Had breakfast here when visiting Cincinnati from Scotland. The bacon is great — crispy enough to snap but not shatter, and very tasty. I had the potato pancakes — portion is huge! The corned beef hash was good, though a little too mushy for my liking. Overall, would visit again.

Huge 6 egg omelettes! Lots of breakfast options with pancakes, crepes, eggs and more. Prices very reasonable. Watch the addon prices. 3 pancakes come with meals. They will ask what type you want and you get 1.50 upcharge. Ditto for cheese in scrambled eggs. Higher prices for drinks. Bacon, sausage, canadian bacon and ham included. Crowded on Sundays. Not open for dinner.

Always delicious, always amazing. From the beautiful fish tank when you first walk in to the never ending sea of smiling faces from the employees, you won’t be disappointed with the place. That’s even before you taste the food. It’s always great. You can’t go wrong with the pancakes obviously, but the crepes won’t let you down either.

Very good, We enjoyed seeing the fish while we ate. It is usually busy on the weekends so be prepared to wait.

It sounded like a good place. I love pancakes. It wasn’t very good. I went her a few months ago and I’ll probably never go back. Like they don’t even have decent syrup. Who even uses that sugar stuff? IHOP is the same way. I mean, if you’re a pancake restaurant, you should be able to make a pancake. Whatever. I would not go here if you like pancakes. This place is garbage.

Incredibly long wait — and they don’t honor the order of the list. Many people came in after us but were seated first. The service is bad. People who were seated after us were served first. Took a long time to even be acknowledged. Food came very fast but my side of bacon came when I was halfway through my waffle. Very greasy bacon.

I’ve been a loyal OPH customer(the Montgomery location) for nearly two decades. Great food, and the Beechmont location has the same great selections. However, we tried the Beechmont location today for the second time, in case the first time was an anomaly, and we actually left after waiting for our server to get back to us to get our order. There’s something really strange about how this location manages itself. The wait for a table is incredibly long(even when there are tables available), and there aren’t enough staffers to greet, serve, and clear tables, and so employees end up doing all but in a very disorganized and inefficient manner. Beechmont is no busier than Montgomery and yet both times we’ve been we’ve waited unreasonably long times to be seated, and then to be offered drinks, and then for those drinks to be served, and then for the orders to be taken. Our server was clearing other tables for ten minutes after telling us she’d be right back to get our order when we finally decided to just leave. Someone needs to rethink the whole system of how this location operates when it’s busy because it’s really a mess. It’s also very loud. Great fish tank though. But we won’t be back.

This place surprised me. After reading Cindy’s review I thought it’d be a terrible place. I’ve lived here 11 years. I visited the place when it was a pizza hut restaurant, I watched it sit empty and people restored it finally, and now it’s this breakfast place. I guess I watched and waited and finally after getting word it was good, I decided to try it. It’s good, loud, but good. I guess because it’s so open with a gorgeous fish tank, and the kids are fascinated by the fish. Dad’s whistling, kids playing the gummy bear video on their electronic devices, over and over again, old people laughing with their grandchildren and with each other. I could hear everything anyone ordered from across the room and it wasn’t even a full house. I should’ve worn earplugs. I ordered the western omelet plate. I also had biscuits and gravy. My daughter and I shared. The meals were huge! Everything came out hot and great. The biscuits were overcooked. The pancakes were very good. IHOP pancakes are definitely bigger. There is a sausage situation here. I really like home made sausage. The omelette even though it tasted great had cut up sausage links in it and also in the sausage gravy. The gravy was a thick white consistency with thick cuts of sausage link. It was pretty strange. The omelet was filled with veggies made with six eggs cooked great as large as my plate. It was just weird tasting sausage links in there. The waffles are not like most restaurants, they cook things right into the mix instead of throwing the topping on top. Everything seemed very neatly organized with all the food. Everything we ordered was enough for the three of us to share. We had the omelet, pancakes, waffle, and sausage gravy and biscuits. Breakfast is not my favorite meal of the day but I think I’d go again.

Love this place for good but different pancake choices, goetta, corned beef hash. The food has always been good and the restaurant is clean and taken care of. I’ve had bad experience with the service in the past, but I don’t think the waiter works there any longer. Recently, has been fine. Don’t expect to walk in and be seated on a weekend morning because there is always a wait. Is a little more expensive than your average breakfast place but the food is worth it.

Fantastic restaurant. Went there on a Sunday morning. Our waitress was Dez(One of the best waitresses I’ve ever had) very helpful and suggested her favorite items from the menu. We chose the Uncle Special which was two over medium eggs, home fries, sausage patty and three huge banana pancakes. My girlfriend had the biscuits and gravy with a order of the pecan cinnamon sugar French toast. We shared and loved both dishes. Also the coffee was great, but especially at the price for bottomless coffee pot was only $ 2.00 which is a steal. I highly recommend this restaurant due to the food, cleanliness and the amazing staff.

I haven’t had great experiences in the past here, but in a whim decided to come here with my little sister. I ordered the Country Benedict and she got the fruit crepes. I started to get worried when the food wasn’t out after 15 minutes but when it finally came, I’ll admit it was worth the wait. For a pretty busy place, I guess you can’t expect to be served extremely quick. I would recommend it for a lazy morning meal!

