Worst moving experience we’ve ever had. Items were broken, lost, improperly transported. When they had to accept responsibility for the broken items they said«it was made of cheap(material)» instead of apologizing and making it right. The attitudes of the staff were awful. They all seemed very unhappy to be working the day we needed them and complained about how they weren’t even supposed to be there that day but had to come in to work anyway. When they needed to dissemble a baby crib they needed tools and instead of having their own they used mine, and then kept! During the process they lost two of the screws required to assemble the crib so when I got to the new property I had a plastic bag of screws with two missing and had to run to the hardware store to replace them before we could even assemble the crib. They are called Two Men and a truck, but can offer a 3rd mover(or even more) if needed. I requested 3 movers to help cut down on time. When the movers arrived about 9am, there was no 3rd person. They said he’d be there later. By 12:30 there was still no 3rd person and they weren’t even halfway done loading the truck so I called their office. The manager came by the property, said they’d have 2 other movers that just finished up from another job come by and help for free which I was an excellent solution and I felt the right decision on their part. When the additional movers arrived the pace picked up significantly(the two new movers were much more efficient than the original two), everything seemed to be going much better, but then the manager left and they slowed right back down. Naturally unloading a truck is faster than loading it so after arriving at the new property things did go a little faster but not well at all. Boxes were dumped in the nearest spot that they could, which happened to be our garage at the new home, instead of being taken and placed in the proper rooms throughout the house despite the fact that every single box had been color coded and labelled with exactly where it needed to go. They are supposed to ask you where do things go and they didn’t. I had to continuously run around the house to see where things were going and more than once ask them to take something obvious out of the garage and put it in the correct room. With temperatures below freezing that evening I had to go through all of the boxes to find things that could not be kept in a cold garage and move them to the proper rooms in the house which took up several hours of my evening long after they had left since I kept discovering boxes in the wrong places. The staff milked the clock all day long, no sense of urgency whatsoever, did a great job racking up a big bill until they got the hours they needed then they hopped in their trucks and drove off faster than they’d moved all day. I walked through the new home and found that they had left all of the large furniture wrapped up in blankets and plastic, didn’t clean up after themselves at all. After they had already left I went back to the previous property to wrap things up and make sure it was emptied and to pick up the remainder of the small items, and they had left an entire load of larger items that were supposed to be taken. I called the main office to let them know that they had left a large pile of items and I needed someone to come back but the office had already closed for the day so we ended up having to find a way to move it ourselves later that evening. The company never called me back regarding the items left behind. A few days later I got a customer service follow-up survey call asking how my move went, I let her know, she said she’d pass the message along and they’d be in touch. After receiving no response I contacted the corporate office, and they were fantastic. The woman that I spoke to regarding the customer service portion was very understanding, very professional, and took down several notes to pass along to the local franchise. She said the local franchise would need to be the ones to correct the issues, so I spoke with someone from the franchise again. Played phone tag for a while, could never get the person I needed to talk to when I called. Nearly two weeks after the move by now, I called again, left another message. Finally got a call back from the manager who said he thought that since I received the credit back for the broken items that it was all okay now. I said no, that was only part of the problem. He also stated that his staff had a different version of the story and basically said he did not believe me. If you’ve read through this far, hopefully you can see that I would not recommend this particular franchise whatsoever. Movers are expensive, yes, but they are supposed to help take some stress out of moving and make the process smooth and as quick as possible. They did nothing but create more stress. Use a different company(or franchise at least).
