompt. Our waitress may have been new, or may have just been having an off-day, but she was sweet and made up for it with her eagerness and attentiveness. The crowd was a good mix of college kids and locals, and we could tell there were a few regulars. If you live nearby and need a quick, cheap hangover breakfast — this is your spot!

5 stars!!! I had the pecan chicken salad from here and it was phenomenal. The chicken was so fresh as well as the romaine. The service was excellent and the prices were the icing on the cake.

I love Waffle House; however, worst experience ever at a Waffle House. It was slow and it took us 10 minutes to get service. 5 employees came by and asked if we have been helped. Each time we said no but still no one took our order. Finally when we got our order taken it came out wrong. Also, our silverware was dirty. Not just water spots but dirty. When they replaced the silver they put the dirty silverware back in the clean box to be handed out again. I had to ask multiple times to get more coffee. Also, the other tables were empty the entire time we were there but never got cleaned. It was so gross. I was so excited they put a Waffle House in Clifton; however now I’ll never be back. I’d rather drive to the one in fields ertle.

I’ve been here a few times and for the most part, I am seated quickly and then shortly after receive a steaming plate of whatever greasy food I was craving. Then again, I haven’t been there past 1am on a Friday or Saturday yet so I’m sure the wait is considerably longer then. The food is decent, but it is Waffle House so it’s not like you come in here expecting gourmet food. The last time I was there the service was very slow and took forever to get even a coffee. Basically, it’s kind of a crap shoot about how your experience will go.

Even the best Waffle house is still an awful house. Okay, we’ve all had a meal at this place and whoever hasn’t must have an aversion to the late night munchies. Whether you are tilted, phased, lit, or plain wasted, you will find your way to this place and gobble up all they have to offer — and it will be stupendous. If you do not follow those requirements to be here, I cannot help you. So for those that want to get down on some big tubs of butter on waffles with grits, cheese, sausage, eggs and toast, you came to the right place. Stumble over to a bench and order it all, cause what you can keep down will help tomorrow. The other customers might get loud and boisterous, but it won’t matter when your face is buried in a plateful of late night delight. Cram it in your cram-hole because calories you don’t remember don’t count.

It’s my own fault for coming here because I wanted to check out somewhere new, but overall my experience was just OK. We wondered up to this Waffle House as it is surrounded by all things shiny and new at U-Square. My boyfriend warned me, «Now this is not going to be the Waffle House you love. The griddle won’t be 1,000 years old, and reek of delicious grease.» While knowing this is true, I still wanted to go. What we ordered: — Western Omelette: never thought I’d say this, but it was WAY undercooked. There were parts in the middle that were runny. Gross. — Waffle: less fluffly and smaller than the old school ones. I actually liked it better. — Cheeseburger: Simple. American. Classic. Was a crispy, greasy, butter grilled bun burg and it was fabulous. — Hashbrowns: They were undercooked and smothered in this fake yellow buttery slop that I think they spread on the griddle to cook them in. Not good. Overall, I think this grill needs a lot more years and so do the waitresses. No one called me hun the entire time we were there WTF?! My advice, play it safe and get a waffle for now.

I am quite pleased they finally put a Waffle house near the UC area it is definitely a nice touch. The food was quite delicious and the service was terrific! The place was sparkling and clean which was also a very, very nice touch compared to other waffle houses. The only thing that surprised me was it seemed rather small compared to other waffle houses I have been in but I am not holding that against them. I will definitely definitely be returning in the future and I hope future Unilocalers check it out because it really is a nice Waffle House I promise you that!

This location is brand spankin new so still has a few rough edges. First off the service was great. Going in at 1215am wasn’t sure how that was going to be. At one point there seemed to be more staff than patrons at first but then the booths started filling in. I haven’t been to a Waffle House in an extremely long time so not sure if they are all lacking in seating or if this one was to be primarily for take out but there were not that many booths and no seating for parties more than 4 people unless you wanted to stuff people with chairs at the end of the booth(which we did for our party of 6). The food was very good and delivered pretty promptly. So the reason a-ok was the check out line and long wait. For our party to check out took about as long as it took for us to get our food. They really need two cash registers going and maybe split up the take out orders and payment vs paying eat in bills. They had two people accepting(on paper) take out orders from those who walked in but then everyone was sent to one register. The place was nice and bright with the new white tiles.

Even for a true waffle-house experience, this place could use some work. I was actually pleasantly surprised by two things: 1– Our server. She was very kind, and very efficient. Even amongst the drunk people staggering in to get their late night fixes, she remained unaffected and attentive. 2– The food. Don’t get me wrong, it was still waffle house. However, the food came out very quickly and was still steaming when it was set on our table. Sooo, the food was good. The service was good… that’s all there is, right? wrong. There were two problems with this facility: 1– The size of the facility. I went on a Wednesday night in the middle of the summer i.e. hardly any students even remaining in Clifton. Every table was filled in the restaurant. Add 100 drunk college students the mix… this is going to be ugly 2– The checkout procedure. I’m familiar with how to checkout at a Waffle House. I know the etiquette. But this restaurant has so little space and such a high volume of people in it that it literally took about twenty minutes to checkout after having quick and efficient service the entire meal. Overall, It’s not awful. Having said that, I doubt I will return after it becomes infiltrated with drunk students desperately trying to pile on the freshman 15.
