Love the atmosphere! It is so great to be able to sit by a fire with friends in the winter and chat with a glass of wine. Food is great, and healthy!

Updating my previous 5star review to reflect my current opinions on this business. While I love the ambiance and idea of Unwind, the staff has never seemed to be very friendly during my last few visits. Their website lists that they’re open until 1am most nights, but on several occasions, the bartender will close(hours) early if they’re not very busy. You never really know if they will be open during the week at 1030 or 11 if you go to meet a friend for a late night glass of wine. If they don’t see business at that time, I think they should look into changing their hours. On my last visit, a girlfriend and I grabbed a glass of wine and were chatting when a couple was turned away from the bar and were told they had already called for last call(our waitress has told us about 2 minutes before they walked in and there were plenty of people still scattered throughout the bar, not to mention they were still«open» for another 40 or so minutes). I totally understand treating your staff well and getting them out in a timely manner, but at a certain point that way of doing business leaves a bad taste in your mouth. I have definitely had some great experiences and visits at Unwind and have been helped by very friendly staff members in the past. I will still visit Unwind from time to time — as they have an impressive selection and, as I stated before, I love the ambiance — but I tend to choose a different Cincinnati wine bar when presented with the option.

We’ve tried to like this place. We really have tried. But the wine is simply over-priced. The food is over-priced an under-whelming in both taste and quantity served. $ 16 for a cheese plate that has 3 tiny pieces of cheese and there’s no happy hour discount on the cheese plate. Extra crackers, you desire??? Ok, but you must pay for those too. I cannot believe Unilocal would name Unwind as any sort of recommended establishment for its viewers. I HIGHLYRECOMMENDOAKLEYWINES just a few minutes away! The prices at OAKLEYWINES are far more reasonable and the staff is highly educated. The cheese plate is not only well-priced, the quantity(plus artisan meats) is generous! The new wine bar is warm and inviting. There’s just no good reason to waste your money at Unwind.

Cosy and lovely place to enjoy a flight of wines and some quality snack. I especially enjoyed sitting by the fireplace in a big comfy armchair :) Quite a treat! The choice of wines is endless and the beer drinkers will also find something satisfying. Will be back! One little annoyance: would be much more enjoyable if our server that day was more professional and had a tiny bit of knowledge about the menu.

Last night a friend and I stopped in to grab a drink. We actually almost left because there was nowhere to sit, but luckily some people left and we found a seat. My friend made her own wine flight and really enjoyed her wines. I ordered the mango moscato and didn’t really like it, but that’s my own fault, I should have stuck with something familiar. The thing that makes me rate this place so low is that the service was ridiculously slow. I ordered a slice of chocolate cake and after 15 minutes the server came around and I told him to just cancel the order, he said that it was taking long because the kitchen was behind. It took us a long time to get our checks and by this point I was aggravated and just ready to leave. I may give it another try and go back for their happy hour, but I am not 100% sure.

Absolutely love this place! A little upscale wine night with the girls or hubby. The venue is so gorgeous! Dimly lit just an over all great ambiance. The flat bread is surprising good as well. The only down side is it is a little pricey of course.

What an amazing place to relax and have some excellent wine and bites. The atmosphere is fantastic. Very cozy and relaxing. Comfy chairs and dark brick and it warm and inviting. The wine flights are awesome. You can make your own by picking 43oz pours. Yum! Our waiter had good suggestions. There was a good variety of red and whites. The food was awesome! The cheese plate was fabulous as was the warm olives but the Crostini Cherve stole the show. The shallots and lemon zest made the dish. It was perfect. We will definitely be back for this amazing experience. Also they have happy hour specials off of their apps and wines! It’s almost too good to be true! Prices we reasonable for everything at we got.

This is a great little place that sits tucked away off the street. Always good service and a great ambiance. I usually enjoy more of the beer than wine but they have good offerings of both. I’m not sure what I had on the tacos when I went there previously, but they were delicious.

I love this place. You can come here for many reasons, from a first date to comforting your friend that just got dumped and wine always fixes the problem. The inside is similar to an upscale lounge and outside is great in the summer. They have lots of tables with fire pits and glass and other things to charm you. The wine glasses range from $ 9-$ 12 and everything I’ve had is delicious to drink. They offer multiple glasses of every varietal you can think of, and every server has an opinion as well. They have a couple premade flights but you can also ask to mix your own. The food is all vegetarian and I might’ve had the best black bean burger of my life(and I’ve had a lot of black bean burgers). The only downside is how crowded it gets on weekend nights. It seems to be a great place to go for people to meet that avoid the crowded bar scene downtown. Being around the corner from me, this is a favorite spot for me to hang out with girlfriends.

When you want a quiet alternative to a noisy bar this can meet the need. Wine expertise isn’t quite like a sommelier, but the ambience is outstanding. I really like the feel of the place and location. Good quality wines, but I would use your wine app when making the choices.