Best breakfast around! I got the fresh fruit breakfast with strawberries and my boyfriend got the Uncle Tiny’s special and we were both very happy with our orders. All the food tasted fresh, not out of a box, and not like it’s been sitting under a warmer. The homemade whipped topping was super tasty and the service was great too. Both of us being big coffee drinkers loved the coffee and got offered to go coffees with our check. We will definitely be going back for more! Highly recommended!

Just had great omelets, super service, nice people. If you like real breakfast this is where to go. Better value than chains in the neighborhood.

This was by far the WORST breakfast experience we have ever had. We had to wait for a table when the restaurant was almost empty, then waited 15 mins for someone to come to our table and the waitress never apologized. Someone different than our server ran our food out and said«Who ordered the goetta?» Threw it on the table with no greeting at all. My husbands goetta was undercooked as well as my bacon. My apple waffle tasted nothing like apples. Their food is way too expensive for any of this. Never returning. EVER. Crackle Barrel will be it for us. I am disgusted. You know the bacon is undercooked when my husband wouldn’t even finish it.

I really love Pancake house for its food. I’m a HUGE breakfast person, so when I moved to Cincy, this place was the place I went to for comfort food brunch. Until I found Clinton St. Bakery in NYC I found myself craving for Pancake house’s super thick, crispy cooked bacon everyday before I moved here. Best things to get? I personally love the Pecan waffle – they’re super generous with the pecans. The tropical syrup honestly just tastes like really sweet marmalade, but its good with the pecans sinve they make the waffle more savory-ish. My boyfriend always gets the strawberry waffle, which comes with generous whipped cream and a delicious sweet strawberry compote. Be aware though, most times the waffle is cooked perfectly, but its not consistent – sometimes they overcook it. Bacon lovers, the bacon here is thick and yummmmy. The reason why I give it three stars is because although service is friendly, this place has horrible wait times(we waited 30 mins one time and 50 today). If you want to beat the rush, you better get here early. For a place that focuses on brunch hours, a huge wait time makes this place a pass for new establishments like Hang Over Easy. My bf and I used to come out here out of our way, but now we only come here if its to eat with his folks in Anderson. tl;dr waffles & bacon are good. long wait times.

Out of Control. This is the second time we have been to this restaurant and our orders were messed up. Allergies dictate that some members of our family cannot eat certain things(e.g. cheese). The waitress wrote it down clearly. The kitchen completely ignored it. When they made the replacement, they again ignored what she wrote. The waitress was very accommodating and apologetic, and did what she could. We asked for the manager, and soon found out why things are in such a mess. There has not been a manager at this restaurant for some time. To add insult to injury, the owner is absent. The kitchen runs unchecked, and apparently knows better than the patrons or the wait staff in this restaurant. Some of the food they made was good, but its just not worth the headache. Notably, the one in Montgomery is not owned by the same people, and managed well. We’ll just drive there from now on(same food but a pleasant experience).

I don’t think I have ever started a review by saying DONOTCOMEHERE. This is a first, but I want you to know up front please, for the sake of your family, and money do not eat here. We came here for breakfast and ordered up some pretty traditional items, I got the«country benedict» which is essential biscuits and gravy with a sausage patty on the biscuits. This food was inedible. I love breakfast, I love biscuits and gravy and this was not food. This was a cold dump of watery flour slopped on a store bought biscuit, with absolutely no seasoning or flavor, and god only knows what that sausage was made out of. I spit out the first bite and was seriously scared to eat it. A complete disaster. The bf got some scrambled eggs. How the hell do you mess up scrambled eggs? First off the portion came on a platter, not kidding look at the photo. Second the eggs again were luke warm, and the ingredients seemed to be dumped out of a bag. The sausage didn’t seem to be cooked before they entered it into the scrambled and the seasoning tasted like a cheap taco salad. Another miserable excuse to serve people. The only shining moment of our completely overpriced meal was the smile on the friendly servers face. Having spent way above what a breakfast should cost, and leaving hungry, I felt complete unsatisfied and sick to my stomach. For the love of God please take your family somewhere else. It is a problem if you are a breakfast joint and you can’t cook eggs.

Initially I was very impressed with the nice interior and ambiance at this location. The variety on the menu seemed to also be pretty good, including numerous savory breakfast options as well as TONS of different kinds of pancakes! To be honest, I was not very impressed with my eggs Benedict. It came out looking and smelling great, but it tasted rather bland. My husband’s food was similarly boring, as he got the ‘homemade eggs and cornbeef hash’. Again, it looked good and tasted fresh, but didn’t have much flavor. He also got panackes with his meal and opted to pay extra to get the coconut pancakes, which were quite delicious. In the future, we will come back for breakfast ‘sweets’, but probably not get the savory stuff again, as the flavorless food was not really worth the money!

Do you like to eat? Do you like to eat A LOT? Well let me tell you, if you are in Anderson, COMEGETSOME. Lots of homemade flavors like their orange juice and whipped cream. The BACON is BOMB! thick cut and maple flavored. it back fires a little when dropped in to the pancakes, but THEREBEBACONINTHEBATTER!!! can’t argue with that. Oh, and the apple pancake they brag about… Think Cinnabon, in pancake form, and you can start there. It’s rich, decadent, and you’ll want a box, or you’re going home in a wheel barrow. Definitely good place to share. To address the time concern, some of the items, like omelette’s and the apple pancake do take 15 – 20 minutes to bake, so don’t order them if you are in a hurry. Still, everything I had was delicious. The eggs benedict sauce was a little dry maybe from waiting for the apple pancake, who knows… the texture was weird, maybe don’t order a quick and a long dish, and you’ll be fine.