Expensive, unless it’s happy hour. The patio is nice with comfortable seating. You don’t feel like you’re in Cincinnati. Great people watching. The flatbreads are probably the best deal on the menu. The cheese board is $ 16 and pretty small, with extra crackers offered for $ 1.

Unwind is my go-to place for girls night out. Unwind would also be a great place to take someone for a first date if you’re trying to impress them with your wine knowledge. This wine bar is dark, sexy, and inviting on the inside, with a large glass front wine room so you can see all of the bottles and a huge fireplace. There are lots of cozy seating areas scattered around the room, and it’s great for small groups or couples. For large groups, I would recommend sitting in the patio outside because there’s more space out there for larger tables. Their wine list is extensive. I normally order the featured wine flight of the night, which includes 4 – 5 small pours of different wines. The last time I was there they had a featured Italian flight with two whites and two reds, so you got to try a variety. A wine flight costs around $ 20, so this place isn’t exactly cheap, but you didn’t come here to get wasted on cheap booze… You came here for the«high-end» experience. Service is a little slow, but I think that’s because they want to leave you alone and let you enjoy your wine. Expect to be here for at least 2 hours just chilling and hanging out. Don’t come here if you want a cheap drink and to head to the next place. FYI, they have a limited list of beers. This is good to know if you’re with someone who just doesn’t drink wine(aka my boyfriend).

I attended an event here and really enjoyed myself! Their inviting patio led into a beautifully decorated space; so rustic yet cozy! I felt like I was transported to a high-end lodge! The bathrooms had beautiful granite countertops and ceramic tile, and very clean. The wine selections were wonderful and the small bites I sampled were the perfect pairing to my glass of wine. I can’t wait to come back with my husband for a date night, on our own. Definitely a hidden gem, that you should experience yourself!

Great local wine bar with personality and atmosphere! Darrick and his team definitely make everybody feel welcome. With over 200 wines on the list there TRULY is something for everyone. And, over 50 of those are poured by the glass! The inside boasts a nice sized fireplace with a separate room to host parties if desired. They have a beautiful patio with plenty of seating and heaters/fans to help control the elements. If someone in your group doesn’t thrive on wine, they also have a full bar with liquor and beer. Small plates are the theme for food. Rotating menu of vegetarian offerings from flatbreads to burgers to hummus. Great place to sip, off the scene, of Hype Park Square!

My go-to wine bar! I’m so glad we found this place with a number of other wine bars in the area. The casual atmosphere is dimly-lit and relaxing, the perfect way to enjoy a generously poured glass of wine! The servers know their stuff which is very helpful when you are interested in trying something new. Be sure to get here early to get a spot in the nice leather chairs by the fire!

Last weekend was my first time here, and I’ve heard nothing but good things. The ambiance was nice. I went later in the evening, and it was crowded but not so much so that we couldn’t find a seat. It’s dimly lit, but not to the point where I can’t see where I’m going. I’m over standing shoulder-to-shoulder with people, and Unwind provides plenty of room, and a bar to sit at. I’ll definitely head back!

Funny before last week, I’ve only been here twice and both times were for brunch. Huh? Yeah they serve a light brunch, which is pretty decently if you are not starving. Finally I came for happy hour with the girls. As expected, it was quite packed by the time I got there around 6:10 on Friday. We sat at a small 2⁄3 person table in the corner. It’s cozy, and bustling, but not too loud that you have to raise your voice to be heard. Perfect for catching up with coworkers(quite a few people were dressed all spiffy from work). We each got a glass and then shared a bottle and some food: olives, bruschetta with tartar sauce(yum! bread was nice and crunchy), flatbread pizza, and the veggie burger. The veggie burger patty was surprisingly great: shiitake mushrooms did the trick. Service was wonderful. For a busy Friday evening, they weren’t slow with our orders at all. Next time I’ll try the wine flight.

I can’t believe Hyde Park has this cute little gem tucked away! Amazing ambiance, low-key, classy and elegant vibe. My favorite wine bar in cincy by far. The whole place is just so classy yet laidback for you to enjoy a glass or two(or a bottle!). They also have beer in addition to their extensive wine list. My group and I tried their mango Moscato and a pitcher of their Sangria, both delicious. We also got the artisan cheese board to snack on. They have a nice outdoor garden with a couple fire pits when you walk in. Inside has dim lights and an intimate feel, a couple TVs on the walls, and they always play wine related movies on their TVs! A great classy place to catch up with friends over some wine & small bites, or a great low key date spot.

I really wanted to like this place. The cheese board we enjoyed was really nice as was the wine but the atmosphere was just, I don’t know, uppity. We like a nice place as much as the next guy but this place felt so pretentious. Everyone around us seemed to be regulars and some of the staff seemed snobbish. Our waiter was very nice and personable, but I just felt out of place and not necessarily welcome. I can see the appeal, as this place could be very romantic or a nice place to take someone for a drink but I will most likely not return. Just not for me.
